This would be like hiring Tom Coughlin after he was done with the Giants. Even if you get him to somehow agree it's a waste of time. He's a dinosaur now.

Who you telling. Back well before the trade to 1 was made it was more of a pipe dream scenario so it wasn't discussed too much at length. Most thought we would move to top 5. But in any possible scenario of moving to 1 it was overwhelmingly preconceived here we would select Stroud. His tape told the tale. Somehow we ignored that entirely. Just unforgivable incompetence.

Excuse me?

Left the NFL with the gift of Bryce Young and said peace.

Quinn might be one of those guys just better suited to be a coordinator. If we can't get Vrabel and are going defensive head coach I'd rather give Mike Macdonald with the Ravens a shot.
-
Pay him whatever he wants.

What is this in reference to?
-
I was clearly referring to your dig about him being a "true #1" before he's played a snap in the NFL while still arguing Moore isn't a 1 despite multiple seasons of high level play with mediocre QB's and now finishing the season 6th in receiving yards in Chicago of all places. Your ego is ridiculous my friend.

NFC South 2024 Offseason Financials [Spotrac]
frankw replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agree on everything but DB I could not disagree more. He is going to be a much needed part of our defense and will bring heart and leadership to a locker room that has quite a few players that are just here cashing checks. -
Definitely give Vrabel an interview.

You are hopelessly and hilariously dug into your position. Keep going. It's entertaining.

That's true but I would argue Beane is more of an outlier. As far as Morgan removing the emotional attachment revolving around his history as a Panthers player all we have to go on is his involvement here and Buffalo. If we are to go the glass half full approach we would say his time with the Bills says we should take a shot on him because he was involved at some level in some very solid roster building. On the flip side we said the same thing about Fitterer when we snagged him from Seattle. It's a crapshoot.

With Panthers cleaning house how safe is Bryce

We may not agree much. But good to see you are still around. -
Sounds eerily familiar like what we said about Fitterer after Rhule was fired. Clean house.

If you're arguing in favor of Bryce after a regime change those are 3 names you don't want to mention. Darnold was always a bust. Jones has been outplayed by an undrafted FA. Fields would be the only one of the three and even he is called a bust here still by quite a few people. Even though I'm pessimistic I absolutely l hope BY can put in a heavy offseason working on his game and hopefully bulk up some too. If he were to somehow turn this into a redemption story that would be fantastic. But he has a lot to overcome. We shall see. -
You're talking about All-Pro wide receivers. Who wouldn't love to have one of those? But DJ Moore is a #1. It is what it is. You have to accept you were wrong.

Sir Purr. Match the energy of the team.

If your expectations are another WR in the mold of Steve Smith you'll be waiting a long time. Most of these new young guys simply aren't built that way. Social media doesn't help either. I think your ego won't let you acknowledge you misjudged. Ohwell.

I'm talking about before we traded for him. It is almost verbatim the same rhetoric about his time with the Jets. If it doesn't seem the same it's because you don't want to see it.
