  1. To be fair from my understanding he was the best LS and one of the best in a long time. LS isn’t a flashy pick but it is important and if you can get the best then why not do it? I’ve seen games won and lost by the LS plenty of times. Our LS is pretty old and I believe is paid as one of the top LS in the league. So basically you are drafting a player for a starting position for a decade then it’s worth a 6-7 round pick.
  2. I have to wonder if Jones will help Brown get more sacks? I mean he really didn’t have a good DT beside him to take up blockers. Now he does which should free up Brown who if I remember correctly got a lot of QB pressures last year. I saw that Burris was the top or one of the top ranked safeties in the slot. I think he’s a solid player. I think Franklin can be a good player too. Perryman is a big upgrade he just has to stay healthy. I think Carter is a solid player and should be able to come in if Perryman gets injured. on paper CB looks greatly improved. We don’t know how good Horn will be in the NFL. Honestly I’m worried he might not be the dominate player we drafted him to be. I mean look at his tape, I don’t know if he can get away with that in the NFL. He will need to adapt. I think we will find out very quickly if he can adapt or not. Nixon could be a great player for us but I think he might not do much his rookie year. Honestly I don’t expect him o do anything until year 2 or 3 but I do see a lot of potential in him. overall I think our defense greatly improved.
  3. How you know? For all we know he could be a good QB. How many times have we seen a 3rd string back up or undrafted qb end up doing well? There are lots of good QBs out there who just haven’t been given the chance. Yes Grier sucked in his little bit of playing time but there have been plenty of great QBs who were horrible their rookie year. I’m not saying Grier is going to be good but it’s possible. There’s a lot you just can’t know until you put someone on the field to play.
  4. Maybe but he had 5 of those sacks in one game. He also didn’t record a single sack in 9 games. Maybe he’s a one hit wonder? I mean there is something up when a guy in his prime gets 12.5 sacks and can only get a one year 6 million dollar deal. I hope he is going to get better and repeat similar numbers but his size scares me and I don’t know how we are going to use him.
  5. Yes Brown is a beast but let’s be honest, you don’t draft a DT with the 7th pick to be a nose tackle, you get him to get to the QB. hopefully he will get more sacks this year. He got a lot of QBs pressures and with the signing of Daquan Jones maybe he will be freed up to get more sacks.
  6. I don’t know if we move Moton to LT. Although this has always been my solution as well I think something is up because our staff won’t move him to LT. Could it be that we want to give him a RT contract first? I didn’t think he was that worse at LT but maybe I’m wrong. I’m actually okay with our safety and line backer Corp. our staff has basically said SS and FS are interchangeable on this defense and if you have a good pass rush it can offset a bad secondary. I think Burris is average to above average. I think I saw that he was rated top safety in the slot last year. im not worried about LB either because like you said we only played 4-3 in 10% of snaps last year. Our staff has made sure to get players who can play multiple positions. Reddick can play ROLB and DE. We also have Miller who still has potential after sitting out last year. It also seems to me that every year we get one or two UDFA linebackers that end up making the team so I believe we might find one or two for depth again this year.
  7. Burns needs to work on his footwork!
  8. Could Daley end up being the LT? Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t he play well when playing LT before? Erving could also be the starting LT. Considering Daley’s injury history I think you should prepare for the worst. Christensen could also end up being the starting LT. I think Christensen and Daley will get the LT and LG spots. Miller may win the job because of experience but don’t be surprised if Brown or Moore wins a starting job. I also think Elfein is a dark horse candidate to be a starter.
  9. Why not? I thought Yeldon put up good numbers just always put in bad situations. He can do everything.
  10. I don’t understand how Haha didn’t even get signed to a team last year. He is a pro bowl FS who has had a lot of interceptions and has been an above average player at his position. I wonder if he has locker room or off field issues?
  11. The stats this year are going to be high because of that extra game. Lots of records are going to be broken because of that extra game
  12. Another bad draft pick that made no sense. I remember I think it was Jalen Ramsey hyping this guy up in the off-season. I was thinking, maybe I’m wrong and he does end up being a good player. Nope, he sucked and was just being hyped up by his friend.
  13. It all depends on Darnold. If he doesn’t play well then we won’t win. He has to improve a lot, not a little to be our future QB. I doubt our back ups can do any better so if he doesn’t have a good season then we will be getting a top pick. If he does that then I could see us winning the division. Tampa looses Brady then they will suck. Atlanta is rebuilding and the saints will probably suck now that Brees is gone. Brady eventually has to break down, maybe this is that season? Look at how bad Manning was his final season.
  14. Because if you haven’t noticed by now we like to have players who are versatile. Just look at most of the players we have drafted and signed and you noticed 90% of them can play multiple positions. The coaching staff really likes this and I understand why.
  15. Where can you bet on the panthers wining the nfc south or rookie of the year at?
  16. That’s why you’re not an NFL coach.
  17. Watch Little get his poo together and end up being our starting LT. That would be hilarious. I wonder if we would be better off by moving Moton to LT and letting someone else play RT? Yes it would mean we would need to pay him more if he was good at LT but If he’s good at LT then it’s worth the money.
  18. We have a history of signing safeties and turning them into pro bowlers. Delano Hill has potential and maybe will be a good player if healthy. Our GM must have liked what he saw in SEA to give him a chance here. If he doesn’t work out no big loss. donnerson will be a camp body in my opinion. We sure love these players with high RAS scores.
  19. Assuming he is healthy enough to play at a high level I think he can do well as a rotational player where he doesn’t get a lot of reps to wear him down. Maybe he can also bring some leadership and teach our new guys how to be better. Nixon may take some time do develop so maybe we will be a lot better with short on the team.
  20. Let’s hope he can mature but if not oh well it was only a 5th round pick. honestly I don’t understand why teams don’t start making programs to help these troubled prospects. Some need mental help, some just need good people to be around. I mean for all the money invested in players and in the nfl you would think they would look after the troubled players more often.
  21. I thought it was funny that when Tremble was drafted they ended up spending just as much time talking about Arnold as they did Tremble. Aquib Talib was praising him which means something to me because he was a great player who could cover the best tight ends.
