Well they can play that game all they like. The fact is they didn’t make a single half of an attempt to bring in a halfway competent backup. They made the bed. Now it’s time to sleep in it. They made this Bryce or bust and now it’s bust.

Pretty much all you can do at this point is play Bryce. If he dies, he dies. There’s no other option on the roster and it is what it is. Dalton stinks and anyone we pull up from PS will likely be terrible.

I'm just not sure how useful it is to grade QBs based on what happens to them. Grading them on what they make happen seems to track a lot closer to reality. The entanglement problem is real in football. It makes it difficult to evaluate players individually. But QBs have enough agency to make things happen. And that's what you have to grade them on.

Lawrence didn't play great, but he outplayed Bryce by essentially every actual measure. To come up with some system that says Bryce had a better game is just lying.

I don't think it's hyperbolic at all. I went from hater to believer during the 2nd half of that game. Most guys do not come back from that 1st half.

Not sure how anyone can be 100% sure that Tepper will not fire someone. Even Tepper himself.

They do these at baseball games all the time and I don't even watch them as a spectator. Dude is actually trying to guess which helmet its in.

They won 4 games last year and they're on the first year of a new coach. They have way more money tied up in their underachieving QB, and have less money to build the roster. Dan had at least a 1 year head start, and even more if you count his time with Fitterer. There's no reason DC should have been so thoroughly out coached. And there's no excuse for our team being the worst in the NFL.

Now he'll be lucky to get another DC job without doing a stint as a position coach or going to college.

Franchise is exactly the same age as us. Has a former #1 overall pick that has underperformed, and a new underqualified HC that was Baker's OC for 1 season. It's almost the same situation, but we got waxed by the Jags. It sucks but I don't think Dan and Dave are it.
