  1. A little variation on tanking I guess. I already never really wanted to see Bryce again and after his brain dead outing on Sunday I never want to see Andy again either. Hell of a situation.
  2. Seems like the landscape for college QBs is changing some of this stuff in a way that may not be really obvious. Because we have the last two or three years, more guys being redeemed. Is it possible they just aren’t as ready and that accounts for some later development?
  3. Okay. I thought this was being used to imply that Dalton would be starting.
  4. It seems that way. I agree on the game day stuff in general. I have other criticisms also. Or questions. I mean I could argue that Renfro should be active too, but I am accepting that it isn’t always fair. By that I mean BY is the one that can’t hit him. And prioritizing snaps for younger players is arguable but I haven’t seen a lot out of them either. Horn is more promising to me than Coker at this point but again, the QB play has been bad, and the running game has been more of a focus too.
  5. Am I missing some secret coded message here? Is BY9 participating in QB drills too, or is he not?
  6. So because Dalton is in pads, that means he is playing again?
  7. That hardline approach doesn’t always serve best interests in real world situations. I get it. The whole uproar over essentially giving Chuba an extra game to validate himself doesn’t really move the needle much with me. I was irritated along with most people when Chuba came out on the first series against the Bills. Just think it is being overblown in service of the argument against Canales There wouldn’t be an Andy situation if not for Bryce and that whole clusterfug. I never have liked it but I never have liked having Bryce under these conditions. Circumstances. That poo is coming from ownership and a coach that would buck that is a coach that would not have been hired. IOW it would probably be the same with Canales replaced, unless Tepper said it wouldn’t. And if not Andy then some other non threat.
  8. Because he isn’t signed for next year and we won’t have him then. We are talking 9 games, and do you really think we will have a winning record if he stays? That is a hard sell to me. edit: but I would lean towards keeping him with the compensatory pick swaying the argument.
  9. That is a good point. We will get something if he signs elsewhere and if we can keep him producing he surely will get some offers. Might be at the top of the FA pool for RBs
  10. His feelings could be the deciding factor. Maybe should be. Both ‘sides’ have valid points.
  11. I can understand thinking Chuba could run through some of those same holes, and doing the split. The second week was the real offense.
  12. It isn’t going to be consistent with your QB that you sold all the way out for vs a mere underperforming WR. We have understood the deal with that QB room for two years. During and after 2023 many, you included, me included, were begging for someone to compete for the QB job and complaining that it was just handed to Bryce from day one without him having to win it.
  13. Sounds college. But I guess it is just a title because there is always a defacto leadership group in the locker room And the coaches lean on them.
  14. When you have Dalton playing like he did in an important game, you really have nothing. We could get that from anyone. Maybe we could get worse, but at his level of play what difference does it make? You ain’t winning with him you ain’t even competing with him.
  15. We are. It’s a fair point. We aren’t replaying g those game every week we have new challenges ahead. Those were Bad defense he torched and the OL played a big part in his success too. I think he was great as far as it goes. Against a good d that wants to stop the run, is he enough to overcome that or will he yield less production? I guess that is the question. If he isn’t the difference between his production and Chuba’s might not be so great. also, the locker room should be considered. What would the effect of trading him be? Probably not great. I only said ‘consider’ not ‘would definitely’. I am trying to consider the angles.
  16. You were quick, I edited to say that I understood your point about the claim, after reading a couple more posts. I hear you about Rico. And I can’t say that my scenario will happen but I feel like they will try to make us one dimensional. I guess that hinges on is Rico good enough to stop them from shutting him down? If he is, that is pretty huge. Most backs aren’t able to excel with a concerted effort to bottle them up.
  17. This is the logical assessment. We aren’t talking about his entire production we are talking about the difference over what Chuba and Etienne can produce. We also don’t know if he really wants to be here after the last month. I would think he is cool but we don’t know. To me it depends on the return I would consider it for a 4th and would just do it for any more, which won’t happen
  18. It would help if you would specifically say what claim I made that you disagree with. I wasn’t really pounding the table for anything just looking at some factors. never mind Insee what you meant by the claim comment now.
  19. Yep, because when Young plays like ha is a 5th round flier you can’t have someone that the fans will be calling for sitting there ready.
  20. I would probably trade Chuba but I haven’t looked at the FA RB market for next year. We have done well with replacing RBs the last few years so I wouldn’t let that stop me. I wouldn’t give him away though and I’d want to see if RICO was receptive to a deal first, I guess. edit: I would also consider the locker room and what kind of impact it might have first.
  21. I don’t think that is why it was done. I think it was faith in Chuba the first game. Also, some of those holes Rico got were massive and many backs could have taken advantage. You see that and think Chuba can run through those holes. Doesn’t work quite that way against the Jets. Chuba is a team Captain. So you give him another chance. I think it is that simple.
  22. Okay here is the thing, those were bad defenses he tore up. Tne holes were large. He was great don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I see teams focusing on shutting our run down and forcing Bryce to beat them. I think they will be able to and then what is he? Nutshell, he probably won’t want to re-sign, the run game is going to be shut down a lot, maybe the smart move is listen to offers and if we get a no brainer take it. Giants need a RB. Would you trade him for Jameis?
  23. That’s fair, he probably has Pete, maybe. Who is busy right now.
  24. I can pinpoint it and did so like on Monday in clear language and got three turd piles and nothing else. I must have been warm and the turds were left by people who it may also apply to. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
