He is guilty of overtraining which would definitely make him prone to tendinitis.

I don't understand why someone hasnt converted him already to a slot WR. You could see what was about to happen to him from a mile away when San Fran started the process of running him into the ground. He would make one hell of a good slot and if he can make a comeback from this should be put in that position the rest of his career.

Bryce Young: The NFL's Most Aggressive Quarterback in 2024?
Ricky Prickles replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell, its a positive start. He is looking to be more aggressive than he ever has in the past regardless of WR's getting separation or not. Bryce does look more aggressive lately which gives him more of a chance to look better. Hopefully this continues with him and some of us who had all but given up on him may change our tune. -

Can they keep this Sunday close too?
Ricky Prickles replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
They have been finding a way to keep it close somehow lately even against quality teams. I think they will keep it close again. This team still sucks but is developing into a gritty team that fights for it at very least. That could be a nice characteristic that shows major benefit a season or two down the line. Something is happening in front of us and they are improving. Like Canales and Morgan or not but they are very slowly improving this team in talent and attitude. They no longer look as if they are just collecting pay checks as in seasons past. That defense is going to improve majorly next season and this season is turning out to be great for development of the young guys. I have nothing but high hopes and good anticipation for future years judging by what I am now seeing from these guys on the field in terms of attitude and mindset and that is a direct result of good coaching and a GM who keeps trying to find diamonds in the rough no mater what. It is happening very slowly but improvement continues. -

Clemson fan? I played 5 years for their number 1 rival then returned years later to train and work with players at my alma mater who is their biggest rival in existence. I was brought up to hate Clemson and everything about that god awful orange they wear. In my time back I have seen Lawrence up close and personal more times than I wanted from just a few feet away dismantle my boys. I trained guys to try to tear him apart so I wouldn't say I'm a Clemsux fan at all. I'm not gonna have a whining match about who said what and don't care. I shared my perspective initially and you said I was wrong so I responded with you are wrong and why. I also have a comparison just because I can't stand Deion from some past interactions I've had with him and I know you worship his narcissistic behind the scenes psychotic toxic manipulative ass so I thought I would share with you that your boy Shedeur has been stat padding in a weak conference with daddy behind him setting everything up for the Shedeur show and unless some NFL team hires him to be the coach he is going to have one hell of a wake up call in the NFL guaranteed. I have t seen that exact scenario played out but I've seen so many similar situations play out at the high school then college level that this formula they have going is an ending recipe for a rough wake up call and disaster which truly is not fair to his son. I met Shedeur when he was much younger and he seemed to be a very nice young man so I hope it is not such but from what I've seen personally and then over the past number of years on television he will have a very tough transition. But you are the expert my brotha and this is your goat to jump into submission so I tap out and yield to you on that debate saying only we shall see in the end. Trevor Lawrence is far from done and that dude has some of the sickest skills I have ever witnessed and that is with saying I have stood up close and personal to some amazing NFL talent when in college. He is right there at the very top of the bets of the best of the best I have seen. Skills he does not lack and it goes long past the look of having the height. -

I'm not the least bit triggered.......? You seemed to get worked up a little when I disagreed with you and I thought it was a little bit funny is all. I know you believe in Deion and his boy so I was just pointing out his son is another college god who unfortunately I believe may be fooling everyone and will flame out pretty hard in the NFL or at best become a decent backup to count on. What you see in Lawrence you may very well see in Deion's son I have a pretty strong feeling. Lawrence was just more successful in college is all. -

Yeah he put it together one season decently and has not since. I've seen hundreds of college QB's very up close and Lawrence is in the top 5% easily of all I've seen in terms of impressed me and what I saw him do but that is definitely a long time removed now and something isn't clicking with him. Don't know what it is or why but I hope he figured it out for his sake. -

No he has the tools, you are wrong sorry. And I don't see where I said being a nice guy or well mannered transfers to success, I simply stated what I saw out of him in some up close personal interactions on the sidelines after a couple games. I can't explain what's going on with him but he had it for a season and hasn't recaptured it. The team around him is junk and he has not made them better. A good QB can still perform with crap but right now he isn't playing like a good QB. The guy has more than "the look". The look is nothing more than height. He has the tools and once showed them quite well on the field. They are there somewhere, whether he finds them again who knows but the guy has all the talent in the world. If you want to talk about someone fooling us in college, check out Shedeur. Great in college but won't transfer to the NFL. Will make a fine backup one day but that's about it. Only difference between Shedeur and Lawrence is Shedeur wasn't good enough to lead his team to a national championship in college. -

