Could Wilson have succeeded in a better situation under better coaching? Unknown, but it's a question I find myself asking a lot.

The real question is how much do Wilson own Dax Milne and the oline for his one standout college season - making Wilson a multi-millionaire.

The fact he went nr 2 is laughable.

    Neither is NFL talent.

I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them.

As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.

XL is 4 years younger... think this is Moores 8 year in the league. Wild - both being late first rounders.

  3. Did Brees give people a heart attack every time he was sacked, thinking now the ball will come out and recoved by the other team...

Don't know how many times BY losing the ball have been saved by penalties. Feels like it might be an achievable NFL record for him.

Anyone finding his stats for losing the ball, lost, saved by penalties or recovered? Does the stat fumble include stripsack or similiar reason for the ball to come 'out' or is it just a "run stat" and not a "qb stat"??

Think this has good odds of being a nice defensive front draft coming up

    Sounds good.

I also noticed the DE and DT might have been switched. Isn't Robinson more if a DE? But what about Cam Jackson, DT or DE. But I guess the front three is more fluid in reality than on paper and the DC don't like big DTs 🤷‍♂️. But 5 is still a small number.

TBH, I’m in the minority, but I don’t think he should’ve been given this season.  This QB class of 2025 was not great, but Sanders would’ve been an ideal developmental QB to push Bryce, and in the case that he flops again (which I expect), he could’ve stepped in and probably done really well as a rookie.

I wanted the team to pick him once the fell as he did. Just wrote about it in another thread. We had pick 140, 5th, he went 144.

I thought giving BY this season was the right call.. not sure its logical. because after looking at the stats (right after the draft). Hm. Did it "match" with what we felt during the end of last year. Not really.

So you might be correct with BY not deserving another year.

    Guess we will find out.

  6. When Sanders fell to the 5th round, the team should have picked him with 140.

"We need a backup 2026 when Daltons contract ends."....

But the intention to let him compete with the new first round QB pick 2026 if BY failed. If BY show up, could have traded Sanders for a cheerleader or whatever. 5th round is nothing.

    - There are no known potential franchise qbs on other teams depthchartz waiting to get an opportunity. Roll the dice on draft picks. Should pick a QB each year until you get it right..

Already see how this season will go. Bryce will struggle, we’ll go like 1-5 or some sh*t. Bryce will pick it up, and play mediocre, while his loyal subjects will find stats that will have them loudly state how he was a top 10 QB last half of the year, and we’ll finish 5-12.

    I doubt that.

If he doesn't show up and produce this season, he should be replaced. And I think most here agree with that. Everyone know his physical ability is limited. If his mental play can't overcome that in year 3, there is nothing there to hang on to. Mediocre QB play wont turn around this franchise.

I'd prefer anything over the neverending cycle of pharma ads showing people having the time of their lives with happy music playing while a laundry list of atrocious side effects is read by the narrator.

The international service is run by Germans and they make their own commercial break and put it on repeat.

Bored Kill Me GIF by Bounce

  9. Don't know if I can watch more.

Every commercial break, my service talks about a San Fran documentary pulling Montana for Steve Young and a QB controversy, then Micah P, and then maybe season opener with Rams.. and then some other boring generic European soccer clips. And repeat if the break is longer...

Gah..  I prefer the US commercials. I want them. Bad. 😂

Yeah, he was. But a ball placement that slowed him down brought the defender back into the play resulting in a contested pass. It was just a subpar throw to a subpar receiver against an All-Pro DB. Nothing about the result should be surprising.

Ok, sure, might meet the definition of a contested catch. You know that better than me. 👍 but rewatching it, not like Stinglry affected the outcome of the play.

If you don't want to be accused of coping then stop doing it. How often do you honestly expect a subpar starting TE to convert passes that could've been placed better while being contested by All Pro DBs? Just give me a percentage.

I'm at 90% exactly what we saw.

100% Agree that it could have been placed better.

Contested?  No. Go back and watch the play again. CB had to throw himself just to be able to touch the TE.

With a better placed ball, wouldnt even need to "break a tackle" to gain YAC.

Comment from Dane Brugler regarding his final mock draft:

"Honestly, I hope it doesn’t play out this way — I want chaos, and there’s a good chance we get it this year."

A good chance for "chaos" 🤔

Brugler doesn't really elaborate any further, and for the record his final mock is pretty standard (Panthers take Jalon Walker).

Still, the comment about there being a "good chance" at things going a little squirrely caught my attention.

    That would certainly be...interesting 😎

In your other thread, don't remember the title. Some insight was that most teams in top 10 was looking into trading out of their pick.

    Sound like potential chaos.

Will it happen? Depend on teams accepting a lot less compensation for doing so.

Maybe some top 10 teams even will be considering trading up, if their attempt to trading down is getting low balled. Just to get a blue chip player. 🤔 🤷‍♂️
