    I have a gut feeling that Pittsburgh will pass on him, because they don't like him. Cleveland will take him with their 2nd round pick and feel like they got a legendary draft class. Like when they double dipped years ago and got Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden. Incredible draft value. The future had been secured. Everyone lived happily ever after.

    Well I'll go ahead and put my name down. Call me stupid, but I'd rather reach on Walter Nolen at 8 than see us trade down. If that's the best guy on their board at 8, then so be it. He could easily be Jalen Carter, which would be a huge add for us.

    Yeah I'd rather take the guy that's highest on our board than move down 20 picks to gain a few guys that will just be washouts. We need quality players. Use the top 10 pick.

    That's silly though. Statistically the first two rounds have a much higher hit rate than day 3 picks. Just because you can retire off a scratch off lottery ticket doesn't mean it's feasible as a repeatable process.

    Rantanen is still a lethal shooter, but who else can create space for him besides Colorado? The way he cruises around the ice means someone else has to skate with the puck to create space.

    Sure but I think the speculation is they're looking to get more than that. To me it looks like they're trying to sell high while he's coming off a career year statistically. They already know they won't be signing him long term for whatever reasons.

    An elite back is a luxury and their shelf life isn’t long. It’s better to use FA or a trade to make that happen when you already have a good team.