He has the tools from what I saw and I saw him a couple times very up close. Height, scramble ability, strong accurate arm and a tough guy. One of his issues is the absolute poo team around him. The Jags seem to allow some good players around him to leave. They blew their wad with him financially and now either can't or won't spend much more. He could potentially be a monster on a better team. Nice guy as well. Extremely mannerly even to a foe who stands on the opposite sidelines of him. He is a good guy I would love to see succeed and it says a lot coming from me as I was brought up a rival to his college and we all saw him as the enemy but what a hell of a good dude besides his poor choice in university. He has not lived up to expectations at all but I don't feel like it is a lack of tools. From what I could see first hand, he has all the tools including the mental but a lack of talent around him I think does hurt and there's just something more I can't place holding him back. He had the one solid year and then struggled since and I'm not all the way sure but his tools look amazing on the field. -
PFF names Panthers QB Bryce Young the best deep passer
Ricky Prickles replied to pantherclaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
I want to see more of this and at a consistent level but so good so far at the beginning and now damn good so far the past week or two. Hope he keeps it up and can be the guy everyone hoped he could be when he was drafted. Who knows, maybe he has developed his mind to handle everything while being aggressive and maybe this is the true beginning of his career. I sure hope so. -
What Exactly Caused Bryces Turnaround?
Ricky Prickles replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's all mindset. He is not playing afraid and he seems to play like he no longer cares if he is benched forever and traded away or not. He gained confidence in himself and the right mindset can overcome almost anything at all including size limitations in certain situations when the particular person in question is mentally tough enough and believes in themselves enough. That benching somehow has helped him and brought out his best. I'm curious to see how he does the rest of the season as he has most definitely earned the job for the rest of the season for a good proper evaluation on his future with this team. He now has potential and is now developing. If you forget last season and only look at this one you would say he has a world of potential. His story is not written yet and I had all but given up on him. He has started to beat the odds and I'm happy as can be for him and hope he can continue to grow like this with each game this season then go bust his ass working hard in the off-season. He must keep up this momentum and keep this new mindset he has developed with his more aggressive style of play. Nothing more I would love than to be proven wrong by him. -
That's a matter of opinion and that won't be determined for a couple years from now. If the guy turned out to be amazing in the next couple years would it be a bad pick then? Not saying he will but whether or not it was a bad pick is still up in the air. Initially it looks like it could be with other needs but if the guy turned out to be a world beater then I guess it wouldn't be. Easy to second guess what others do but if we were so damn great, we would be getting paid to make decisions like this for an NFL team already and not discussing it on a message board where everyone thinks they are an expert.

It happens sometimes and Pinero has been overall pretty reliable but his bad game could not have come at a worse time than yesterday's game when those points were really needed. Hopefully he gets himself back on track this week.

Yes how dare Brooks not break the single game all time rushing record in his first game in the NFL and back from a serious knee injury. Dammit, cut him!
-
But he apparently likes a good 69. I mean heck I can't fault him for that at least I guess.

BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard
Ricky Prickles replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
They technically didn't pay some extreme amount for him. You make it sound like they are paying him top RB in the league. fug man, even Payton, or Emmit Smith or even Barry Sanders has fumbled. If it happens weekly then we have a problem. -
BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard
Ricky Prickles replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do you also chime in with some stupid poo like this when Chuba has a good game or just when he doesn't rush for 100 yards and fumbles? -
But we remember him from the XFL as a fan favorite of our team. People here liked him for what he did in the XFL definitely yet he was also a likeable guy for us and a pretty reliable backup RB/special teams guy.

Call me nuts but I still think Sam Howell has a future and a huge upside. His first year starting in Washington with that crap offensive line, he performed pretty damn well. His TD's were up there as well as his passing yards. If he can control those Ints, he could be a very good QB in my opinion. Gun slinger mentality and not afraid to go for it. I still want him and still believe in him as well as have a feeling he could be had for cheap. His story is not yet written and the right coach could possibly get some serious production out of him. And no I am no Tarheels fan at all. I'm a fan of only one university because of my history there and ties to it so this is not a homer post. I simply respect his game.
