  1. Okay you don’t like Brown and you think Burns is great I guess. This has reached the end for me. I said what I think you said what you think. We will not agree on this making it pointless to continue. Peace.
  2. Oh please. Worst player n the NFL is a pretty big claim. Watched our linebackers much? We have guys that can’t beat them out. And that’s just our team.
  3. Irony yes you could say that as long as there is no intent to claim that because he left we all of a sudden got so bad we are losing all the time. Which it seems like you might be trying to imply. Did we lose something? Yes we did. Was it worth 5 years at 28 mil per? Not to my thinking.
  4. First: What do you think the word ‘scapegoating’ means? Because what I said was not scapegoating. They are two different players playing two different roles. I simply said two things about Burns, if I recall. One, basically he is a one dimensional player that is doing well because they have a very strong front in NY. Two, I was against paying his price because he is a liability against the run. One dimensional and therefore not worth it. Summing it up: he e is a pass rush specialist, about all I have ever felt about him, and his financial demands made him much less of a value. IMO.
  5. We disagree then. You want to talk about someone not being worth the money? That’s why Burns is gone. A guy that is a definite liability in the run game isn’t worth close to what the Giants gave him. I am glad they let him go because I definitely did not want to pay him that. I wish we’d have taken the Rams’ offer but oh well we had to waste our own picks on Bryce.
  6. I didn’t see that. Wow. Of course, the hamstring thing smells like raccoon road kill. I expected something g to happen when Coker got healthy, just because it will be so thin with no Legette, no Coker, no AT.
  7. The thing that tells me this is the QB room. It is like he made a deal with Morgan and Canales that Bryce was to be given whatever it takes to succeed. Every decision had him at the center of it. That is why Brooks (his pass catching was suppposed to be best in the RB class). Obviously the heavy focus on upgrading the offensive personnel was part of it. And the lameness of the 3rd QB, bringing back Bryce’s service ginger. That was all dictated if you ask me. And that, is all negotiated by at the top and allows Tepper to look like he took the big step back during the draft and in season, for those concerned about that. The same type of deal as the 3-4, that is a condition of employment.
  8. I remember Wilks being very complimentary to Baker for the way he handled himself. Mostly how he responded when Wilks committed to Darnold, I think. We would have been so much better off if Baker had played well and we kept him and DJ and the number 9 and all the rest of our picks.
  9. You got that right. Those linebackers are a waste of a roster spot. Wallace looks just like he looked last season. Slow, getting pushed around, completely ineffective.
  10. Given the idiocy of our big bass man I wouldn’t bet that he’s gone. He’s liable to win four or five and get those stats where Tepper looks at it and says if he just had a better coach. And here we go again for four more years of the tippy toe offense.
  11. Brown is a beast. There was a video up of him totally rag dolling a Cardinal lineman. It was a legit rag dolling of that guy. I haven’t seen one big man do that to another for some time. Sacks are not the best measure of his value, IMO. If he takes up two guys then one of his teammates should be eating. I don’t much of that. I would say look at Brian Burns the other day tearing. He wasn’t doing that until they put more in the line with him that people have to worry about. Now he is eating. (hopefully Brown’s teammates will take advantage of what he is doing for them)
  12. Yeah. Like that. I was picturing Sgt Carter yelling at Gomer Pyle, showing my age, but that is good enough right there.
  13. Yeah me too. We should have taken him. He was a much better bet than most of what you find that far down. He might have been 5 stars coming out of high school, I don’t know. Just that he was highly thought of. His college career didn’t get off to a great start and he ended up on a bad team with bad protection. But you could watch him and see what he had. I don’t see a way he doesn’t have a long career as a #2, at worst.
  14. Who is playing QB for the Panthers in this movie, where we beat Atlanta?
  15. To me, that guy is every bit the pro quarterback Bryce is, with a better NFL physique, and a better arm. If I totaled up the value of the picks we used for Young, which I haven’t, and compare that to whatever the 5th round pick that secured Rattler… sheesh. And we could have all that value playing other positions. ILB cough cough. Just looking at the 1st and the 2nd from 2023, not the next year number 1 or the next year’s 2nd, and whatever value DJ Moore could be assigned… One chart has #1 at 3000, number 59 at 310. Pick 150? 31 Edit: One way to see it is, for just the first two picks we gave up we could spend a pick in the 5th round for 100 Years.
  16. I think I said at the time that I had never seen such bad quarterbacking as Mayfield’s opening quarter, half, however long it was before he sort of regrouped. Then we got Bryce.
  17. Boy you sure set me straight. More years of Bryce on a rookie contract is the solution to not having Mahomes or Allen? I could have improved the team simply by drafting a Spencer Rattler in the 5th round last year and dealt with his rookie contract for millions less and gotten better quarterbacking. That is the truth, sad as it is.
  18. I was gonna say they did not give those others anywhere near the investment around them. Nor the long leash. Think about what each of them could do with the amount of investment in their protection and weapons.
  19. I said 6 last year. Gave into optimism. Ask me in two weeks but today I would say 2 maybe. Based on performance in the first two. I think they will get better and maybe make 5 or 6.
  20. I think Bryce needed a QB shouter not a whisperer. Louder and more urgent. Like a drill Sgt.
  21. Wow. I still can’t pick the Panthers with 2 starters down on the OL and the way they have played. The offense is poo pretty much. Whether it stinks a lot or a little it is still going to stink. I say this with the understanding that they could surprise.
  22. I felt like this season was over back in 2023. Game 1. I hate that I am being serious.
  23. Btw I am glad this came up because it is a good story. I guess that is subjective but I liked it.
