What is wrong with the Canes? Only loss 2 games in a row but both losses are concerning.

Good news is that Rhule, if the teams stays as it is, will be gone next year. This team is till years away from being contenders. I see nothing positive going into 2022 season.
-
In the NFL it shouldn’t take 3 years to build a playoff contender. 3 is the maximum but it shouldn’t take that long. Took Fox 1 year and Rivera 2, yeah we went 7-9 in 2012 but I think 2012 was a playoff team that was being held back by Rivera until his seat got hot. I know people are pointing at the length of his contract but 7 years doesn’t mean he has a ton of time. If Rhule isn’t fired this season next season will be Rhules last season if he doesn’t make the playoffs. If your team doesn’t make the playoffs in year 3 then your shouldn’t be a head coach anymore. Personally Rhule needs to make the playoffs convincingly not 9-8 or 8-9 bullcrap.

Donte Jackson headed to injured reserve

I hope Tepper isn’t that stupid to use injuries as an excuse to being Matt Fool back. -

First pick is out, unless the Lions start winning, so I can assume the highest we probably can pick is 5th. If we are being realistic. -

Dane Brugler Mock Draft 1.0 (from The Athletic)
TLGPanthersFan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have a feeling a QB will be highest needs, from the teams perspective, going into this draft. Even if some fans don’t agree with it. I bet they will try to get a day 2 pick but trading a player or some late round draft picks. I think the first 2 picks for us will be OL and QB or QB and OL. of course if Matt Rhule is gone who knows what will happen. -
I hope the 5-12 record isn’t the only thing that will get him gone. There is way more damning evidence why Rhule needs to be gone besides a 5-12 record.
-
All the people in the FO I am not ready to give up on Fitterer. Everyone else can go. But he needs to can it with the trades. It was cute last draft, but we now only have 1 pick in the first 3 rounds thanks to some win-now trades and we desperately needed picks 1-3 this offseason.

Lookin like no one wants Rhule
TLGPanthersFan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rhule may be here next year but I doubt he will make in through 2022. I see nothing on this team that says we will even be a playoff team next year. We don’t have a QB or OL. Our defense has been exposed and the holes are forming. We have no draft picks on day 2. 2022 is shaping up to be another lost season before it even begins. I have no idea how this team will be a playoff contender in 2022. Also we don’t have as much cap space as we thought we were gonna have. This team is so screwed up. -
What will you do with your Sundays?

Happy Panther's tank thread and projected draft pick

Bet if we draft a QB we will be aiming for that Pitt QB. -
Happy Panther's tank thread and projected draft pick

True. But for a top 5 pick we would at least get another lower 1st round pick and maybe a 2nd or 3rd or both. I would make it as expensive as you can. -

If we get a top 5 pick I don’t think we will trade it. If we draft in the top 15 then I could see the argument. -
Would you be upset if Rhule left this week to go to LSU?
TLGPanthersFan replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
He could leave. He would likely just forfeit any money left on his deal. -
Matt Rhule: "We have to double down on our approach"
TLGPanthersFan replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
The fact that he is staying pat with his current coaching staff has me suspicious that he doesn’t see the point since he won’t be here for very much longer or he is just very stubborn and won’t change his staff because he still thinks they can be good. -

Me if Rhule left. -
2022 (3rd year of the rebuild) and beyond...
TLGPanthersFan replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
This isn’t college. Rhule has at most 3 years to win. People aren’t being impatient, and even if they are they have every right to be, they just see what is obvious. Rhule is a bad NFL coach. -
Matt Rhule: "We have to double down on our approach"
TLGPanthersFan replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fox: “It is what it is” Rivera: “Missed opportunities” Rhule: “Trust the process” “Rebuild” Phrases and words I hate because of the Panthers coaching staff. -
The way the team has been playing do you really think Matt is gonna suddenly become a good NFL coach? Most coaches in year 2 show improvement. Fox went 7-9 in his first year and then Super Bowl. Rivera went 7-9 in his second year and then 12-4 his third. Showing improvement all 3 years. Rhule has been regressing and most of the blame for how the team is rest solely at his feet. I just don’t think another year will prove Rhule is the coach of the future. The team has avoided “rebuilding” like the plague from the moves they have made.
-
Even with how bad out O-line is I expected some improvement, not regression, from this team.
-
I know some people think that Rhule is guaranteed another season but that Schiano lost the Bucs and coached like he was still in college. Just like Rhule. Guy only lasted 2 seasons.
-
LOL. Grow up man. You are way too emotional.
-
This is the NFL not college. Rhule won't be given as much time as you think. If he comes back next year and we don't make the playoffs he will be fired. NFL can't have rebuilds that take years and years you will lose money and fan interest. Which is a already happening. Tepper is a billionaire, and not the first to fire a coach who was obviously not working out not long into his contract. When it comes down to it firing Rhule is his decision and I feel like Rhule's seat is very hot right now.
-
A 7 year contract means nothing. He was a program builder in college which is completely different from NFL. Doesn't mean he will last 7 years or even 3. Coaches have been fired after one when it is obvious it isn't work out. But from you posts I can see you are an immature child. So I am ignoring you because I honestly can't take your stupidity.
