  1. Just have to call the signing for what it is and that's just not good unfortunately. We are on the hook for a 7 million dollar cap hit with him next year and 4.6 million in dead cap if we move on. We took a gamble but we must be more tactful in the future with injury prone linemen.
  2. Now this is great content we can rally around.
  3. I haven't felt this good about the defense as a whole since McDermott was still here. Credit to Phil Snow for what he's brought with this retooled group in such short time.
  4. There are people still whining about TB not getting a fair shake? The man made 30 mill plus for a season worth of work quit with the waterworks and move on or jump on the Denver bandwagon.
  5. Start Brown. As much talk as there has been about left tackle the interior depth is ehhhhhhh.
  6. Figures. Well he was 24 when we started kicking ass and put everyone in the division on notice in 2013 so I'll go with that lol.
  7. His arm talent is what most intrigued me looking at his Jets tape but it's minimizing those bad moments and coming up big when we need him that tell the tale. If he continues to do that who knows what the ceiling will be. But with this oline he is going to have to be more careful sensing pressure and not trying to do too much. For all the positive talk of the line which has been better than expected Sam has at moments made them look much better similar to how Ted did last year. That strike in the redzone where he moved to his right with the pocket collapsing comes to mind.
  8. We just defeated our arch rival at home for the first time in five years which is cause to celebrate not settle scores with fellow fans. The oline has held up but the sample size is not nearly enough just yet. The biggest possible hindrance I see is run blocking. Thankfully we have a very good defense but we must sustain drives and reward them for their efforts. Knowing our history and how our last two win streaks ended my approach is week to week and staying in that lane. Onto the Texans.
  9. Some of this is too forced and a little too reminiscent of the early Kyle Allen Baby Goat stuff. Just take it a week at a time.
  10. SBBlue's take on the oline is basically the football equivalent of that Everything is Awesome song on the Lego movie that makes you want to cringe into another dimension. You cannot reason with that.
  11. Uh when the defense is getting hands on you in the backfield it's a tough gig. He needs to better capitalize on opportunities but we also need to be more creative in our running plays.
  12. Most of that will wash away with a winning season so hopefully that's on the horizon but it's difficult to blame folks for being hesitant this is a fanbase that has been snakebitten a few times to put it mildly. I'm thrilled we kicked the poo out of the Saints though that's the starting point
  13. I don't see the need to splinter ourselves off into little factions the goal with all of us is and should be the same. But there is always an axe to grind. I'm a little worried about bad Sam showing up against better quarterbacks but he did display intangibles that separate marginal starters from higher end starters. He shook off a few gaffes and went right back at it and his arm talent is impressive. He's going to have to get better under pressure and not take unnecessary sacks when possible though that's a big no no we have to keep under wraps against better teams. The other concern is our reliance on CMC I would definitely like to see us spreading the ball around more in the coming weeks. But I obviously agree with you there is much to like particularly this defense. Hopefully the oline holds up against better defenses that's the biggest question.
  14. It's a little early to be settling scores and taking a bow. Remember we had a little win streak going with Kyle Allen which has yet to be topped. Let's see what October brings.
  15. Run blocking has been near non existent. The pass blocking has been serviceable enough but we have faced a Jets team that just got blown out by the Mac Jones led Patriots and a hobbled Saints team. Over the next month we will see the good bad and ugly of this oline for all it's worth.
  16. The average sports fans are borderline unhinged alcoholics I think you may be giving some people too much credit. All fanbases deal with this stuff. Even #1 had fans nitpicking and muttering under their breath after wins.
  17. I can agree with that but I don't think CMC cares about the numbers he wanted to seal the win and he did so convincingly. But we also have to know when to protect our best asset from himself see Cam Newton.
  18. I agree McCaffrey is a hell of a weapon but other guys are paid to make plays too. And honestly I was disappointed in DJ with that big drop on third down. He was well covered yes but it was in his hands he's got to start bringing those in if he wants to be an elite receiver.
  19. I'll never feel bad about beating up on our arch rival at home I don't care who they're missing. Sam had a few wtf moments but when he needed to bounce back he did so and that's what you need to see from your starter. We do need to figure out how to get our O going without McCaffrey for a spell though that is a very notable issue.
  20. It's the Panthers there's definitely no such thing as an auto win. The oline will make or break us. But our defense is fantastic.
  21. Chuba just needs to build some confidence but if we keep running our best weapon like this he was a wasted pick.
