Don’t like it when i think they gotta cover for damn near 4 sec. If we don’t get this DL right. If we went will johnson in first we would need the draft to playout in our favor and have some of them DL prospects fall.

I don't care what motivates him as long as he is motivated. Wanting money doesn't mean he doesn't love the game. I'm not gonna be mad if we select him. DL or WR with the first pick and im happy. -
Definitely helps when you know just about every ball is going to ceedee lol

Kind of sad we can't get both. I think its hard to find a guy that can play 3, 4 and 5 tech, but at the same time its not easy finding a top WR talent, especially for us. Some teams are money drafting WR in round 2... we are not. Should we just say F it and take the top WR looking at us, or do we build this thang in the trenches? Tough decision but hopefully we look back two years from the draft and say they made the right one.

But now you're assuming just because TMAC is higher, he will have a better career than Burden. Fit, coaching, scheme all that matters. Sure you will get a more "NFL Ready" or supposedly more talented player so to say the higher you are in the draft. But to say us losing out and remaining top 5 will be the difference in a future super bowl is wild. I do agree that higher the pick the more likely you will draft a blue chip player but again nothing is guaranteed.

They will get scouted. You don't not scout a guy because you think you're fine in that department. You scout all players. Its why Dave has mentioned scouting Bryce when he was in Tampa even though they had Baker. I mean all things are in play though, are we expecting the Panther to all of sudden know how to build a roster now? Still remains to be seen IMO.

I also said "our respective draft board". You're going by the media/consensus draft board. No telling whether jeanty will be that high on our board. Also, we can always talk BPA this, BPA that, but "need" is gonna find its way into the war room somehow. When a team has as many holes as we do, its gonna pop up. BPA is a luxury for teams that have less holes to fill. It is also dependent on what we do in FA.

Main reason I wouldn't mind taking Mason Graham. He is a 3 tech that can play 4 or 5. Draft Profile Summary: Mason Graham has the potential to be one of the best defensive tackle prospects to come out of college in the last few years. His lack of elite size and length will keep him from being in the same category as Jalen Carter, but the Michigan product's combination of strength and athleticism gives him a high ceiling as a pro. Graham is quick off the ball to put pressure on offensive linemen immediately and has the agility to throw off linemen's angles when slanting. He's very effective when slanting to get penetration in the backfield, and he has the strength and physicality at the point of attack to control blocks when taking them on straight up. Against combo blocks and double teams, the Wolverine's sub-par pad level will occasionally cause him trouble, but he's also shown the ability to absorb contact and hold ground when he keeps his pads down. He's even made a few plays while taking on double teams. As a pass-rusher, Graham is still learning how to use his hands consistently and his lack of top-tier arm length might be a bigger issue at the next level. However, he has the movement skills to develop a good arsenal of pass-rush moves and has already flashed a decent hand-swipe and swim move. Also, he has the strength to collapse the pocket as a bull rusher when he uses good leverage. Schematically, Graham would be best as a 3-technique but he can line up as a 4- to 5-technique if needed. Michigan has been moving him up and down the defensive line so far this season, which has helped increase his position versatility.
