Evero will land on his feet. Regardless of circumstances, you got to clean house after historical suckage like this -

I can't watch another season of Evero. It's not all on him, but we need to erase all vestiges of Frank Reich No one can defend how bad this defense has been. And Evero can't escape culpability -

As long as that's the prognosis of the whole team and not just cherry picked against Bryce i agree. He wasn't perfect, but he has played his ass off with Theilen as his WR1 and no run game and the defense playing like the worst unit of all time -

That is the real story of this game and this season to be honest, regardless of whatever nonsense floats around here. Nothing will improve until that is fixed, and Evero needs to go -

If you want to be an effing #1 WR in this league you got to help your QB on plays like this. The fact that is debated in here astounds me -

That wasn't back shoulder it was a jump ball... Do you really need a link to videos of Smitty making a living on jump balls... -

Smitty would have never made it as an NFL WR had he not made those catches when the play broke down... This place is embarrassing when it comes to things like this... -

I thought you had been around a while... you never saw Delhomme & Smitty... bc that was a staple... Seriously?? -

Pocket was collapsing and he had to get rid of it... He gave XL a chance. You must have never watched Delhomme and Smitty if you honestly think this is solely or even mostly on the QB XL has been a massive disappointment the 2nd half of this year -
Oh for sure... bitching and dumb takes on a message board makes you a superior fan... how could I not see that?? Thank you for this Christmas miracle for showing me the error of my way. I'll be sure to email Tepper and tell him I've discovered the secret to fandom... Any other financial secrets you care to share with us dumb PSL owners since you are evidently the Oracle of wisdom now? Get it in now bc I'm only wasting one more response on this stupidity...

100%. But there are a lot of goofs in here that have so invested their entire supposed fandom on Bryce being trash that you can't even have a discourse with them. I'm glad there are still normies in this fanbase

I would say something about a pot & kettle but 1) you probably wouldn't get it and 2) I'm not wasting energy on a goof like you today

"I didn't watch the game but am 100% confident in my takes..." Repeat that a few times slowly to yourself... I know it makes me sound old to say this, but dammit this place was once not like this... It's our society in a nutshell in 2024... a person will admit to not even seeing something but won't let that even remotely slow them down from spewing nonsensical takes... it's amazing really... It does, however, make me feel better about my job security as I age... If AI doesn't take all our jobs at least I know I'm not losing it to one of these goofs who wouldn't know context or critical thinking if it smacked them in the face...

I have never seen so many people who know absolutely nothing about football and high level QB play speak with such assured confidence while spewing absolute nonsense. I'm thankful as a PSL owner most fans who actually care enough to show up to BOA aren't that stupid (probably couldn't afford tickets otherwise) along with actual football people. I try to think the best of people, but some of these threads have the intellectual discourse level of baboons flinging feces... Bryce is playing franchise QB level ball, and has been for weeks against playoff teams. Most of these haters are incels who will never admit being wrong about anything. If I never got laid I might harbor irrational hatred towards others also. But Jesus Christ what a miserable effing way to live... and we as a society have legitimized these people and encouraged them to be the loudest and dumbest versions of themselves... I'm thankful some of the people on this board still have triple digit IQs this holiday season

Bryce has played well enough for us to have won 4 of the last 5 games, mostly against playoff teams. He's is trending towards being a viable long-term starter you can build around. This was what this season was supposed to be about, even if it didn't transpire in a straightforward fashion. This message board sometimes tends towards an echo chamber. Very, very few Panthers fans outside this place are emotionally invested in Bryce failing. The vast majority of non-basement dwelling members of Panthers Nation are happy with the way this franchise is trending and actually root for this franchise (and its players) to succeed. There are still plenty of irrational Bryce haters that will never be happy with anything, but for fans with objectivity (and for the coaches and exes that actually know football), Bryce is starting to look like the phenom he was at Alabama. Should he be immune from competition next year? No Should he go into next season as QB1? Absolutely A lot of delusional pessimists on this board are going to be dragging their knuckles in consternation when Bryce and Andy are our QBs again next year. And most of Panthers Nation outside of perennially upset incels on here will look forward to 2025. Merry Christmas Everyone! Here's to next season and competing for the division!

Excited to watch him play these last 2 games. Had an incredible game today. I follow the team closely and had no idea who he was at first, but he was everywhere on the field! Could be a nice find and potential depth piece at LB (which we desperately need) going into next season.

This. The 2024 Panthers defense is a collection of meh talent for the most part and a bad scheme. The results speak for themselves, and it's beyond putrid. Resign Horn obviously, but the rest can be stripped to the studs and started over. I was at the game this past Sunday as they introduced the defense thinking God I hope the majority of these guys are gone (or at least not starting) next year. Evero needs to go, too. Not allowing Horn to shadow Lamb when he was constantly avoiding Horn and cooking everyone else should be a fireable offense.

9 draft picks, cap to spend, great rookies draft class, and developing 2nd year QB. Exponentially better looking situation vs last year or even earlier this season. Thankful we seem to be trending in the right direction

I hope to God to never see him or Miles Sanders take another rep in a Panthers uniform!

https://x.com/avl_mike/status/1863950938467189041 Incredible job by Brandt Tilis. Maybe Tepper has finally hired the right group and will stay out of the way. For reference, Dead Money for the past few seasons: 2021: $53.9M 2022: $52.4M 2023: $62.1M 2024: $69.3M 2025: $1.9M All that waste and ineptitude for 17 wins over the past 63 games... Fitterer deserves to be extradited back to CLT to stand trial for war crimes against this franchise. The one caveat is we'll never know how much meddling Tepper actually did, but the results speak for themselves... one of the worst GM tenures in NFL history. Look at this nonsense from this season alone in dead money: Von Bell: $9.9M Hayden Hurst: $9.8M Donte Jackson: $9.7M Diontae Johnson: $9.4M Bradley Bozeman: $7.2M Justin Houston: $3.8M DJ Chark: $3.1M Just such organizational dysfunction, from top to bottom. These weren't even good players. That 2025 dead money number will go up some with the probable release of Miles Sanders, Ian Thomas, etc., but nothing even remotely close to the sheer recklessness and stupidity of the Fitterer Era. Hopefully, we will look back in a few years and see this as the moment where we started to reemerge from the abyss... One can hope... Keep Pounding!!

I don't care what anyone has to say, Theilen balled yesterday. Catch what should have been an incredible TD if the refs did their job, and his actual TD catch should have sealed the game with an even remotely competent defense

Seltzer replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I honestly don't think Tepper forced that, but I think he was infatuated with the idea bc of his background as Steelers minority owner. Tepper never should have been in the equation period in terms of football operations. I also don't want to get too hung up on 3-4 vs 4-3 bc i know there are so many variations etc that the difference between the two can be overblown, but whatever we are running, we haven't been able to stop pretty much every team gashing us at will. That needs to stop regardless -
The sad truth is I believe there are some people on this board who would be cool with that just to have one more thing to bitch about

I was at the home opener against the Chargers... it wasn't the same person. Bryce looked dejected and about 5'5" at the end of the Chargers game. He genuinely looked broken mentally & physically I thought we may had seen the last snap BY9 would take in Carolina. It was that bad. Give Canales credit- whether intentional or not, this may come across as one of the best temporary benching in NFL history. Bryce looks completely different, physically and mentally. BY9 is starting to look like Bama Bryce, the small guy everyone doubts until he dots them up. I felt that was about Drew Brees for 15 damn years... I hope the rest of the NFC South grows to feel that way about Bryce
