  1. Robby is a good guy and a good teammate I don't think it's fair to look at it this deep for him but not Sam. The truth is simple. Robby needs to step up and catch throws and Sam needs to be more careful with the football and not throw into double or triple coverage. If these two get on the same page none of this tomfoolery matters. But the quarterback is the leader and he and all the receivers should be close knit this week.
  2. As much as I would like to shuffle our way into an ok lineup with this group I just don't think it's going to happen we should've done more with the opportunity. We had the cap space. Now we are just hobbling toward the midway point of the season hoping we can maybe get to 8 wins if we are lucky and Sam doesn't continue to regress.
  3. Everything with OP is cherry picked. There would be less said about the Erving signing if we had done more for the interior of the line. Paradis had been trending down since last season and Daley and Miller were always backups at best. When you also consider this is all with a quarterback with a history of questionable decisions with the football and trying to shake bust status it is easy to see now how we backed ourselves into this corner by assuming we could get by versus making sure. You can't look at this mess and walk away thinking we did our best. Especially when you consider this is what the Carolina Panthers have been dealing with for the better part of the last decade. It is only more of the same
  4. I know it's preseason but James Borrego should be ashamed of himself. On twitter the Hornets didn't even post the final score
  5. Joe has gotten a lot of flack over the years but credit to him for this. On the very first day of free agency too. Erving was said to have been surprised we offered him so much. That about sums it all up for me.
  6. Sunday was Moton's first full start at the left tackle spot in three years I don't know why anyone would have expected him to look all pro instantly. He is by far our best lineman though. Some people still want him and BC to swap but this musical chairs act with the line can't continue on through the season they need some level of continuity.
  7. Ah Nick Goings. I'll always remember those brows. He's a realtor now. Good for him.
  8. Chudzinski was not a good head coach but he had some very good moments as oc. He just got too cute at times but his creativity was worlds better than others we've had over the years.
  9. Yesterday your huddle bestie had a full on meltdown yet you continue with the same kind of behavior. Keep on thinking it makes you look good. Have a nice day!
  10. Greg Olsen's presence was one of the few bright spots from that game.
  11. I assumed surely he would get some limited action against the Eagles but nope. Now it is one of those I'll believe it when I see it situations.
  12. Undrafted never played before. If Deonte and this guy both see the field soon I will be surprised.
  13. That's cute. We both know you read them if you can find the opportunity to habitually poop on them like your pal hubby.
  14. Shoulda woulda coulda. They were a 1 win team motivated to win while we folded even when they tried to give us the game.
  15. Unacceptable from the interior of the line obviously but one thing I noticed from the loss was Sam didn't seem to be moving around the pocket or utilizing his mobility much like he had in previous games where he was pressured and escaped and either threw it away or tossed a completion. He just stood there and ate sacks or he threw the ball directly at defenders even with time. I'm not talking about every instance bc some of those were instant pressure where he had no chance but there were possible opportunities. He could very well be getting David Carr'd before our eyes.
  16. Snow definitely isn't perfect. But I don't think Phil is the one who decided for us to punt on 4th and 2 and let the Eagles get up the field and score a field goal on us. We had many opportunities given to us by the defense but we either let the qb get beat up with odd playcalls or he threw costly interceptions like he has throughout his career. Snow isn't on the list of concerns rn. The coordinator on the other side of the ball though is a different matter entirely.
  17. Nobody is going anywhere or jumping ship. People are still here talking you just don't like what they have to say. That's too bad.
  18. If you want to dunk go ahead we're just people discussing football. You're trying to make this exclusively about Tom bc I used that as an example but he is not the only quarterback that has had success throwing under pressure. Sam Darnold has never been a great qb or had a good season as a starting qb yet and he just had yet another career worst start against an inferior opponent at home not just bc of the line but bc he made bad decisions with the football even when he had time just as he did in NY. As others have noted there are plenty of opportunities left for him to show us something better but to make it all about the oline when we have seen glimpses of bad Sam through the first 5 games with some costly turnovers negated by our defense and finally culminating in one of the worst home losses I can recall is akin to burying your head in the sand. We need Sam to pull a 180 from whatever that was Sunday but I'm not expecting miracles.
