  2. One thing I'm pumped about from his last presser is it sounds like Jack Plumber is just a placeholder and they're keeping an ear to the ground for the qb room. I'm hoping they just needed some rookie camp arms and they'll be a little more proactive and realistic about someone that can actually play if injuries come up
  3. I think XL is going to be getting tons of special teams reps to balance out his WR reps at least year one. I think he's already at gunner and he'll probably be getting kick returns with that new UFL style rule which will be a big deal with starting field position
  4. I mean this one looks basically like every BY game vs an NFL defense. And don't say he didn't have anyone because Williams got hurt, Bryce threw the ball behind him which is the reason why JW got hurt contorting his body/legs like that to make the catch. It was like a friendly fire hospital ball. He had a clean by NFL standards pocket on that throw as well, no one in his face
  5. Yup. Didn't catch the LSU game but the Texas game had all of the same inaccurate lobs chucked up over the pressure, exact same tendencies. He just got away with less picks playing against 20 year old practice squad level db's
  6. Yeah I didn’t intend to suggest they made adjustments, I just said Rivera and Wilkes were good at barking at dudes for sucking. Vs the Rhule high pitched yapping and the Reich dead eyes and mutter
  7. They probably wouldn’t even want PJ Walker in camp with his stronger arm
  8. If we went Defense next for Head Coach I’d trust Evero to have a competent OC and that Evero would at the least be solid with clock management and time outs. I can see Canales’ head spinning and screwing some of that up year 1
  9. Yeah Evero is the only proven one that’s technically worked out. Short term answer at the DC position though assuming he gets a HC job soon
  10. Canales took it himself probably because he couldn’t turn down the money. So far having an owner with limitless cash hasn’t benefited the team in any way
  11. Yeah he didn't actually make great adjustments coaching wise, I'm just saying those dudes got everyones attention at halftime. Can't get much worse at that than Rhule or Reich though
  12. Not sure if he has the ability to light the fire under anyones ass at halftime like a Rivera/Wilks style dude. Although he does kind of creep me out so I could see him having a super dark side for better or worse
  13. I mean if it wasn't for hiring a buffoon for HC and the general impatience, grabbing Teddy and drafting a rookie to sit for a year or two could have been a fine strategy. Wasn't a great class in 2020 but we skipped on Jalen Hurts for YGM in the 2nd
  14. So what wasn't good enough in 2020-2022 would be great now? The bar is so low
  15. Damn why'd he have to throw in a clip of CJ's significantly better velocity? lol. Almost none of BY's throws are on a rope, most are dive bombing as they get to the WR hence the lack of Yac on a lot of them. Even if it's only a couple yards if he could hit these guy so they aren't going to their knees just to get the catch it would make a big difference
  16. In addition to BY fixing his footwork and all that, This offense will need a lot more under center calls to be convincing and BY still didn’t look very comfortable with that even late into last year. Sanders sucked but who really know who was handing off the wrong direction, the lobs to interceptions after faking the hand offs, just wasn’t good
  17. And about 1000 yards of fug it, scramble yolo balls. I don’t see BY slinging it like that when the plays break down
  18. If you wanna read through some bucs fans post season thoughts there were actually some helpful bucs fans on this topic. Basically Canales is consistent with being super positive and charismatic but wasn’t thought too highly of with being stubborn w his play style
  19. I wonder how long they keep this Jack Plumber guy around. I guess they needed an arm for rookie camp but it’s an extremely underwhelming option even for a qb3
  20. Yeah, in those highlights in that situation sure he was getting a decent ball 35+ yards in the air with his feet set decently. Conversely if you watch a game like Texas 2022 when he was getting consistent pressure all the bad footwork and inaccurate throws come out. That game was the major red flag for me and so far that's what we've seen week in and week out
  21. Some of his footwork issues are definitely tied to his height/size however you want to say it. Mainly the hesitancy to step into the pocket when there's pressure, the bunny hopping which inevitably gets his feet parallel. The latter also affects his timing, when he does see an open guy he's not ready to throw so he either uses all arm or wastes time resetting his feet and the ball gets out late.
  22. Care to elaborate? 20 minutes of BY film is a lot to digest
  23. We'll see, they're still coming in around 15 in the power rankings on most sites, we're obviously in the 30's. If we swapped QB's yes I'd give us the win lol.
