  1. Look, I don’t know if the Sam experiment is going to work out…but Fitterer is a WC guy, a scout for the Seahawks in the western region. He saw Sam, a lot, play for SC, plus Pete Carroll remains close to the program to this day, so he has more of an inside about Sam than anyone in the NFL. On your draft day special, he seemed all in on Sam, and sounded pretty determined to give Sam the best chance to succeed. Impressive from a UCLA guy. Soon enough, you’ll find out if your coaches and GM missed their opportunity with a rookie QB in the draft.
  2. The color of skin that never sees sunlight, that dead inside whiteness, lol. We tease our northern brothers like that…..once they begin to live in the sunshine, they lose that transparent pale. It’s a joke.
  3. And the whiteness…..unlike any whiteness our sun-kissed golden states have ever seen. Rumbling like fat locusts in our stadiums, waving those ridiculous towels…..pray you don’t see them in dull colored shorts with brown socks and sandals. Sammy knows this horror. He’s beat them before at the Rose Bowl, may it happen again. Good luck to the Good Guys.
  4. For heavens sake….this thread was about the magnificence of Chris Stapleton, now it has devolved into this glorification of this twangy, petulant singer with a weird first name. I had to listen to him to hear what the fuss was about…I don’t get it.
  5. There are village idiots all over the internet. Especially football forums, or the pre-teen boy band forums.
  6. Interesting that there have been several players that do better once they leave the Jets….Leonard Williams was labeled a bust in NY, made top 100 NFL players (#84 I think) after being traded to the Giants.
  7. Josh Rosen scored 29…..he’s actually very smart, Stanford smart. Sam was Harvard, Yale, Duke and Northwestern smart. You decide if the Wonderlich indicates true intelligence, and question elite universities acceptance criteria.
  8. Stafford’s best friend is Dodger great, Clayton Kershaw, they are very close. Been reported, he had something to do with the L.A. choice. “Kershaw attended nearby Highland Park High School, where he played baseball and was also the center for future NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford on the varsity football team.”
  9. Oh, I know. I’m white, but a member of a minority that I identify with very proudly. My people taught Anglos how to be cowboys….even taught them all about rodeos and the whole cowboy lingo.
  10. Oh yeah, we have plenty in CA, but there is a reason there are no HBCUs in CA. No need, all schools, colleges, universities were founded on racial and religious equality. Dr. King sent freedom fighters (black and white) to our universities to talk about the reality of racism they were facing during the Civil Right Movement. A lot was kept hidden since, but the last five years, the dark underbelly of racism is out in the open. Again. It’s a cause of great sadness to me, and I know others…there were many courageous people who spoke out against racism, and paid with their lives.
  11. I was already a young adult before a young man like Cam could play CFB in the south…much less QB. I remember well that 1970 game against Alabama with our Black QB, WRs, RBs and defensive players…we were scared sh*tless for their safety. Some things never change.
  12. What do you mean? Last time I checked, QBs play against defenses, not offenses. Who on their defense is pulled out? Sam needs the reps with his first team offense, or the little girls will be screaming how much he’s coddled. Lord spare us all.
  13. https://catcrave.com/2021/08/24/carolina-panthers-5-observations-first-practice-charlotte/4/ no, not much…..but he has weapons he’s gelling with. Sam Darnold-Terrace Marshall Jr. connection grows According to the media in attendance, the developing chemistry between quarterback Sam Darnold and rookie wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is growing at an encouraging rate. The former LSU stud has been a smash hit throughout the preparation period, only adding to the embarrassment of riches at the Carolina Panthers’ disposal in 2021. Darnold has also grown in stature with every passing week. His production made huge strides once the pads came on and there is a conviction to the player’s decisions that was seldom seen during his time with the New York Jets. Not only will Marshall assist right from the outset. But his size, physicality, and ability to get open quickly make him a supreme red-zone threat that the entire league needs to take seriously. Of course, much will depend on just how the protection in front of Darnold gets on. Some serious questions remain about the group outside of right tackle Taylor Moton, so we’ll get a far better look at them in the preseason finale on Friday night.
  14. You have to possess an IQ bigger than your shoe size to recognize intelligence. You lose.
  15. ESPN: “The alliance between the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 will be announced at 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, sources told ESPN. The three leagues are expected to emphasize "common values" and unanimous support impacting key topics affecting college athletes and schools in all sports. Sources say the Pac-12 has been the most aggressive of the three leagues forming and encouraging the alliance. When news first broke of a potential alliance earlier this month, a Pac-12 source told ESPN that the league was a bit further along than the other two in building support and enthusiasm for the pact. Other sources in the league expected an announcement to come sooner. Another source familiar with the discussions on Tuesday told ESPN, "The Pac-12 is driving this."
  16. It’s happening… https://theathletic.com/news/big-ten-pac-12-acc-expected-to-formally-announce-alliance-on-tuesday-sources/kCDEJFjp3qdu
  17. That man has too much baggage, looking the other way when one of his coaching buddies beats his wife? No way.
  18. Three conferences, BIG-10, PAC-12 and ACC are in negotiations to form an alliance….scheduling and strengthening a voting block to weaken the SEC. SEC 16 schools vs the 3 Conferences 46 schools. Everyone gets to keep their conferences in tact, but strengthen their collective voice. This could also lead to an academic alliance, with every member, save Nebraska, in the BIG, 9 of the PAC12 and 4 in the ACC are members of AAC, an invitation only association of research universities. Football millions is chump change vs billions of research dollars brings to a school and conference.
  19. I don’t think this is the final answer, it’s a first step. A very good one.
  20. From the Athletic……here is a sample of the article. What do you think?
  21. What a great young man, warms a mother’s heart.
  22. Pete was right….but Mark, like Carson, invested his money well. The big “jock major” at USC is Communications, which prepares them for a career in media along with all the USC connections. He saved his pretty face, lol.
  23. Haha, that was brutal. I can tell you this, we were at our Spring Game on draft day, the big video screen in the Coliseum showed the Mark pick….stunned silence in the stadium. I guarantee you, no one could believe he was taken that high….Mark completely lacked the clutch factor, he had an offensive line anchored by Tyron Smith and one of the best defensive units in our history, yet he could not carry the team for one quarter for our only loss of the season. We know what we had. I don’t believe I have posted one negative response about any of your players, never championed Sam over any of the QBs currently on your team….and I would be dishonest if I didn’t blame the skeptics, there is history to back them up. I sincerely want the Panthers to win, not just Sam.
  24. I really, really hope you’re not a guy…..you act more like an unhinged, obsessed stalker. Poor PJ, you’re not helping his cause at all. If you are a dude, hand over your man card immediately.
