  1. Route running is something that needs to be taught so unless you go to a program that has top coaching staff to teach them that like at OSU, you not going to be good at it unless you are foolish enough to think they learn that in high school LOLOL!!!! You can't reach speed...you either have it at a young age or you don't.
  2. Bryce NEEDS playmakers to win, not protection. He was one of the most elusive off script QB in the game able to avoid defenders without breaking a sweat but need playmakers to pass it to. Its like you NEVER seen him play yet you thought we will be competing for the NFC conference finals right after drafting Bryce?!? Imagine if the Bengals had gotten Burrows that elite OT many experts demanded to protect his backside instead of his LSU connection in J'marr Chase, they would NEVER would have went to the SB. Get Bryce his playmaker and you will be grinning like the Joker after a few games into the season.
  3. I agree! Me not liking him at the next level has NOTHING to do with his height. Its an understandable argument for a QB but never for receivers in the NFL. Tareek is even shorter at 5'10" and would love me some of that all day long!
  4. No way Egbula will slip just cause he plays for the Buckeyes, the top school where 5 star recruits go to. If you don't have elite potential, they don't want you. Big game Worthy will not be taken in the first round which is why we should nab him with our 2nd round pick. Yes he had bust potential but his ability to separate from speedy corners is a plus in my book.
  5. T-Mac has elite potential no doubt but still a few years away for any scout to concentrate on. We need to make this happen for the upcoming draft to get Bryce a playmaker, not down the road. Back on Cowing, he doesn't have one of two abilities that is required to be a WR1 in my book which is athleticism and breakaway speed. He got neither to be effective at the next level. Not only that, he even struggles to get separation from non elite backs in college. Only trait that really sticks out is his blocking ability on run plays like whoop be do. Unless you are bias, not even sure why you want this guy. Route running is not important as far as i am concern cause it can be taught at any level even after he turns pro since it's a discipline matter, not breakaway speed even if he takes steroids cause you will only get slower with age. Bryce need someone like Jamo, trust me on this.
  6. As a big fan of college ball, Cowing doesn't have what it takes at the next level. You shouldn't use adjectives to hype a guy up just cause you are bias towards him. He would be lucky to be as good as Burks. If Fitter is smart, he will draft Xavier Worthy with good hands and breakaway speed from being a track star. Also like Roman Wilson who has the straight line speed along with his tough moxey that i like in a receiver but he will be gone in the first round. We will never win without a receiver who can spread the defense away with fear. NEVER!
  7. They also have a true playmaker in Garrett. Not their fault Zach cannot take advantage of his breakaway speed. I would trade Theilen and Mingo plus a 2nd round pick for Garratt and consider ourselves lucky to pull it off. Rodgers would NEVER say WOW when passing to Mingo
  8. I thought the 49ers Seahawks night game was the most entertaining of the 3, maybe due to the plays called with a purpose and executed to perfection which is a credit to their HC. If we had Kyle, i think he can find ways go get our receivers open for Bryce to consistently complete to in the pocket like Purdy. Yes i know Purdy is elite which there is no more denying but i believe Bryce can too under Kyle. Unfortunately, Reich just doesn't have the complex chess thinking mind of a Shanahans https://clutchpoints.com/49ers-george-kittle-kyle-shanahans-genius-calling-plays
  9. Level of competition and past history results always play a part on my draft board. If CJ wanted to be successful without a string of 5 star recruits committed to OSU due to their success rate on generating 1st round talent in the receivers group. Other than Jamo, who happens to be an OSU tranfer to Bama cause they were so loaded to standout receivers for him to get any playing time, Bryce wouldn't have any talented receivers to pass to, which is why he had to do so much on his own to find open receivers which CJ didn't have to at OSU. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10055024-bryce-young-only-player-on-alabama-offense-with-nfl-draft-round-1-grade-gm-says And i have answered your question on why i post Sam D vids is due to my fandom of the ghostbusters film and what we had prior to the draft for a signal caller but you never answer my question on any other OSU QB you were high on besides CJ?
