  1. Overall I concur. The bad cannot be overlooked though because we are still waiting on his first winning season as GM. The longer the wait the more amplified his failures will be because as some folks have told us over the years here repeatedly. You are what your record says. That's just the nature of the business. Hopefully we can string together a better record this season.
  2. Not at all surprised the Cardinals are a complete dumpster fire of an organization. Up until recently we haven't had much room to judge though. And we're still waiting to see if we've turned the corner. As for Wilks no other team interviewed him for their head coaching vacancy. You could argue it was a coordinated effort to keep him out based on his pending legal efforts toward the league. But even though it's bullshit and I think the owners are mostly scumbags you have to acknowledge the likelihood that him airing this dirty laundry out means he will probably never get another look. Anywho for anyone who is passionate about this discussion I'm sure you can find some folks willing to engage on the 49ers message boards. Since he coaches for them now and all.
  3. Here on the huddle a lot of people would have you believe Scott Fitterer has been pressured into moves that ended up being bad for the team. But the moves that ended up being good are definitely all him. Seeing a repeat of the worship like behavior we saw with Gettleman once upon a time.
  4. We cannot absolve Fitterer of that he was very vocal about Corral being part of our future on draft night. Can't keep blaming Rhule for everything.
  5. We dropped Jordan and had to get someone in line with his abilities
  6. Jordan and Erving cut on the same day. Glad to see it. Let's get serious about protecting our quarterback.
  7. Meh we're not doing much in the foreseeable future I could see him improving just as much as I could see him remaining the same inconsistent player he's been to this point. But I like PJ. I'd rather pay guys like him than have bums like Hayward keeping the bench warm all season for a hundred plus million.
  8. There are legitimate critiques to be made about some of his picks and acquisitions but reactionary posts like this just make it difficult to have honest conversations about some of his missteps.
  9. I liked the potential of Shi Smith initially it's a bummer it didn't work out. But what are ya gonna do.
  10. He's on his 4th team but also only 24 and looks like he's developed and added some weight the last few seasons. I really like his potential. We are trying that's all I can ask.
  11. That was a nice ball. If both Stroud and Young who are good friends have productive rookie seasons that will be a great story for the league
  12. If our worst olineman Jordan is still here by this evening...
  13. It is what it is. We took a shot if he's not it you move on. I still would keep him around for depth unless we get a legit offer but considering Trey Lance went for a 4th we'll be lucky to get a late rounder.
  14. There are a few holdovers muttering under their breath when he does well. It's the same as with Cam ten years ago just not as many mouth breathers this time thankfully.
  15. Maybe but some people want him to fail too so they can say I told you so and that's truly sad.
  16. Bryce Young throws a great ball for a rookie. I'm excited for what he will bring to this offense. I just hope the OL is up to the task for 17 games.
  17. I did not expect Fitterer gambling with the receiver core with a 33 year old and a couple injury prone guys to backfire this quickly but damn. His seat is going to warm up quickly at this rate.
  18. Cam himself chose Bryce Young out of this years QB class. Just saying.
  19. He's a 22 year old starting left tackle. What you hope to see is a solid amount of good with some not so good sprinkled in because he's going to take his lumps. You either believe he will put in the work or you don't it's that simple.
  20. Cowherd is the kiss of death. If he's off the Panthers wagon that's the best news I've heard so far today.
  21. The "if we're down to QB3 who cares the season is over anyway" logic is fine from the perspective of a fan. But if it happens it will be in large part due to the oline which means someone making the decisions is going to be facing some serious heat. And honestly knowing how these things go for the Panthers I wouldn't be surprised if Corral ends up on a contender and looks competent when needed. Then we'll see the heel turn and people saying why did we trade/cut him we're so stupid. It's predictable.
  22. I thought it was known some months back we would listen to offers if there were any. There's really no incentive to move him this season. One could argue a roster spot but if something happens and Bryce Young misses any time is anyone here going to give a fug about an extra roster spot if they're forced to watch Andy Dalton throw the football?
