They are lacking a 2nd round pick for 2025 due to the Metcalf trade so I would assume the minimum to even be in any discussion would have to involve their 2026 1st.
Which, TBH, they would be foolish to trade away.
Yeah it would be foolish but they are starting to get worn out on Tomlin... the Rodgers stuff has got ridiculous... if they have a shot at a qb... they are in win now mode. You don't trade for Metcalf and have Rudolph only at qb

Also reporting some Campbell uncertainty. Lot's of smoke and distortion starting to billow. But I do buy teams may not be interested in Shedeur.
I said it earlier, every year the week of the draft, random medical stuff/etc cause some unexpected drop.

Beyond the first three picks, I think everyone wants to trade back in this draft. It is a buyer's market and the eighth pick might not have the value it once did when it comes to trades.
Make the pick, take the best player on the board (Warren, imho) and just move on.
I feel you to a degree. I see at least 2 teams needing to go oline before us. Teams above us have horrible olinevplay and Qbs in place already. If they trade too far back, the 2 elite tackles could be gone.

With new wording of Steelers kind of getting burnt out on the Rodgers drama, I could very well see them pivot if 1 of Milroe or Sanders is at 8. Rumors have that a few teams think Milroe could be Hurts all over. If Sanders and Ward(locked at 1) go early, we will see someone try to come up to the sweespot before the possible run happens.

Every year it's a top prospect or 2 that has a random slide on draft night bc of some medical or character concern.... random

Are the Browns really willing to start the season with Flacco or Pickett and get a QB late in the draft to sit for a year or 2? Don't be surprised if they don't take Sanders at #2 and create some chaos at the top.
I've thought bout them as doing that fr. Especially when Myles Garrett spoke on having a Qb.

Every draft has a wrinkle thrown into it... I will say with confidence, at least 2 wrinkles will happen in the first 8 picks. Which could cause a domino effect. I really like our draft position; we will hold a lot of the cards come time to draft at #8
Usually a corner or oline run too...

Random, if the Giants do take Carter... and try to trade Kayvon... I would think about it. If Sanders gets to 8 and they want to trade up from 3(I know that's far) by adding Kayvon and pick swaps in next couple rds and a future 1st or 2nd maybe... Id be game. They pick at the top of each rd, so we'd get talent spill over, a pass rusher with yout/ skill and still have that 34 pick to get a wr etc.
-
Man it's gonna be real murky starting from pick to til our pick and depending on the vibe, we may be in a scenario of getting calls to trade up but I very well could see a trade back. If Sanders and Walker both get picked before 8... we are in a tough position if nobody wants to trade back.
-
I like Walker as a prospect but the irony of us taking an undersized player again is somewhat amusing...

Some Huddlers call him average at best, but his trajectory has been going up. Recognize the job this OL coaching crew did this year--they were not kissing footballs--they were improving young players--Zavala is probably a starting RG on another roster; Mays outplayed Corbett; and Ekwonu is in the top half of the league as a LT.
This offensive line staff really did work. Crazy to think, being that in Tampa they didn't do too well in run blocking.

Not landing a safety in the first 3 rounds is going to be a hard fail for me just like no RB or WR later eould also be fails in this draft. Edge and FS look really bad without talent injections at this point.
I agree but I'm guessing they are keeping Julian Blackmon as a fallback option. Which isn't bad but depends on how the picks go. We definitely need a wr added too. Kind if wonder will they make a play for Kittle or Andrew's, with both being rumored on the market too.

Undersized but I love him. I think he is a top 3-4 pass rusher in this class.
Same feeling on him. His tape shows someone playing big, like Walker. Actually a lil taller too.

Prince we can probably trade into the late 1st and get.
Whats your opinion on the Boston College dude?

An edge needs to fall to us. Not that DT from Michigan. Trade out to 12, take the Penn State TE. Bundle that second to move back up in the late first.
I like the logic and I would have my eyes on the Boston college edge or the ole miss one.

That is a good point. Dart, on some boards according to a few experts on NFL network is the #2. I do not see it--I do not see Milroe as the #4. Frankly, and I think most people are doing it, if I had a qb need in 2025 I would patch the position as best I could with a vet and draft OL, TE, or WR.
Exactly!! This has shades of the Mac Jones draft all over!! A few teams desperate and all it takes is a couple going early and a couple teams desperate for the next! Your logic makes sense, draft the board and go next draft but you know how some Gms n Coaches get.

Another thing, if somebody trades ahead of us to get Sanders, there is a possibility of a panic run. Dart or Milroe chatter could make someone show their hand since it'd put a spotlight on the Saints taking the next qb available.

Imo pick needs to be TMac or defense. But I wouldn’t be mad if they went with Warren
I'm not against Tmac but I feel Golden makes as much since in the offense we have. His game resembles Coker and Leggette to a degree. Golden gives us the quick twitch wr with yac that could find open spots for Bryce faster. Even then, I would rather trade back a few and draft either.

Yeah, ultimately we need to avoid a bust and basically a role/rotational player at 8. Get someone who is going to contribute from day one and make a difference.
The best way to look at it!! The best value for our team... the pick has to contribute!!

You guys whom are so desperate for another offensive player will make any argument to justify your stance.
On offensive players whose value equals 10 too is QBs and elite left tackles.
Otherwise, it's defense.
I'm not mad either way they go honestly bc we not a complete team. We could easily draft Vernon ghoslton all over and that value wouldn't mean a thing. We aren't in the position of wasting picks. Our pick needs to be a starter and with limited guess work of how he'd fit in. Evero, doesn't deserve the choice of wasting another player career. Chinn and Luvu could've did more damage. Hopefully we hit the pick if it's Walker or Williams but we need production for our team... offense or defense.

How? If you had a crystal ball and knew you would get Bowers production his rookie year he would have gone after Nabers
I feel you! Value is only determined by certain measures and for our team, a tight end holds value. Now if they really feel one of the other tight ends can do something, ok but 6 of the last remaining teams in the playoffs, would've struggled heavily without solid tight end play. I'd rather have Jeremy Shockey then Brian burns... in perspective. I'd be happy with Warren bc you know you getting a starter. His game translates with minimal flaws. Remove Kelce from Kc and you probably don't have a few of those rings either.

I really like Warren but saying he’s a WR is quite a stretch. He’s a really good blocking TE and is willing to do literally everything on the field. Finds soft spots in the zone very well but isn’t the receiving threat Bowers or Pitts was coming out. I’d be happy with him at 8 but don’t think we should be under any impression he solves our lack of talent at the WR position.
100 receptions is nothing to sneeze at but I think the biggest thing is he makes the offense more unpredictable. He is a mismatch going out and you can't tip your hat on run or pass plays in 2 tight end or 1 tight end sets. That being said, I don't think they will draft him unless the board shakes a certain way. It does really feel they are locked in on the Georgia boys.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they run it with Rattler. They committed to Carr, so we know they were already willing to tank for Manning. Could they go up for Sanders, of course. I still think they ride it out this year bc they are trying to get out if contracts and dead cap.