  10. You are right as I want to apologize for grouping you with the vast majority here like who likely toss a nerf football as a kid at best with no one trying to tackle them is enough to criticize why Bryce struggles other than his light, short stature unlike most posters like Ickmule. Secondly, so you completely IGNORE the fact that NO other QB from Ohio State has EVER succeeded as a pro, YOU STILL wanted CJ following the huge Sam D failure. As you should know, both has similar physical attributes at 6'3 with a weigh within 5 lb apart along with similar arm strength unlike Bryce. So THAT IS WHY I thought you were just BS'ing me. I knew all of this coming in so that is WHY i didn't want another OSU passer who only benefits from all the elite 5 star receivers they tend to recruit there, most end up bring studs as a pro. Let me ask you this....did you also wanted any other highly regarded OSU QB in the past like Schleicher, Pryor, Barrett, Braxton, Cardale, Haskins or Fields cause that program has long been known on having tutors doing their academic work under the table so their players can just concentrate on the game? Let me guess, it was just CJ that you wanted cause you KNEW he was the one like Neo regardless of their low s2 scores that turn most football experts off but you knew it would not effect his ability to handle NFL pressure in the pocket unlike Sam D right? In all honesty, i wouldn't believe in myself if that's what i had claim over all the other teams who would have chosen Bryce groom by Bama's best in following the steps of Tua and Hurts. And finally i won't post anymore Sam D vids unless someone else brings him up. Sorry about that but i am a big ghostbuster fan so... https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2023/4/21/23692550/c-j-stroud-s2-score-nfl-draft-ohio-state
  11. Not under intense pressure with edge rushers coming at you like a freight train, it is very hard but then again, you just sitting on your coach munching on chips thinking you can do better cause you happen to play flag football as a QB in grade school. i have as well but i am no fool thinking it is easy to be good and successful at the highest level. https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2021/11/7/22769014/sam-darnold-carolina-panthers-qb-purgatory Keep in mind, after trading a high 2nd round plus 2 more picks and then picked up his 18 million option for another year of mediocrity following a disaster of a season on someone with a cannon arm but cannot process anything other than passing to ghost under pressure, would you draft CJ with an extremely low s2 score or Bryce with a computer like processing speed even under pressure and off script plays which he excel at. https://www.on3.com/news/breaking-down-nfl-draft-qb-s2-scores-bryce-young-soars-cj-stroud-raises-red-flags/ So any owner who suffered thru Sam D with his cannon arm would no longer place cannon arm as a requirement but someone who can quickly process plays under pressure with accuracy, the choice is obvious. So instead all you hypocrites on this forum who ALSO wanted Bryce over the next Sam D by attacking Tepper with his choice, the same choice every other team would have made including the Texans, just look at the mirror. I know I wanted Bryce and not afraid to admit it. Those who was willing to still take CJ after Sam D are basically hypocrites and liars by attacking for taken Bryce. They should just look at the mirror and blame themselves. That's why i will continue showing what we had prior to this draft.
  12. He is 2nd to none out of his QB class and is MUCH faster than many vets in the NFL with years of experience already. It doesn't matter cause you can either process fast under pressure or you can't. Sam D is still passing to ghost under pressure cause his processing speed is no different than someone on quaaludes.
  13. That fan is a hater by calling Bryce out for having slow processing time when no one other QB believes it. Ask CJ that and he would say you no nothing if he even bother to acknowledge you. No one loses their processing ability from earlier in the year up to week 1. Timing might be off but not their mental ability to process data on the field and react immediately on the best choice available at that moment. It is 2nd to none. Let's give him 3 season to the doubters wrong. The Jets gave Sam D 3 season before they moved on yet most here wanted him cause of his cannon arm regardless of this well known flaw....
  14. Duh really...like i didn't know that. You blame Bryce for trying to win in a almost impossible no won situation running this joke of an offense. Had we drafted CJ, he would be struggling just the same id not worse while everyone on this forum would accuse his slow processing speed based on his low s2 score as proof instead of listening to all the film study and sport analysis stating that Bryce should have been the top choice which Tepper failed to listen.
  15. He has the FASTEST processing time of any QB coming out of the draft. Even CJ has stated when ask that he wish he can process as fast and poise as Bryce has on pressure plays. That's why Bryce is the top choice for NFL teams.
  16. It highlight our receivers inability to get any separation on deep routes. Accuracy does play a part of the equation but without playmakers, this offense will always be limited. Just ask Tua what a difference having a Hill/Waddle tandem makes while we traded away our very own. And Thielen has reliable hands to make tight catches but he is no deep threat that's required to be a WR1 playmaker. He is more like an old Edelman past his prime. Reliable but cannot spread the offense down field and should never be anyone's number one guy.
  17. So any player with a last name starting with H will not play tomorrow. Sounds like a conspiracy.
  18. I care which is why my posts on this thread are positive to bring about everlasting hope for good towards the Panthers regardless of all the mistakes that's been made from the powers to be thus far. No hate nor negativity but love and joy!!!
  19. BB told Lamar he was going to draft him with one of their 2 first round picks but he didn't during draft day which include drafting an over hyped RB. BB is a great coach but he is awful in drafting.
  20. After the Raiders replaced Josh with Pierce Jr, they won 2 straight by overachieving for their HC. Same with the Texans for DeMeco. Same for our players last year for Wilks. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article270047637.html Please bring Wilks back so we can overachieve again Tepper if you are reading this or ask Tony Dungy!!! Sometimes Harbaugh is too scared to do with his players if they act like jerks. We need him back!!!
  21. I bet my Flower gets more points in fantasy then your J'marr tonight. We be good for sure my friend. This divisional game between 2 contenders has playoffs implications all over it. Wish i had kept Burrows when he was hurt early on
  22. I got Flowers on my fantasy cause i want him to break my flower. He just gain alot of yards on his first catch which got me points too in a full PPR league wooohooooo!!!!!
  23. Duh really? Fitts refused to trade him as we could have gotten Jamo straight up for Burns which is the Lions missing link to compete for the SB!!! Broncos traded away many of their high price players including the great Von Miller, whom just lost to Denver last night as a Bills player who couldn't sack R.Wilson. Now we will lose Burns for nothing cause Fitts cannot be proactive by filling a bigger NEED, playmakers. Jamo is wasting away as a Lions cause Goff doesn't trust him. Bryce does....trust me on this! https://sidelionreport.com/posts/detroit-lions-rumors-trade-targets-linked-01hdeffcj810/3
  24. What?!? Wilks has motivated this team which includes Sam D to win games during his interim like DeMeco has been doing. The key is motivating our players that i have come to realized. If Tepper doesn't its all about players responding to the HC over schemes guys who should NEVER be HC like Josh McDaniel cause he says umm every other word when trying to motivate players. Bring Wilks back and watch our players respond to him for him like they play hard for DeMeco and Pierce which works!!!!
