  1. No,‘our defense just makes every qb look like a hall of famer!
  2. lol, that’s how you know you lack dawgs on the defense. They run the same play again testing you and you still get beat! This defense needs a complete overhaul.
  3. So technically, if panthers win, we knock ATL out. If we lose, we can still knock out Buccs. We are playing spoilers no matter what!
  4. Right on cue for the defense to let them back in! Let’s get another good drive in Bryce!
  5. Best case scenario is that the offense balls out but the defense loses the game, we maintain draft position. We all know this defense isn’t going to be here next year, but the offense will be.
  6. Everyone on defense except for Horn and Brown. Even the entire defensive staff is let go.
  7. I think we saw his value this past Sunday against the Bucs, Mayfield torched us for 5 TDs without him. We always critique our own players but when they are gone or injured, it definitely shows on the field. This is why we have such a depleted roster, we don't keep the talent that we do have. Some huddlers critique giving Chuba that contract but look how our offense stalled without him.
  8. I think you have to compare the pass rushers to the weight of the O-line, average O-linemen is 300+ lbs. An OLB at 270 is going to have a hard time not being mauled by someone 30+ lbs heavier than you, that's just physics. Peppers being a freak of nature is my point, these type of players don't come around often. Abdul Carter is 251 lbs, he's got speed but will he hold up against the run? Burns had all the athleticism in the world but we all knew he couldn't hold up against the run.
  9. a lot of these "elite pass rushers" coming out of college are really undersized now. Their weights are in the 250-270s, it's hard for them to hold up against the run. They don't make Julius Peppers prospects like they used to. I think the game has transitioned to more speed than strength. I think there is more scheme versatility in 3-4. Regardless, you just need playmakers period!
  10. I thought most Huddlers on here didn't care much about his stats but just wanted him to pass the "eye-ball test." To me, his performance in the clutch is more telling, making critical 3rd and 4th down plays to keep the drive alive and in the last 5 mins of a game. This team is still too dysfunctional to get a good eval. He's trending in the right direction.
  11. I think Panthers are currently at #6, and there are 3 QB needy teams ahead of us. Browns, Giants, Titans. If 2 teams pick QBs, that'll still leave a blue chip player at #6. Mason, T-Mac, Hunter, Carter is a very real possibility for us.
  12. dude kicks 2 game winners last year and he thinks he is Adam Vinateri. Get outta here.
  13. This game shows how important Chubba is to our game plan. His runs set up manageable 2nd and 3rd downs. Bryce needs a run game to help, he doesn’t have enough receiver weapons to take over a game.
  14. Don’t doubt Dan Morgan!!!! He knew what he was doing!! Robbed the Ravens!!
  15. Even if you don’t care for Bryce Young, it’s still good content on what the team needs.
  16. This is an awesome breakdown by PFF of what the Panthers should do in the off season from who to cut, who to keep, cap space, free agent signings, and even including a 4 round mock draft. It's a long watch at 1 hour and 30 mins but they gave very good and detailed analysis of the team from strengths to weaknesses. Quick Summary: -need defense help all over the place. Only players worth keeping is Horn, Brown, and Clowney. They name drop realistic free agents on the D-line like Hoyt, Hurst, maybe Khalil Mack. They love signing safety Hufanga from SF as our enforcer in the back end. -on offense, they think Chris Godwin would be a slam dunk given familiarity with Canales, but think Godwin would command a lot of money. They think it'll take 30+ mill per year to get Higgins and he would likely be overpaid. Pats might sign Higgins at that money. -Draft wise, dream pick would be Mason Graham but given mock sim he went to Pats. So they pick Abdul Carter. These guys do a lot of research on college prospects and utilize PFF grades to see their value. They pick DT in 2nd, LB in 3, WR in 4th, and another DL in 4th. Overall pretty cool analysis and I would not be upset if the off season went like this.
  17. It's an organizational failure. We see the product on the field and if it stinks we think it's the players fault. What we don't see is the politics behind the scenes. Imagine you work for a sh*tty company, but the public focuses on your personal work and because you don't perform due to lack of resources and guidance, you're judged as a lazy and poor worker.
  18. I love reading up on draft prospects and reviewing mock drafts for fun. From what I gather is that Carter is physically gifted but really raw. Compared to previous drafts, this year's pass rushing class is not really deep. Carter is the best of the rest. Mason Graham seems to have a higher floor and he can also provide pass rush with a stellar run defense game, which we desperately need. I think there are very few blue chip players in this draft.
  19. Everybody will talk about his stats, but they don't realize the clutch throws and situations he was faced with over the past 3-4 weeks. How many crucial 3rd or 4th down throws did he make just to keep the drive alive? He has given the team a chance to tie or win the game in the last 5 mins of each game. If Panthers would have won the game on a 98 yd drive, that would be the stuff of legends! What's most exciting about Bryce's play is that he has been clutch when we needed it, other teammates have failed him with drops, fumbles, missed XP. If he continues to play like this, it's going to be exciting to watch Panthers football again.
  20. The rest of the schedule is very winnable. If we continue to play like how we did against Eagles and Chiefs, we can win out. Cardinals are in a slump, so it ATL. Bucs can be beat again. It will say a lot about this team if we win a few more games.
  21. I want Jameis's pregame and post game speeches, but Bryce when the game starts. Jameis is such a clown with his comments that I find it entertaining. Eat that W!!
