Yeah, I was just thinking afterwards, he had some really good plays today. But it’s the bad ones… a true franchise QB would’ve had 4 TDs before that last one to Tet. The plays have been there… like you said, the number of times he just balls up and eats a sack or is completely oblivious on 4th down plays, or free plays from penalties is unreal. The number of 4th down plays he’s just threw the ball away or ate a sack, I’ve never seen so many mistakes by a single player in my life. So even in the games where he makes a few great plays, the bad ones still end up outweighing it. If he converts that 4th down instead of falling and laying there, this is a very different looking game. We could’ve milked the clock and been methodical. Instead we’re forced to do the spectacular.

Why do we have Cherelus out there still when we know with 99% certainty they are gonna pass?

I think DC is probably a great scheme and development guy. As a HC, I think his weakness is situational stuff. That’s the second time this year I remember chasing points with a 2PC has come back to bite us.

I’ve never really decided my own verdict on Canales, but considering his history and work, I have tended to believe much like all of our other issues is that it’s Bryce and almost Bryce alone. i also know in the QBs Canales has succeeded with, Bryce is the antithesis of them in regards to his ability and traits. We just need to get him out of here and get a fit for DC’s system.
