  1. The man is consistent, talking here about how winning in the NFL is all in the margins as he did in his press conference. I can tell that there will be no mixed messages from our HC.
  2. I so totally respect Bill Polian and have for a very long time. When Richardson hired him as our first GM to set up the team I knew he was serious about winning.
  3. Wilks was my first choice but I've liked Frank Reich too. He comes with his own Carolina connections. I honestly think it was a matter of two peas in a pod. We'll have the same outcome no matter which one is HC. Reich is now Panthers Head Coach and I will 100% support him. I hope he gets the same high energy in the locker room as Wilks quickly.
  4. There is nothing on either the ESPN or NFL websites about any Panthers noncompliance. Nothing. AND when googling "Carolina Panthers noncompliance" this thread shows up 2nd after the terms and conditions for the panthers.com website. Let's just stop this crap now. It's disrespectful to the Teppers and the organization.
  5. I would not be surprised at all if Payton comes in and with no humility tells Tepper to just get it over with and hire Steve Wilks because Wilks is the best man for the job. He's being interviewed for his advice not the HC job. Other than that, Payton will want full control (been there, done that with Seifert and Rhule). Our future will be down the drain because it will take draft picks to the Saint to get it done.
  6. I've been a Buffalo Bills fan since I was 8 yo and the team was created. I've been through it all and haven't quit despite moving to the Carolinas from Buffalo in 1976. No, nothing will have me quit the Panthers. Pulled for them since their creation (PSLs from beginning to 2019 when I was retired & couldn't afford season's tickets anymore); there's nothing like that feeling that you are part of the team from the beginning, watching them grow and with that comes joy and sorrow. Compared to watching your child grow, they just went through the I'm-never-showering-again teen years and I'm excited about what's next.
  7. No. You know I can't and neither can anyone else on this board. But then ....... no one knew he was the "Luke Keuchly" in his draft either. I'm staying out of this argument. It's all a closely studied crap shoot.
  8. We have picked at 9th ONE other time. I'd say we did pretty damn well then.
  9. Thank you @TheBigKat for the poo reaction. I was afraid I'd miss out. Thanks for the thought. You .
  10. Yes, I am proud. I'm proud of how this team, deemed at the beginning of the season as the worst, fought every step of the way in our last 12 games with Wilks. Damar Hamlin should've taught you that football players are human and no one wants to lose.
  11. The Bills game isn't on locally or nationally so YTTV won't be recording it but it will record the Panthers game. So I'll be watching the Bills game live with a streaming service at 1:00 and the Panthers game afterwards from the recorded version.
  12. What Arizona and New Orleans did not learn from watching tape is that, no matter how the refs call the game (and we know they will be in TB's favor), you get ahead and do not leave Brady any time on the clock. None. Nada. Zippo. I think Wilks knows this very well and will game plan accordingly. We got this.
  13. The Rams with Baker tonight showed what can happen with a coach who believes in you and coaches who take the time to get to know you as much as possible. I don't think micromanager Rhule ever liked Mayfield, ever really wanted to start him. Thus the summer "quarterback competition". Baker felt that. No matter how good a QB can be, that counts for a lot. Look at what McVay did for Stafford, made him a Super Bowl champion by believing in him and giving him every chance to succeed. I hope McVay takes the same approach with Mayfield.
  14. Agree! They are not unbeatable. But I hate the Broncos more, glad we beat them as thoroughly as we did. Where Wilson goes, hate follows.
  15. During an early press conference, he was asked about a DL player jumping offsides giving the opposing team a 1st down instead of getting them off the field and eventually they scored a TD . His answer was along the lines (paraphrasing here) that he loved the energy and eagerness the "kid" displayed. I knew from that moment that he was trying to turn the Panthers into a college team instead of treating them and respecting them as professional NFL players, grown men. And it knew would never work.
