Adam Silver is no more than a mod boss. Under the table handshake with Dallas … force them to move Luka to the Lakers (LeBron is aging; they need their new star to carry the league). So Silver gets them to move Luka to LA in exchange they’ll receive the #1 pick Cooper Flagg.

It’s so obvious it’s insulting. This league is a fuginggggg joke. Always has been. Ewing, LeBron, Kyrie (after LeBron leaves Cleveland), etc etc etc. It is literally pro wrestling with a ball and hoop.

Adam Silver is the biggest fraud in all of "pro" sports. The NBA is now a joke of a league that is banking on people to just love basketball and ignore reality.

Could see Dallas. If the league dictated the Luka to La trade with the assurance of the number 1 pick

*if* that happens, then we will all know it is rigged. They have a 1.8% chance.

Odds are 0%that we get #1 no matter what anyone says

Yep. Mark my word, the NBA will gift the pick to SA bedside of Pop retiring. We have no shot.

I'm conflicted. Like someone said a team like the eagles problem salivating that he drops to them.

That is why you have to build the culture first, you can afford flyers. You cannot fill your team with malcontents and expect them to help each other.

We aren't there yet, so hell no to him in round 1.

I'm saying give the bitch a chance.....but I will ultimately call bs after the picks if I feel the need to do so...Morgan needs to hit it but we have sooooo many needs. He cant do a Brooks pick again and keep me from blowing up my ass...

Oh, I hoping he figures it out, but last years draft isn't looking so good, with XL underachieving and Brooks with a broken wheel. Remember, he actually traded up to take them both.

This years picks hopefully will be in line to make us better...I'll reserve the day after day 2 to bitch.

You really trust these idiots to draft well after many many years of terrible scouting and drafting?  Morgan was there for some of it, so exactly what changed to make us confident?

If I were in charge I’d cut everyone but Miller and start over. They’re all hurt all the fuging time and when they do play they gave a half ass effort and are a bunch of selfish babies.

As sad as this would be, I'd be on board. This team is unwatchable and the players just don't seem to care.

I think one problem is the league already perceives Lamelo as a traveling parlor trick act.  He's probably the most skilled player to ever wear a Hornets uniform, but he doesn't play to win.  Even when he plays, the carelessness with the ball and fouls etc.  It sucks, but you combine that with the durability issues and I'm not sure he has the type of value Hornets fans would like in return.

I can totally see this.  Once again, this organization drafts a player who they cannot win with and has little value to trade.  Why do they continue to pick the wrong players?

I tend to agree with you and I was frustrated with that as well but we do not know what conversations went on behind closed doors. I think the likelihood is ultimately the front office did speak to Silver and raise concerns but he basically dismissed them thus nothing "official" was filed. The league knows the Lakers are their money maker. They are not going to let that all go down. Stuff like this is why I've largely detached from basketball when I used to be very passionate about it when I was younger. Small markets in this league don't stand a chance.

They don't. Add in a player like LaMelo Ball, who selectively plays when he feels like it, and you cannot compete. If your highly paid players refuse to play full time, what can you do?

  10. What is the point in following this team any longer?  They clearly don't care, so why should we?  Why did we can James Borrego and hire this trash ass of a coach?  These guys SUCK!

That said, if that’s the starting price for Garrett, the Panthers would have to give up their 2025 first-round pick (8th overall), a 2026 first-round pick, a 2025 third-round pick, and potentially a Day 2 pick in 2026.

For a team like Carolina that might be too much to give up for a win-now player even though he would take this unit to new heights. Instead, the Panthers might be better off using those picks to fill various holes in the draft or to acquire under-the-radar players.

Oh, HELL NO, if this is the cost, have these idiots not learned ANYTHING???

Old CTE Dan will continue Fitterer's awesome legacy if he does this.

Guys, we cannot win with this franchise.

Honestly, they played hard against a fsr superior Detroit team. Salaun is a great defensive prospect and possibly one of the worst offensive players I have seen above the high school level.

Yes, "they". Not Ball and the other so called stars. Ball wanted so bad to play against SA and did. Does that mean he just doesn't want to play against other teams?  That guy is a child.

They can't even take credit for SGA. At the time, they traded the pick and chose SGA since that is who the other team wanted as part of the deal.

I suppose you can say Bridges has been healthy, but he's got his off court issues and seems to have stopped trying after getting paid.

Exactly, the one guy that was a good pick was distracted by the team they traded to.

Bridges does not count as a good pick, he missed as many games as some of the others and falls into the availability statement.

This franchise SUCKS at identifying talent.
