  1. btw fwiw etc Over the cap, I looked at because he was said to be a salary cap release. He got something like 14mil for 2022. And has made 87mil in his career. Meaning I guess that 2 mil he missed out on, he can withstand.
  2. let’s not forget the sneak lol. It’s a twofer.
  3. Kind of like Smitty and his Blood and Guts return to BOA?
  4. Yeah I think stuff is in his head big time. I bet he reads the net and saw what people were saying about him, all offseason. Which I thought was unfair (and telling, that a lot of people who won’t hear a bad word about Bryce, went all in on XL). Then he fuged up the 1st play of that preseason game getting thrown out. Then the first game he pulls a couple of bonehead moves, probably saw people talking about him more. It isn’t good in any event but feeling hate from your fan base probably did a number on him. Seems like a real nice guy, that maybe is too sensitive. I am sure someone will try to help I’m get his mind wrapped around how he Has to respond and if he goes into a shell and doesn’t fight back it’s over for him.
  5. About the Hail Mary… you probably saw but if not, we just went over that a few days ago and I learned that maybe Reich did that to piss Tepper off (heh) and that Bryce was really pissed and so was Tepper. I had intended to search out the replay of that game and look at Reich and Bryce in that moment, for fun. And look at the um, postgame, um, press conference. Haven’t done it. We are talking 50 yards. Definitely not 60. I think I maybe have seen 45 yards in a game but him throwing 50 yards, IMO, is probably gonna look like a rainbow and take a longer time to get to the target. He has to hit the driver to get that distance, can’t use the three wood or 2 iron like the big boys. Like most NFL QBs. It is kind of like Pinero, his leg is good for what it is good for but anything over a certain distance, you just can’t do. We moved on, and bang! 57 yarder. We can try them now. Said it plenty but I just don’t want that kind of limitation put on my favorite football team. Edit: and on the video of that beautiful TD to AT that was about 50 air yards? Announcers called it a rainbow lol. Anyhow, that needs to be tried more because I guarantee AT was behind those guys because they didn’t expect them to try that. If you do that more maybe you get them playing a little more off.
  6. Yeah I said that somewhere. People are overlooking the facts to the situation. He wasn’t in camp, and there is no way he was going to walk in and be a big part of things immediately. It shouldn’t take a real long time though, because the same coach was there in 2022 AT’s last year with the Vikings. He had 70 catches that season fwiw.
  7. When I attack someone, it will be very clear. I don’t even care that much it is just speculating and discussion. I don’t think I ever claimed the timeline varied from what you just gave. But to speculate further, the fact that he did not have an avenue to go back home does not preclude his family not being happy about not being there. Maybe they didn’t even want him to play another year, who knows?
  8. If I were a Falcon fan I would think that is a really lame excuse. And would be sharpening my axe.
  9. If the offense screws them, more snaps and experience gained plus it gives them some adversity to deal with and learn from. I can’t say how it will go this year but I certainly do not want a 4th year of trying to swim upstream.
  10. Whatever imperfections remain for Bryce to work around, it wasn’t from lack of them trying. The overkill of investment in offense is like the bailing out the banks to me, lol. Can’t allow them to fail. Agree about the RB in the 4th. Not the finest use of assets, we have to hope he is worth it. I don’t remember what ILB we could have gotten at that point, but would say that is the one thing I think is questionable. I think the first three picks are gonna pay good dividends. McMillan looks like he will be a real beast in a year or two. I wasn’t totally thrilled going offense Again, but it looks like they nailed it.
  11. I don’t know how we can ‘know’ either way, we can only speculate what was going on in the family. I think it is clear it wasn’t his choice to leave that team and have to go elsewhere. Also that the family would be excited to go Home. I guess I just don’t give enough of a poo to make a big deal of it, like to impugn the FO over it or whatever other repercussions it has. I don’t really have a problem with the cap savings or the trade compensation.
  12. Yeah maybe. Who the fug can do anything with Tepper edicts to factor in? By the time you placate him you are in round 4. But regardless. For me, I promised I wouldn’t judge either GM or HC in that first year. And I didn’t. In the end maybe instead of Tepper poisoning last year it was Dan making mistakes. I feel like maybe he is learning from them, because this draft looks really good to me.
  13. I don’t know. The giving up 2 million dollars is a bit extreme. Who doesn’t need two million dollars?
  14. I just felt like they were boxed in by a Make Bryce succeed now directive. They chose Legette because they had the other roles filled. Rather than look at the longer term. I think it was why Brooks too. Just my biased feeling. Everybody said it last year: take away the excuses. With a little grace this year it looks like a much better draft
  15. I think there is an argument to be made that this might have been best for the team. These young guys have to step up. No Bryce safety blanket makes him have to learn to trust some other guys. Time will tell. An ancillary benefit might be that Morgan is viewed by potential FAs as a solid straight up guy to deal with.
  16. Just looked. 3 games 6 targets 2 receptions 26 yds No TDs I felt like that deal was wife driven - kids probably didn’t like Charlotte, probably missed their friends wife misses her family etc And he has to hear about it Keeping peace in the home front Just speculations but that’s the vibe I got from it
  17. He would have to promise none of that eating his fingers pep talk stuff. I was seriously grossed out for some reason by that.
  18. I have not come to those terms. I don’t care what the trend is, I know how much a great LB can contribute. Everyone here should know that, with our history. I want the next great one to be great here. I believe Dan can find him.
  19. As much as I detest Ray Lewis for his murder involvement, and his making a spectacle out of himself in his intros, he was a really great player. But there are not many at all that I would put up with either of them.
  20. I’m sorry (to the Cam fans) but Jake is my favorite Panther QB. Rode in on a white horse to save the day, in his first game as a Panther. I think we were 17 points down at the half. He came out of nowhere, and BAM. And played great in the biggest game of his life too.
  21. Thanks. I was just off looking. Found a compilation of reactions to Luke not being 1st ballot if anyone wants to see it: https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/nfl-luke-kuechly-hall-of-fame-snub-tweets-panthers
  22. Who that compares to Luke was denied the 1st ballot honor? Maybe I should look. I am biased I guess but I don’t think with an extra 3 years with no decline, how could they legitimately deny him?
  23. Maybe in a Thomas Davis thread. Brooks is at 2 now. To state the obvious. I don’t know orthopedic surgery but total speculation by me is maybe the first surgery was done incorrectly, and it isn’t just a weak knee thing. That got me. My knees would not hold up but that was in the old days of even one ACL ruining you.
