Sanders and XL took 14 points off the board and what, at least 100 yards?
Im still high on Sanders. XL I’m 50/50 on. Coker will be a legit #2, quickly.
I want XL to be mad at himself after today. You can tell Chuba was. I sincerely hope Thielen and Chuba work with this dude.
Brooks to me is a write off. Sorry. If he ends up being anything, cool beans, but that is a colossal whiff.
Drafting a RB not in the 5th or 6th, but the 2nd round coming off an acl tear who was good in college, but no Ashton Jeanty caliber is extremely irresponsible, wreckless and low IQ. Dan Morgan can fug off.

As much as I want XL to be the X, he'd be a humongous Y in this offense.
Get a true X to triple with XL + Coker and that run game with JT as TE1 starts to look even more intimidating......
Doesn’t have the quickness, hands, or route running to be a Y

He’s a rookie. If he drops that in year 3 I’d fire him into the sun.
Sick and tired of all of these excuses. Dude was a 1st round pick. He’s an NFL player. Catch the damn ball

Funchess 2.0. Can we please stop being enamoured by physical traits and draft someone that can catch please??
I never remember Funchess dropping this many passes. Don’t disrespect Funchess like that.
XL is a liability. Horrible pick. You could see everything that’s happening with him with his college tape. This pick makes me wonder if Morgan knows what he’s doing. Plus our 2nd round pick just hurt his knee again who we drafted coming of a torn ACL

That's a matter of opinion and that won't be determined for a couple years from now. If the guy turned out to be amazing in the next couple years would it be a bad pick then? Not saying he will but whether or not it was a bad pick is still up in the air. Initially it looks like it could be with other needs but if the guy turned out to be a world beater then I guess it wouldn't be. Easy to second guess what others do but if we were so damn great, we would be getting paid to make decisions like this for an NFL team already and not discussing it on a message board where everyone thinks they are an expert.
But is it a conflict of interests when you invest in a 2nd round RB but sign your starting RB to an expensive extension? That’s a luxury pick that shouldn’t have been made imo.

And all those things work well when you have a better QB. The reason you drafted Legette is because Bryce was giving a lot more 50/50 balls and Legette was better at winning those balls and YAC potential.
Just different guys.
Not sure with this obsession on the huddle that the grass is always greener. Strange take considering Legette isn't the reason why we lost. What 50/50 ball has Leggete won? I remember Leggete getting the ball taken from him in a 50/50 ball. He also dropped another ball that was dropped right in the bucket. Wasn’t even a 50/50 ball. More like a 90/10. He might not be the reason why we lost but he is never the reason why we win. Hopefully he improves, but Ladd is light years better than him atm.

Ladd McConkey is on a better team with a better coach.
he’s supposed to look better.
He also runs better routes and catches the ball better. Literally does everything better.

Yes how dare Brooks not break the single game all time rushing record in his first game in the NFL and back from a serious knee injury. Dammit, cut him!
I understand it was one game, doesn’t change the fact it was a bad pick.

Drafting a DT in the top 5 when we already have Derick Brown is not smart imo. We need WR, DE, CB. T-MAC, Abdul Carter or Will Johnson

No one is allowed to criticize XL unless you want serious clap back. He’s just one of those players that is immune to criticism on this board. But sorry that I don’t expect week in and week out drops, body catching, jumping for every ball when you don’t have to, horrible spatial awareness from a 1st round WR. He has so much to work on that it’s insane these issues didn’t drop him to atleast the 3rd round during the evaluation process. To make matters worse, the best RB today was a 4th round RB we could’ve waited later for and gotten someone like Cooper DeJean who filled a need in the 2nd who a lot of posters were pounding the table for including me.
-
We could’ve drafted Bucky Irving in the 4th and got Cooper DeJean in the 2nd. Would’ve been a dream. Brooks was unnecessary for where he was drafted
-
Ironic post given we should’ve traded him for 2 first round picks. The joke is still on us. One upping the Giants is nothing to be proud of. They’re a mess
-
This is not even a debate. Extend him as soon as possible. Having a good Oline is the best thing a team can have minus a franchise QB

Sorry, but it’s been reported by Person that Dan was in agreement of passing on the trade. Souleman was the only dissenting voice, likely because no soon to be $30M non-QB ever gets that much. Even the awful GM Bill O’Brien paid less for Tunsil than what we turned down for Burns because the Texans got two picks back.
And Samir Suleiman is no longer with the team.. Sound like he must’ve been forced out for being right. How am I not surprised?

Matt Millen used to do that poo, spend all his first round picks on WRs. He is not in the GM HOF, let's put it that way.
If Bryce is the guy he doesn't need the first WR off the board. Get him a 3rd round stud.
At best Leggete is a #2 who was barely a 1st round pick. We should’ve drafted Lad, but it is what it is. We can’t go into next season with the same WR core especially if T-Mac falls to us. There’s no impact edge rusher that’s worth a top 5 pick. Might as well get a generational WR and sign some solid free agents on defense.

BPA as long as it's an edge or LB. Also, I don't think we picking top 5
What elite edge rusher is worth a top 8 pick? I don’t see any. Give me T-MAC or the Will Johnson

I’d be embarrassed to be a Chiefs fan just because they win.

Agreed. He has suction cups as hands.

I’m assuming his drop % of catchable balls thrown to him has to be top of the NFL.

Talk about purgatory.
You’re missing my point. I’d rather build up the other positions and continue to play our bust QB then sign Fields to win us 7 games

Fields is the play and it’s been the play since we drafted Horn over him. Sign him.
Having Fields would just put us in QB purgatory. Not good enough to win in the playoffs, not bad enough to draft high enough to get a QB. Fields is literally the worst possible scenario. Give me another season of Young over Fields
-
You know what changes the culture of a team? A franchise QB. Ask Washington. Winning meaningless games that won’t even be remembered won’t make a difference to the “culture”

XL concerns me. The way he catches is never smooth.
XL can’t catch.
