Is slater that good or is he ranked that high simply because of his game against Young?

Would the Panthers sign Lamar Jackson if the Ravens dump him?

To be fair as crazy as this sounds just remember Carolina cut cam Newton 4 years after winning the MVP and taking Carolina to the Super Bowl. So I guess it’s possible especially considering that Lamar can’t even throw as good as cam. -
LTs & arm length (basically: This draft's OTs are great but...)

The problem with Teams trading for Jackson is that you have to have your offense specifically set up for him. -

Jesus Christ this guy is young. They say the human brain doesn’t develop fully until you’re 25 so there’s a lot of hope for him improving here. -

Fun fact: teams will put out misinformation to the media during the draft as part of their draft strategies. -
Yeah I keep hearing people say that Mond is supposed to be Dak Prescott 2.0 but I disagree. Dak was a lot better a player in college, look at his numbers they were almost twice as good as Monds in every category:
-
Looks like he’s lost some weight.

Pitts. I am also worried about DJ Moore and Roby Anderson’s expiring contracts. Maybe we draft a WR which would save us money and make sure we have good WRs in case roby or DJ leave.

I would rather just trade back and get an extra 2nd/3rd rounder. You could end up getting 2 starting offensive linemen for the price of one. Deep draft with offensive linemen. Draft a tackle first round and then use the extra pick to get a center or guard in the 2nd or 3rd. Heck I would be happy if we drafted 3-4 offensive linemen.
-
I mean they say this draft is loaded with offensive linemen so you could probably end up getting plenty of good offensive linemen later in the draft. If the draft is as deep in offensive linemen as they claim then why not draft a couple of them in later rounds?
-
He is younger than: Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, tua tagovailoa, Drew Lock and Josh Allen. He has 3 years of experience with different coaching staffs. dude has potential and would probably end up being better than any rookie QB this year. Now we get to keep our 1st round pick to get a tackle, CB or offensive weapon. We also don’t have to give up any future first. worst case scenario is the Jets ruined him into being another Derrick Carr.

we were the only ones who wanted sam darnold lol

Let’s be honest, a lot of those teams who might have been interested in Darnold were waiting until after the draft. -
Difference is despite what people think Ryan Tannehill put up pretty good numbers and improved almost every year despite having a crappy team around him for most of that time and still learning the QB posting because he was a WR in college.
-
Jesus Christ a second? I mean atleast make it a conditional 2nd rounder

Has any information been released of what he did? I thought he just said inappropriate things to women, not physically assault them, or am I wrong? -
Honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with signing Alex smith or trading for Minshew or Darnold although I would rather have Minshew than Darnold. Minshew has had a QBs rating over 90 in his first two years despite being on the jags. Although I don’t think the Jags offensive is horrible it’s average at best. At worst we end up getting an average QB in my opinion. If he fails then we can always draft a qb later. Why not save our draft picks and build a great team to where we can win without a great Qb?
-
I think the problem I have with fields is how so many QBs from Ohio state haven’t done poo in the NFL despite looking great in college. We atleast have seen good QBs from Clemson and Alabama
-
I think the question is “is the front office even interested in him?” I think he has potential. He had a great year in college before going pro. He could be one of those guys who is good but just gets over looked. I would rather have him then give up lots of draft picks for an unproven QB. If Minshew fails we still will have plenty of draft picks to build upon. I think at worst Minshew is an average QB. He has lots of potential to be a top 10 QB. I mean in his first two years he’s had QB ratings over 90 and doesn’t seem to turn the ball over a lot.
-
Why not just sign Alex smith and keep the draft picks? maybe we can get a good QB in the next few years? I think Alex smith could last a good 3-5 years in today’s NFL. We can win with him if he can stay healthy. You can find franchise QBs in the mid-late first round pretty often.
-
I don’t think Darnold has played well enough to think he could be your franchise QB however there are plenty of QBs who weren’t that good for their first 3-5 years and then became good QBs. Drew Brees wasn’t good his first few years. Most recently Ryan Tannehill. Alex Smith took years to develop. Hell honestly I would rather have Alex smith than Teddy. so maybe Darnald can end up being a good QB with a different team. Maybe not. His YPA seems to be pretty low and that kinda bothers me though.
-
Cheap deal. Great #3 WR with speed, experience and can return punts. I’m happy.
-
If you have a good pash rush then you can get by with an average secondary. I mean look at what we did in the 2013 Season. He also has experience too. Maybe he can move to safety if need be?

What people don’t realize is that the best players can end up being complete trash with an injury or in the wrong system. Meanwhile you Find players that have sucked for years all of a sudden hit their stride and become good, because they found the right system or just was a late bloomer.
