Coaching Interview Thread IV: A New Hope
NJPanthers12 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
i truly underestimated how damn stupid david tepper truly is. i went from thinking there was no shot wilks could be the choice, to now ill be pretty surprised if he isnt. this is going to be a dark day in panthers history. we are going begging for the george seifert days after we get done with the wilks era, which i will guarantee will not last more than 3 years. my new prediction is that the panthers will not be in charlotte in 15 years. tepper has zero respect for the fans. zero connection to the city. and we are about to see this fan base disappear like weve never seen before. you cant go from rhule to wilks. the smart fans wont pay and wont show up. this will give him more ammo to move the team. -
if thats the case its a joke. i can guarantee you if david tepper ever were to win a super bowl, it now will have to be after he hired at a minimum 3 head coaches. reich or wilks wont sniff pone here. what a disaster.
-
only david tepper could fire his head coach early, focus on up and coming you offensive gurus, and end up picking between steve wilks and frank reich. to call this guys a disaster would be a gross understatement. jerry richardson was an awful team owner. no matter what the state of the franchise is now, jerry should still have been forced to sell because he was also an awful person. with that all said, if you focus on just football and nothing off the field, he was a superior owner to tepper in every single way.

I understand they have more interviews to do but I wish they’d do the right thing and announce that wilks has been eliminated. Just not fair what they are doing to the fan base making them live in fear that’s it’s still a possibility.

Panthers in Violation of League Rules
NJPanthers12 replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
If anything, if this training is as minor as you’re making it out to be, it then only proves even more how incompetent this disaster duo of owners are. They can’t even follow the simplest of procedures. -

Again, she has zero football background. This is why you build front offices and bring in people with football experience to help with head coaching searches. I don’t know what line of work you are in, but I feel fairly confident my HR team wouldn’t be all that effective at hiring the next coach of the Indianapolis colts. i also have zero idea what point you’re trying to make about this compliance training. Even if it’s what you claim it to be, it is still mandatory. Never once did I say if she took this training she would be more qualified. What I’m saying, is that this owner is an utter dumpster fire who can’t even get this right. Rules are rules and it’s amazing to me that the other 4 teams were able to properly train everyone, but this idiot could not. -

That’s not what you asked. You asked me what her qualifications were. She’s being dinged for not taking mandatory compliance training that was specifically put in due to the whole Brian Flores situation. I don’t understand the argument. If they are mandatory and she didn’t take them, then yes, the teopers are in the wrong. -
Panthers in Violation of League Rules

It was a general statement in a thread I started where I voiced my displeasure of Nicole Tepper being involved. The poster didn’t quote a specific post or reference specific posters. I wanted to make it clear that my opinions are not coming for misogynistic point of view. It seems pretty silly to me that you do not understand this. -

While I don’t know if should waste my time explaining this to you because you are already on record of saying you will no longer be supporting this franchise if they hire Sean Payton, so you might not even be here in two weeks, but hey, I’m a nice guy. I’ll do it anyway for you. total years of football personnel experience: 0 Seems pretty important you know in a search for a head coaching job. -

I was referring to my point of view and that it has nothing to do with her being female. Can’t speak for some of the other idiots in this thread. -
Panthers in Violation of League Rules
NJPanthers12 replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
It has absolutely nothing to do with her being a female. Just most competent franchises turn to search committees or ex HOF Executives. But no, not dumpster Dave. He defers to Nicole, who has zero football background. -

Yeah pretty sure interjecting your wife into the middle of a head coaching search that she’s grossly under qualified for, and failing to put her through the proper and league mandated compliance training, which is only in place due to the whole Brian Flores lawsuit that happened literally less than a year ago qualifies you as a joke. maybe, just maybe you get away with it if you haven’t been an utter dumpster fire since you took over, but unfortunately that’s not the case for Dave. -

Repeat after me. David Tepper is a joke. -

Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
NJPanthers12 replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is batshit crazy or you’re a bandwagon for you to even be mulling the possibility of giving up on your team because they might hire a coach you don’t like. -

Getting eggplant emojis from someone who joined after 2015. Tells me all I need to know. -

7 out of 12 who voted no signed up for these boards after 2015. Tells you everything you need to know about those who voted noted. pleasantly surprised by the results. Was expecting to click and see closer results. -
Nah I’ve been reading this thread and there have been multiple people including myself who have given you legitimate reasons to why wilks would be an abysmal hire. but you only respond to the posts that are calling you out or patting you on the back.

he went 6-6. What did he resurrect, blew 2 golden opportunities to make the playoffs. First game he lost at home to backup qb with Pittsburgh. Then his defense, which is his specialty, completely crapped the bed against Tampa to win the division. If we are celebrating him closing our strong against New Orleans, then idk what to tell you. Thst might have been the single worst offensive performance I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched Jimmy clausen and Randy fasani. let’s not forget about his wonderful 3-13 stint with the Arizona cardinals. Let’s not forget about him getting fired one year with Cleveland after that. The only defensive coordinator job he was able to land after that was at Missouri, a bottom level SEC job. Not one team outside the panthers have interviewed him for a head coaching job post Arizona. if you honestly watch the nfl and see the direction the game is headed and the coaches who are running the dominant teams in the nfl and still think wilks is the answer, then I have no idea what to tell you. You are beyond lost. i promise you if wilks is hired, we are looking for our next coach at a minimum 3 years from now.

Stopped reading at the title of the post. That’s a lot of words to just say I have no idea what I’m taking about.

David Tepper.... Year 5 ownership, + and - of Tepper

Positives: He brought music back to Charlotte. Negatives: Literally every single thing hes done since the second he was announced as owner of this franchise. side note, music never left Charlotte. -
Roman Harper thinks Sean Payton could be our next HC now
NJPanthers12 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’d be way more offended with Steve wilks on the sidelines than Sean Payton. steve smith punched 2 teammates in the face for no reason. Sucker punched them. Still cheered like hell when he made the hall of honor.
