  1. It should be simple: Make your title game and win (in), lose (committee talks, but probably in). Don't make your title game (out). The Power 5 will be back so that could easily give you 10 of the 12 teams. So that leaves 2 spots a year per se. Do you give it to two smaller conference champs? Sounds perfect. Teams out will say, But But We're Ranked! To which you reply, too bad, you couldn't even make your title game. Fans would MUCH rather see a 1-2 loss Louisiana, Tulane, Marshall, UNLV, Bowling Green, etc. than a 3 loss Alabama. BUT ... big Media wants Bama so my entire post is moot.

Only one man can do something about that and keep Bama out….

Yours and everyone’s favorite coach…Dabo!!!!  Clemson wins and they can keep Bama out

Clemson is in ok, but they'd much rather see Bama in over the losing SMU, SC or a Miami. I know it's about money, but there are a number of 2 loss teams that deserve it more than Bama does. It is what it is though. The CFP will never be like March Madness with its cinderallas and upsets. It'll always be SEC/Big 10 heavy with the other Power guys rounding it out plus one "other school" like Boise St every single damn year. But what really screws it up is Notre Dame. They don't play in a title game so they'll almost always have an "automatic bid" yearly with up to 2 losses. Stop being a fancy bitch and just go ACC football, you Irish dolts.

I don't understand this comparison - you couldn't name 2 more different players at the same position than Jameis and Young, and I don't mean that in terms of success or failure in a career. They have wildly different strengths and weaknesses (virtually opposite lol)

    As in ability/success.

  4. I was on the road all day but got to listen to the game on Sirius NFL or whatever it's called. Kuechly and Delhomme on the mic. Jake is a piece of work lol. Anyway, one thing he pointed out I found interesting was that the ref who was out would've been the ref in the backfield that calls holding. So that's why both teams got away with it.

Also, none of them (forget the main booth guy's name) had an issue with them not giving the TD to AT. They said it was because of the camera.

My take away from the game is that Bryce is still not it. We were in the RZ a lot and came away with jack. We were also lucky (despite EP missing FGs) as the Bucs kicking was the worst ever. Their punter gifted the Panthers so many things and their kicker also missed a FG. Baker was also off. I put this loss on them playing bad.

They will be in IMO.  They beat 2 teams that will likely make it and 1 loss is to the #1 team.
Can’t see Indiana in over them when the Buckeyes blew them out last week.

I'm just saying you should have to be in your title game in order to get to the CFP. And definitely not make it in over the loser of the title game.

  6. It's a no-win situation. If you want to judge it on SOS, then just put five SEC teams in. If you want to do it by record, better add in something like Army, BYU, Indiana, Tulane, etc. The "it's a 12 team field now' excuse is nothing more than entertainment for the fans ... which is fine. My only gripe is that if a crap team wins one of the Power 4 (5) leagues, they should not get a bye or better seed.

Fun little predictor. You can pick every game for the rest of the season. Right now my 12 are:

    1. Ohio St. (bye)

    2. Miami (bye)

    3. Georgia (bye)

    4. Arizona St. (bye)

    5. Oregon VS 12. BYU

    6. Boise St. VS 11. SMU

    7. Notre Dame VS 10. Texas

    8. Penn St. VS 9. Indiana

    That gives me:

Oregon/OSU for the third time this year (Oregon)

Miami lucking out once again VS Indiana

    SMU playing cinderella VS ASU

    Texas/Georgia one more time (Texas)

    That gives me:

    SMU/Miami again (Miami)

    Oregon/Texas (Oregon)

Oregon then trashes Miami in the finals.
