Draft Day 1 press conference:
CarolinaRideorDie replied to PanthersGOATFan336's topic in Carolina Panthers
This interview was way more about Tepper than Scott or Frank. This interview is the most transparent I've seen Tepper ever be. He really does want the best and hates losing. He bet on the wrong horse with Rhule and doesn't ever want to make that mistake again. I fully believe that Tepper is the right owner to do what it takes to get the Panthers to the Super Bowl again! Here comes our dynasty with Bryce Young! -
Evero is Banging the Table Right Now
CarolinaRideorDie replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is very strong talent left in round 2-3. I wouldn't be surprised if we trade down a couple of spots to pick up more quality players. I really feel like we can pick up 1-2 starters in the later rounds. -
Joe Person: Dave Tepper tipped Panthers next pick
CarolinaRideorDie replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Given how the draft has gone tonight, I really think Mayer is a legit option for our second round pick. He gives me Greg Olsen vibes! If you are picked in 2nd round, you are expected to compete for starting spot immediately, there are no further 1st round Wrs but Mayer is 1st round talent. Pick him at #39!- 40 replies

Mike Kaye on possible trade back into 1st round
CarolinaRideorDie replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
People are saying it's Tenn moving up for Stroud. -
I think Luke just enjoys being around football but doesn't feel ready for a coaching position. Luke's demeanor has always been a very quiet presence off the field but on the field he was a maniac! It's kind of weird to see him yelling at players to get the most out of them. At least Reich knows how to treat Panthers legends compared to Rhule.

I don't think we're picking at 39...
CarolinaRideorDie replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel like this team has decent starters at all positions with maybe exception of another edge rusher with Burns injury. Anybody picked in rounds 2 is expected to start or strongly compete right away. My feeling is that we trade down and recoup picks, this draft has been labeled as not the strongest but their are depth guys in the later rounds. I'm in favor of moving back. -
Steve Smith interview with Bryce Young

More conspiracy theory, you know where J Cole grew up? Fayettville, NC. Bryce's fav BB player and rapper are from NC, he going to be #1 pick. -
I think if there is a really good RB value in the later rounds 4-5, then draft him. Chuba's contract is about to expire after this year and we always need depth in case Sanders gets hurt. This is a deep class and I really like Tyjae Spears, a lot of scouts are high on him.

Bryce Young interview with Ryan Clark

Curry is Bryce's favorite basketball player, guess which NFL team is Curry's favorite? You see what I'm seeing? -
Albert Breer: Bryce Young scored 98 on his S2 teat
CarolinaRideorDie replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly, there are two perspectives to a test. A positive correlation and a negative correlation. QBs who score high on the S2 TEND to succeed better in the NFL, and that's all the test is telling you. They don't release poor S2 scores of other players so we don't know if there is a negative correlation. Regardless, Bryce has set himself up to be the #1 pick. Let's go! -
Albert Breer: Bryce Young scored 98 on his S2 teat
CarolinaRideorDie replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Of course, it's only one small piece of the puzzle to his whole evaluation. But scoring highly is just more evidence to what you already knew about him. What if he actually bombed the S2 score but his tape is excellent? Does the S2 test have more significance now that it's negative? just asking. -

Of course no single test or score will explain everything. Bryce scoring high on this test just adds more evidence to what you already know about him. This is only one piece of the puzzle. A high S2 score alone doesn't guarantee success. -

I agree with this perspective. All of these posts about trying to knock Bryce for practicing for this test is ridiculous. If you knew that you were going to college, you know you have to take the SAT/ACT, so you're not going to prepare for it? Give credit where credit is due, just because you prepare for an exam doesn't guarantee success, these are high stakes exams and difficult tests to begin with. -
Probably similar to someone who is "Chief supervising officer of human sanitation" = janitor. I've seen people in big corporations literally come up with a new job title and role just to get their friends a job. Nepotism at its finest.
