  1. Joe Person isn't exactly going out on a limb with this speculation. It really doesn't even matter anyways. We're relegated to picking between the equivalent of one of two turds thanks to the decision makers. Just play one of them and let it ride.
  2. On his part it seems like such an obvious win/win optics move. But at this point in time after all the public discussion about it even from some of his own players it's pretty clear he just doesn't care and won't be swayed.
  3. Teddy Bridgewater and Bryce Young owe you some backpay for the amount of keystrokes you've invested in shielding them from criticism. Truly committed.
  4. Dig into his career numbers. In his early days with the Jets his yards per pass attempt was 6.9 With Seattle his YPA is 7.4 He's always been pushing the ball downfield. What changed more than anything with him is he improved his accuracy and decision making.
  5. Miller played the most minutes only 8 points. Had an off night to say the least. Still the rest of the roster is jag city sadly. Going to need a few more years before we're ready to do much of anything.
  6. Who the hell is Franz Wagner? I'm legitimately bitter the Magic are better than us and those fugs were gifted the first pick.
  7. Looks like the boys are waiting until the second half like usual.
  8. I remember a brief blurb about this and he's been playing ever since so it's flown under the radar. But major kudos to this man. Need more like him on our team.
  9. Of course. He's gone from the previous season looking like a top 10 WR to now barely an afterthought. I can't blame him. Still he sure looked to be enjoying himself when he and his boys were blowing us out in Chicago. So I hope they keep playing Caleb and go full tilt shitshow.
  10. Man took a lot of heat and poo emojis and ended up being completely right. Such is the internet eh?
  11. For all the concerns I have with Bryce Young about his abilities as a passer at least he's not a bad teammate or a drama queen. I'll give him credit there. But from the standpoint of a Panthers fan who watched Bears fans all across social media gleefully talk cold hard poo and rub our noses in it just earlier this year all I can say is.... BEAUTIFUL.
  12. CJ Stroud in his second year and rookie Jayden Daniels are both chillin right there in the thick of that list. You might need to see an optometrist my guy.
  13. We had the worst passing offense in the league last year forcing the ball to AT for him to reach 1k yards. You make it sound like Bryce is middle of the pack in passing yards which almost everyone here would be fine with. But in reality he is at the very bottom. I mean the very bottom.
  14. It's right there for anyone to see. The fact that some people are throwing out accusations and insinuating bias because others are rightly pointing out this is not remotely sustainable and we need better is.....interesting to say the least. But that's where we are.
  15. Ok drop it down to 220 yards per game and that is a top 20 QB. And if you think asking for that from your first overall pick is too much an ask then you don't have a QB.
  16. So your rebuttal is comparing Bryce Young to Patrick Mahomes?
  17. That's cool that's your POV. But that's a jag. Not a first overall pick. That means you keep looking. This is a results league.
  18. We absolutely need to reset this QB room I don't know how or why that's up for debate with some people. This narrative that suddenly we can win with Bryce Young when our run game is carrying the load against teams with poor run defenses is just waiting to burst. We will not compete with and beat the best teams in the league with 126 yards passing and 1 touchdown it is simple as that. If anyone wants to entertain a notion otherwise that's their business but reality is reality.
  19. This isn't about one game this is about the entire body of work. His limitations as a passer in a passing league are plainly evident. Bryce Young barely has more passing yards in 23 games than undrafted Kyle Allen did in 13 games. You are no more objective on this matter than anyone else. Just as you were with Teddy Bridgewater. You spent most of camp trying to run off anyone critical of Bryce. Give the holier than thou a rest already.
  20. Sir. I cannot say enough how absolutely comical it is that you can without even a shred of irony scold someone else for being biased in their perspective when your entire persona here is to be an attack dog toward anyone that isn't a complete Panthers homer 24/7. 9/10 posts here you basically sound like a deranged Mickey Rooney. But you keep on keeping on bud!
  21. Lions are a good example but that's more on the rare side. They could have just as easily continued on a Browns level trajectory. It all depends on Canales. First order of business is getting these blowout losses off the menu. When those occur like the Bears and Commanders games that just resets everything as far as I'm concerned. And for anyone that doesn't believe me or thinks I'm exaggerating. Just remember we've been flailing as a franchise ever since that blowout loss to the Steelers in 2016. For now we just need to finish the season respectable like. Offseason needs to begin with a reset in leadership. Identify the QB that is going to lead your culture and build from there. No we are not a QB away from contending for a Super Bowl or something extreme like that but you still need that player to be the spark for your team more often than not. When you look at the consistent contenders that's what you'll always see. None of these Panthers players no matter how nice they are in public are getting warm and fuzzy over 126 yards passing. This league is about production.
  22. I think it's important to be realistic about all this "winning for the culture" talk. Did we change the culture in 2019 with that brief Kyle Allen win streak? Did we change the culture in 2020 winning a few games with Bridgewater? Did we change the culture in 2021 with that 3 game win streak with Sam Darnold? Did we change the culture in 2022 winning meaningless games with Steve Wilks? Last I checked even after all that our culture fully bottomed out last year and the beginning of this year. Let's just maintain perspective that sustained winning is the only thing that is going to change this culture. One or two wins here and there against awful teams are good for a brief high but that's it. No more no less. What will truly start to change the tide is defeating really good teams. Until then. You can talk about culture all you want. We're still just spinning our wheels.
  23. It's his thing to lash out at anyone that displays even the slightest bit of skepticism or refusal to follow the company line on the team. Then when you ask him if he's okay he'll turn around and try to make himself the victim and you the aggressor. It's best to just awkwardly laugh and move along.
