  1. Orlovsky also said Jordan Love was a better prospect than Justin Herbert. I get that he's saying Pickett isn't anything special, but unless Sam takes a major leap, it's obvious not every guy with physical talent can be mentally coached up
  2. Some new Fitt stuff from the Observer: JMA: How were you all able to find or identify a guy like Russell Wilson, and did you realize beforehand, like, ‘Oh, he can be a franchise guy?’ SF: This is kind of an interesting story. John Schneider was the GM at the time, went and evaluated Russell on campus early in the fall. He came back and said, ‘Fitt, I found our quarterback.’ I’m like ‘Who? I thought you went to Wisconsin?’ He said, ‘I did. Russell Wilson. I’m going to take that guy in the first round. This is our guy.’ And he knew right away because he saw him on the field, the command we talked about a little bit earlier. He said, ‘He has that.’ And he learned the playbook in like three weeks, became the captain right away, he has something special to him. I’m like John, ‘He’s like 5-10 1/2.’ Every quarterback at that time was like 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. He goes, ‘Yeah, but if you really look at it, the balls aren’t getting batted down, he’s moving in the pocket, he’s doing a lot of different things.’ So as we went through the process, we really kind of were drawn to him. There were a lot of quarterbacks that year, but he was like the one guy that had that ‘it’ factor to him. So we interviewed him at the senior bowl, and then the combine we kind of stayed away from him. We knew we were going to go down that road. And we just kind of played it really quiet with him and we took him. And I think we knew the first minicamp was like a week or two after the draft, he came in, they mic’d him up and once he stepped in the huddle, he wasn’t a rookie. He owned that position. We had gone through three, four or five quarterbacks. We had all these guys coming through and we kept swinging till we found one. It’s kind of the same situation we’re going through right now. We’re going to keep swinging on quarterbacks, taking shots until we find that guy that can lead our team. 3. I'm completely confused every time he enters the game. Why does he get minutes over Thor?
  4. I mean Brady doesn't really need a coach and Bowles is still probably running the defense as HC so it's not like they'll be any different on the field.
  5. He's moving to the front office, was going to do it eventually and wanted to leave Todd Bowles in a position to succeed as the new HC. Got their poo together better than us for sure
  6. This coming from a guy who obviously doesn't know how to make halftime adjustments...Doesn't know why it wasn't working, needs to go back and watch the tape before giving an answer lol.
  7. He was OC for the Giants and still worked with Manning, he has a different style than Joe Brady who just sat in the box like he was playing a video game.
  8. I mean McAdoo sucked as a head coach but he has tons of experience, Manning still speaks highly of him helping fix his timing and footwork
  9. Agree but if they think he's the next Josh Allen or whatever I'd have to take him on a rookie deal, fire Rhule and get a coach that wants to coach him next year. I think we did enough on the O-line in free agency to be comfortable taking a shot. I'm hoping Fitt is thinking long term/post-Rhule. If it's Neal/Ikey/Willis or trade out I'm cool with that.
  10. Yup, also what's the difference in aggressively swapping out QB's because they aren't it, or doing the same with coaches when they aren't it? If Rhule get's another chance his guy Sam should be who he gets a chance with. Don't understand the people that want to be patient with a coach who's dug himself in a hole because he's impatient with his players
  11. “The harder you get coached, the more we have to then coach.” -Matt Rhule
  12. Fitt's our only level headed guy on the office. I know it's coach to GM, but Rhule looked like a joke compared to Blank's basic intellect. Rhule, besides looking horrible first mentioned not making a mistake by reaching for a guy after he just sent 3 picks to reach for Darnold on a gamble. He's a joke
  13. He looks and sounds horrible in this one clip of his interview today
  14. Who wouldn't wanna trade out of the first couple spots in this draft? Unless you really need an LT It's pretty even talent wise til the mid 2nd round. Not sold on these DE's being game changers at the Bosa/Watt/Garrett level
  15. Between this and his Rashawn Slater comments post season he's shown zero mental growth. If we have a decent season it's because Tepper has ripped every bit of control possible away from him. Now just take away his press conferences and let him be a glorified water boy for the year if you're too stubborn to fire him
  16. Yup you can grab an Eli Mitchell or Khalil Herbert, I think Brian Robinson will be one of those guys this year, 4th or 5th round. We got D'onta Foreman for nothing and he'll be solid. CMC needs to go that Deebo route to maximize his value/availability and longevity.
  17. Followed up by installing turf so BOA could hold more event$
  18. If we had traded a 2nd, 4th, and 6th for just one year of Darnold that would have sounded just as horrendous, lose/lose situation from the start
  19. On a bender confirmed. Or sugar rush from stress eating oreo's
  20. A couple bad shots and once again rebounding did us in. Is Gordon ever going to play again? Feels like Deja Vu from last season probably losing in the play ins
