  1. Rhule didn't care about Purdy's height and weight, he was more interested in his arm length!
  2. What Canales needs to do during first day of training camp is show old highlights of TD and other Panthers legends to show them what true dawgs look like. This whole team needs an attitude adjustment
  3. That's Dan staring into your soul! You can read a lot into who a guy is by looking to his eyes. Weak men will stare away or avoid eye contact. We need dawgs not just on the field but in the FO too .
  4. Not necessarily, I'm sure Chark runs a faster 40 compared to Theilan, but Theilan has more separation than Chark according to a chart in another post. Sometimes technique and route running are way more important than running in a straight line.
  5. Saquan about to be a free agent this year, he won't come cheap but there is no denying his talent. Obviously, it depend if Saquan wants to come here and he will demand a big paycheck. But imagine what Saquan could do for Bryce.
  6. Good that he said we "need" dawgs because he recognizes that we don't currently have those players. Goodbye Burns? We need to players with attitude and I'm glad Dan Morgan was made GM. He is a former player and he knows the attitude you need to play with to succeed in the NFL. Players will also relate to him because he played the game, they don't have to listen to a GM whose never even touched a football or put on a helmet.
  7. So, WR need to get separation in 2.7 secs or less and O-line needs to hold up for 2.7 secs.
  8. I believe I saw somewhere that both Allen and Williams each cost about $30 mill in cap, and Chargers have a top 5 pick and 3 top 10 worthy WRs available. Just makes sense for Chargers cap-wise, but maybe just wishful thinking on my part to get Allen or a top WR this offseason.
  9. I still believe in Bryce's talent. This chart just further proves that he needs more help. Thielan gets separation and Bryce delivers him the ball, Thielan is our first WR to post 100 rec, 1000 yds in a season since Steve Smith in 2005! Keenan Allen could be a cap casualty and would really help our offense.
  10. If Tepper wants him, he'll buy Carrol's contract out from the Seahawks and hire him. However I think it says a lot that Jim Caldwell is still on staff as an advisor. Maybe Tepper thinks highly of Caldwell?
  11. yeah, I don't want the Huddle to every say that our offense was purposefully vanilla during the pre-season games again. All the issues and concerns from play calling/execution to Ickey's struggles carried into the season.
  12. I think he is busy filling out his staff and prepping for the senior bowl which is what he should prioritize first. At this point, I could care less what he has to say at the intro press conference. We've been bamboozled before with Rhule and Reich speeches. It's all rah-rah speeches without substance. We just want to see accountability and results.
  13. CMC is worth 2, 3, 4. But Burns isn't worth 2 1st rounders? yeah, our FO always has an eye for talent.
  14. Agreed, drafting for QB insurance like we did with Matt Corral was an absolute bust and waste of draft pick. And maybe it's not all the QB's fault, but more because of the crap management and foundation of an organization that's a failure? Mayfield goes to Rams and all of a sudden becomes capable, he goes to Tampa and has a resurgence? Even Darnold in trash time with SF played better than he ever had while in Carolina. Even other players like DJ Moore and CMC are having career years. Maybe it's the Panthers fault and not the player's fault?
  15. I've been paying attention and listening to the draft gurus talk about this year's WR class. It's one of the deepest in recent memory and very good WR talent can be had at #33. Some guys who fall into the 2nd round this year would have been 1st rounders in other years.
  16. Probably, he most likely will choose the Commanders job but he still agreed to an initial interview with the Panthers. At this point, the Panthers have made the decision for him.
  17. At least we can say that the HC and GM are on the same page and won't likely sabotage each other like the previous regime. At least there will be more consistency in the FO.
  18. I think this hire is very telling of who is calling the shots. It's no secret that Tepper wanted Ben Johnson, but for him to listen to Morgan wanting Canales maybe means he is leaving it up Morgan. I would have thought that they would at least wait for a second interview with Ben Johnson before deciding.
  19. I think Vrabel will bring accountability and discipline to the team, but he'll also need good OC. Outside of running King Henry 30+ times a game, he hasn't shown any other creativity. Maybe he and Arthur Smith can have a reunion? They had some of their best times together.
  20. Luvu is the one player that actually played like he cared and embodied the Keep Pounding Mantra as a LB. Tag Burns, if he signs else where then we get a 1st round pick which is more valuable to help the offense. Burn's 8 sacks this year didn't do anything for us, but we could have used 8 more TDs on offense this year.
  21. Tepper being the idiot that he is, he probably just saw the initial B. Johnson and thought it was Ben Johnson so asked for an interview.
  22. The whole FO staff should be Lord Varys because they don't have the balls to stand up to Tepper....see what I did there? lol
  23. No, i'm just trying to put it into context. If the average HC only lasts 3 seasons, why does it matter if it's OC or DC? I think people are just getting tunnel vision that because this is an offensive league then OC must be the way to go at HC.
  24. I think the more interesting stat is how many of these offensive minded HC last more than 3 years into their HC gig.
  25. There are a lot of positives to take from this hire. I do think Dan can be the right hire for the following reasons. 1. He is a former player, our current players will buy into what he has to say and build some rapport with him. Look what John Lynch did for SF. 2. He is former Panther from the glory days/Super Bowl days. He knows this city and has seen the success that we had (Keep Pounding), the current Panthers are a team far from that culture and we need culture. 3. He had up close experience and view of what went wrong during this disaster of a season, from an internal standpoint, sometimes you need to know what went wrong to know how to fix it. 4. He was part of the brass that drafted Young. I know a lot of people will dislike this, but ultimately Tepper was going to find a guy who believed in Young regardless of our opinion of Young. Forwarning, Tepper will hire a HC who believes in Young and can groom him. All of this to say, I know a lot of people will also be against this hire because he was attached to Fitterer. We were so hyped with the "All star" staff last year and looked how it turned out. Maybe Dan isn't the big name we want, but this hire does make sense.
