  1. Yeah sad state of affairs. Remember when we complained about how bad Cho was? From one trainwreck to another.
  2. Also Mitch Kupchak stinks. What we are seeing is why the Lakers pushed his ass out the door.
  3. If this needs to happen for anyone it's Gordon Hayward.
  4. That SB he "won" the Broncos barely even showed up. That game was lost from the first snap. If we got that Broncos team in 50 we would have wiped the field with them too. One of the most lopsided championships in history. Seattle had a horseshoe up their ass until that untimely interception against New England.
  5. Just take one of the top TE's so we can send Ian Thomas on his way. Unfortunately those extra picks are going to be late in each round. But it will have to do.
  6. It's wild how within a week sports takes can go from "this guy is a quitter for not blowing out his knee for my entertainment" to "nepotism never hurt anybody". American values
  7. The timing is definitely interesting. This is retaliation. But still after the used car salesman fiasco you would think Tepper would be looking to avoid giving the league any reason to check up on him. He also had to know that same fiasco angered many of the other owners. So good reason not to give them an in. Yet here we are. Just hire a damn coach already before this turns into a shitshow.
  8. Alright pal you've had too much to drink. Hand over the keys
  9. With that logic we could have given Matt Rhule another year too. If someone is content with what we've been doing more power to them I guess. No need to knock someone for looking in another direction though. By all accounts the team seems to agree.
  10. I don't get the Dorsey hype at all. I'd honestly hire Wilks before him.
  11. I know Johnson decided to stay in Detroit but who all has declined? And if we are highlighting this as a reasoning why Wilks should be the guy why would we not also assess why no one else has requested to interview him for their coaching vacancy?
  12. I'd be on board. We don't need to rush but we also don't need to waste too much more time flirting with Sean Payton. If the Saints give even a whiff of nonsense move on and pinpoint your guy.
  13. Awful luck. Obviously just rest him the remainder of the season. The NBA better give us the top pick this season or honestly I might lose most interest in the league altogether.
  14. If they want two first rounders then fug em hire Steichen or Kafka and keep it pushing.
  15. You truly do have the worst takes. If you hate Charlotte so much you are welcome to see yourself out
  16. Most people would root for Hannibal Lecter if it meant winning consistently. The morality and rivalry bluster about Payton would pass in time.
  17. If Tepper swings a Payton/Fangio combo I'll probably be willing to give him a temporary reprieve on criticism for awhile.
  18. Right but Wilks has a heavy defensive background that's his bread and butter. And honestly man the Bengals are still a good team but they've taken a step back overall from last season. Look at how close the Ravens played them with Huntley starting. There's nothing wrong with wanting to roll the dice on Wilks but like any of the other candidates we have to acknowledge the pros and cons and after years of watching John Fox and Ron Rivera in a league that has changed substantially in the last decade there's also nothing wrong with wanting to roll those same dice on a different philosophy altogether.
  19. If we're crapping on Ben Johnson for the loss against us then let's keep it consistent and talk about that Bengals blowout 35 points in a half. And let's also talk about how we let the Bucs keep destroying our secondary without making any attempts at adjustments ie classic Ron Rivera.
  20. I'm just not interested in seeing another defensive head coach rerun. Arguing Rivera got us to a Super Bowl actually has the opposite effect for the argument in favor of Wilks. Remove the threat of a generational talent in Cam Newton bullying defenses for years and Rivera would have been fired in his second or third season. There's no Cam Newton to save Steve Wilks. We need a new philosophy and someone who can and will actually develop a quarterback. All good things and well wishes to Wilks but I simply do not see him as the coach for that.
  21. If it's Steichen or Kafka I can live with it. Just get something done.
