  1. My main issue is if Cam or Justin Fields said some poo similar to that the media would have killed them pre draft.
  2. Yeah that's way too high for a Donte Jackson backup/clone. I'm fine with grabbing one on day 3 but there will be better players at 39.
  3. Probably Andrew Luck going 11-5. Kyler went 8-8. The Rams traded up to #1 for Goff and went 4-12, but the next year they fired the HC, got Mcvay and went like 11-5
  4. Nice little behind the scenes vid of CJ interacting with his peers. Even coaching up some young Qb's at his old high school. He definitely carries himself like a "leader", very nonchalant and natural. I'll take that over the phony Russell Wilson type
  5. Yeah that flew under the radar for such an entitled comment to make. There were literally hundreds of QB's busting their ass around the country the same year hoping for that draft pick and he acted like he could take it or leave it. Zach Wilson was another who didn't get prodded at over his leadership/character at all and it seems like everyone on the team and staff in NY can't stand the guy.
  6. Yeah this guy wouldn't beat out Tremble or Ricci
  7. Yeah that was a rough one to watch. NFL teams are going to replicate that with half a second less time to throw before getting hit.
  8. I would say judging by their pro days and combine interviews, CJ is definitely more the alpha of the two. His competitiveness is starting to come to light more. He was ready to drop the interviews and play horse with McCown at his pro day lol.
  9. Yeah I've never seen a play action roll out under center but I haven't watched every snap. Also doubt he'll be doing QB sneaks on 3rd and short.
  10. Some interesting in depth comments from opposing coaches in this new mock draft as well 1.CJ 2.Bryce We heard when Bill O’Brien got there, Bryce ended up teaching him the early stages of their offense. My only concern is that he’s little. At some point one of these gigantic interior guys is gonna land on him and you’ll be scared that he’s not gonna get up. His size scares me because against us, he really didn’t escape. We ran him down three or four times. We’ve got some good athletes, but those are the athletes that you’re trying to run away from at that level.” “If he’s got time, he’s gonna kill you. His arm is good in person but Hendon Hooker has a stronger arm. He’s at his best extending plays in the pocket, and he throws dimes. He also has a very good feel on touch and when to rifle it in there. We changed significantly (scheme-wise) before we played him. We ran Fire Zone and Cover 0 and really heated him up, and I didn’t think he saw it that well when there’re athletic 6-5 dudes running down your throat. I’m not sold on him. I’d take C.J. before him.”
  11. Maybe not playbook but it changes how the O-line is built, and probably how routes are ran and everything They built their offensive line to match their scheme and, most importantly, to help Drew Brees. He’s a smaller quarterback who needs to see his passing lanes, so the Saints have always built their line with massive guards, going back to Jahri Evans, Ben Grubbs and Carl Nicks. They pair those big bodies who can keep the pocket firm with big athletic tackles who can manage the width of the pocket. The Saints have used the draft, free agency, and trades to build this unit.
  12. If it was Young why not sign a short backup Qb and get a HC and QB coach that were also short NFL QB's? Bryce requires a completely different playbook than any of those guys are used to
  13. I would give the staff the benefit of the doubt for those 3. If they take Levis I will doubt the decision
  14. Yeah, I wonder if Young can do that against NFL Defenses, and also think he'll basically cut out all under center play action plays and QB sneaks in the playbook. With Stroud I think you can adjust to any game plan a lot easier. I'm just hesitant of getting a small QB that almost has to play out of shotgun. AR I'm going to leave that up to coaches because who knows what he's showing in interviews and critical film study.
  15. Yeah I think the idea for most of these draft sites is it's a Goff floor and Burrow Ceiling
  16. I really hope we don't get Monster Energy drink claws. Looks like some poo jello shot girls wear walking around some shitty club
  17. Hey he ranked #8 on the end of year rankings lol.
  18. New profile pic? Bryce had a gut from putting on those extra 10-15 pounds so he didn't want to take his hoodie off on camera. He also didn't weigh in at his pro day so...185-190 playing weight?
  19. As long as it's not Levis I'll trust this coaching staff. I'm leaning towards Stroud as your solid Burrow/Goff with better wheels guy, or AR as the gamble pick. Bryce I get the ability to read college defenses to make his game work but the lack of under center play action/QB sneak ability/always dropping back 8 yards from the line in shotgun thing is getting redundant watching some tape.
  20. With Bryce you really have to commit to the Brees/Saints era philosophy of stacking the O-line/Receivers, and even then I don't think Bryce has a prime Brees arm. He's also at least 2" shorter and 10 pounds lighter. I"m not going to watch all his game film but did Bryce even take a snap under center at Bama? I don't know if he can even run play action under center in the NFL because he usually likes a shotgun snap and then another 3 yard drop just to get his throwing lanes open/room to get the ball over D-line hands
  21. Interesting numbers When his feet are set and he’s on platform, he ranks in the top 15 percent of my 10-season sample -- and he can get his feet set under duress. However, he had one of the longest times to throw while not under pressure last season (3.02 seconds, per PFF, ranking T-153rd). When you look into why, you’ll see he dropped back farther on average than the rest of the top passers in this class. Looking at QB comps from past drafts, passers who consistently had deep dropbacks have not fared well at the pro level unless their O-line -- specifically the tackles -- are able to hold off pressure well and recover when a rusher has a great second (or third) effort.
