Seems to match his career to me. Had a good rookie year, had kitchens his second year. Had his best year in 2020 and was injured (and being ran out by his coach) in 2021.

Baker never really had good pass catchers…. Obj and him never got on the same page and obj was the 2nd - 3rd receiver in LA. Moore is the best receiver baker has played with. And Carolina’s tight end room is probably better. Bakers number 1 tight end last year, fans were demanding he get traded or cut the year prior.

He was either in his first or second year in the NFL, he was use to college loyalty. People really need to give up on that.

Baker basically got Higgins a new contract. That dude would be out of the league if Baker didnt form that connection with him. I'm sure higgins will help him out.

Uh before the trade I saw plenty of people on here saying things about him treating women poorly. Also i was playing with him right before this all went down. He was comfortable enough with his squad to talk about what was going on behind the scenes. There is no doubt in my mind that Kevin stefanski wanted him out and if you actually watch all the play calling from 2020 and all the play calling from 2021 you can tell. If your boss was actively trying to get you killed you’d be petty too. Baker is like Tom Brady in that if a player doesn’t do something right he will rip them. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the super bowl rings (and respect) to get away with that. There’s plenty of video of his teammates being not only friendly with him but like best buds type stuff. bakers biggest flaw is being too stubborn to sit out in 2021. That whole year messed his image and career up. It didn’t help that his coach would allow d linemen to just go unblocked. I don’t think he’s a hall of famer and he needs the coach to change their gameplan to fit his strengths but if that happens good things can happen. Much worse qbs have won super bowls.

Ive played xbox with baker a number of times. Hes pretty cool virtually. Still cares about winning more than anything. Even though I'm a nobody I was able to poo on him here and there and he just laughed. I can say some of the stuff I've seen on this message board are from people who have never actually watched any browns games and are blindly believing rumors about him. If you are shocked by his interviews than you really haven't researched him almost at all. Hes pretty charismatic..

Luckily you don’t have to long jump too often as a quarterback….. putting all your hopes and dreams into a 3rd round pick is an interesting move. But he went in the 3rd for a reason. If he were so talented and so physically gifted his draft stock would have reflected it.
