But it is the truth. Yes, they are in the Super Bowl but Wilks defense was getting gashed in both the Packers and Lions game in the run. Lions and Packers just decided to stop doing what worked. Same thing happened a few times during the season. Especially during the losing streak. Wilks is a great guy but he is an average DC that is greatly helped by being on a team that is stacked defensively.

Purdy probably would have sucked on the Panthers. Purdy is in a really good situation and in a offense that is filled with playmakers that help his strengths while minimizing his weaknesses. I doubt he would have had that with the Panthers and definitely not with Rhule.

As much as it would suck. Just let Burns walk. I agree tagging him would be a mistake if we can't find someone to trade for him and we have bigger needs and little cap space.

It does seem, with Campen now out, that Canales is being going to be able to build his own staff. For better or worse letting a coach pick his staff is always the way to go. Now what we did with Reich last year.
