I think Darnold and Baker are great examples that's it's more than just the player. The Panthers organization during their tenures here was absolute trash. Both of these guys took 4-5 years to develop, bounce to multiple teams, and finally be placed in a great scenario for them to succeed. Structure and organization is more important than the player some times. Look what Patriots did this year, their roster was devoid of talent last year but you find the right coaching organization, add a few players in free agency and they are in the Super Bowl. These examples make me feel like we need to give Bryce more time to prove himself. If we let Bryce walk and he succeeds else where like Darnold and Baker, then it's the organization's fault and we can have Mahomes as our QB and it wouldn't even matter.

This is the biggest issue with drafting athletes vs actual football players. The NFL combine has just exploded in media attention and popularity so everyone is hyped on a players traits. Who cares how big you are or how fast you run if you don't have the ball in your hands. Anthony Richardson is the perfect example of this.

I'm staring to do research on the off ball linebacker class this year because I think we need a captain of the defense like the Luke days. Sonny Styles, Anthony Hill, CJ Allen are some names to keep an eye on. These guys seem to have the same traits of being instinctive, playmakers, and solid tacklers like Luke.

Wild Card QB Performance Rankings
CarolinaRideorDie replied to thebdawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
These stats don't mean anything. It doesn't correlate to winning the actual football game at all. Bryce played better than Caleb Williams according to stats but Willams won. Jordan Love played better than Bryce but lost. Everyone is so focused that one player makes the whole team. Yes the QB is the most important position, but there are 21 other guys who influence the game too. -
Evero plays a lot of zone coverage more than any DC. I think his philosophy is to play it safe and let them make mistakes, an opportunistic defense. Being so zone heavy, I actually think he greatly relies on an effective pass rush with only 4 guys and he doesn't like to blitz to create chaos. However, our pass rush is so poor and so that's why we get gashed for big chunk pass plays. I think Dan will work hard to upgrade our pass rush, Dan has attacked a team weakness every single off season.

2026 free agent left tackles
CarolinaRideorDie replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think drafting a tackle in the first round is the more logical move. Rookie can start at LT with Ickey possibly missing a large portion to start next year. We also have to start looking at Motons replacement beyond next year too. -
As someone who has not liked Bryce throughout the season…

Rude has shown that he has the ability to win and play great games. It 100% only comes down to consistency for next year. If freaking Mayfield and Darnold can turn it around, I believe Bryce can too. -
I have a hard time believing that Canales will ever give up OC duties. I think he knows that his success as a HC is directly tied to his play calling. Why would you risk your job and put it in another person's hands? He is going to sink or swim based on his play calling.

Given how the season has gone, with win/loss/win/loss. We will lose this game, but win next week at Tampa, but then we'll lose in the first round of the playoffs. -

Kellen Moore just has Evero's number. He is out coordinating Evero. -
The question is, do we resign him this offseason?
-
LOL, tell that to the Bryce haters who quote his stats every game. How many yards he throws for, completion percentages, etc. Stats are only a part of the story, there is much more to it.

Adam Thielen Requests and is Granted Release

So Dan Morgan knows what he is doing?!?! Some huddlers need to lay off of him. I think Dan has done a great job of adding talent and winning trades compared to previous regimes. Dan fixed the Oline year 1, fixed the Dline year 2, added contributors in Mike Jackson for pennies, drafted fairly well. He's not going to hit on every player/pick, but he has contributed to the teams success instead of hurt the team like Fitterer.
