  1. Also, since this is the game thread I’ll put this here about Wallace. Help me out. Am I the only one that watches his post game videos and get the impression that he is happier than he should be after having his ass handed to him where the defense gave up 38 points? Because that is what he seems like. Totally fine, not pissed off, is what I see. Like it was good enough. Two weeks in a row it is like that. Someone tell me that he actually is pissed and not just fuging happy to get a paycheck win or lose, and I am misinterpreting his demeanor. Say it with a straight face.
  2. He held out? Lol. I am still confused with all this high finance and the cap rules. It accelerates immediately to our cap except whatever future salary he is due, right? And we are in for 2 more years of the prorated bonus. This year’s signing bonus portion is already accounted for in the cap but then we have to take 6.15 more on this year and 6 .15 next year or would it be all 12, subject maybe to deferment with the June 1st. If we trade him the salary and roster bonuses go with him, right? He is not yet a vested vet so he has to clear waivers if we want to just dump him, wouldn’t he? Can’t unconditionally release him can we? Heh - that little fuger has us over a barrel coming and going. lol again, has a number one overall pick ever been waived in year two?
  3. If he stays on the team he may get to 5th by years end. 11 games left.
  4. With you excluding you know who. He needs to go anywhere else, for any return or no return. What is the point of having him in a competition he can’t win? Tank his value further. Maybe. Let him prove someone else wrong.
  5. It was a Jets home game with the refs helping them some and the interim coach bump in play. The better team won somehow.
  6. And the less aggravated I will be. So tired of the excuse making that still happens daily. Thanks to Canales for not playing him Sunday.
  7. We had our one player bump already. Bryce Young starting for you, you are in take one player away mode.
  8. They seem like they have been extra careful and I am betting unless he has some kind of setback we will see him in a couple of weeks.
  9. The Tepper I have observed for 7 long years or whatever it is, would never have accepted benching his draft folly that quick. So he has changed in one area at least a little. Or seems to be trying to.
  10. That was my attitude and the reason I wasn't even upset about the preseason stuff. We had the whole year to practice. I knew it. Others did but they can't stick to it when the games start. I mean I love to win a game as much as anyone and am never unhappy about that but we knew what we were in store for.
  11. Probably be more of a tag and trade if it goes that far. Interesting to me that Canales did not reject out of hand a trade deadline question about Chuba being moved, like he seemed to with Johnson. Any cheap FA vet would be okay afaic, we've done okay at that. Let's find a Mike Tolbert.
  12. I don't how they grade but there are a lot of times it doesn't match up with what I thought I saw. And this is for sure one of those times. Aside for the grading, we got called for a bullshit roll block or whatever they call it these days (he went into the guy shoulder to waist at least, got defeated and pushed down and THAT was called, as if he just went low to start with). And on my rewatch they clearly did it to our player on the other side of the same play. I think it was 77 they went low just like that on.
  13. Seeing him as only 4 points better than Mingo, that is not a reliable grading system they are using.
  14. Obviously, the worst thing would be to force it just because of need. I only would accept using a high pick like that again on a QB if Canales swore by him. And just because, in these circumstances, that should be his call.
  15. People said it was weak in 2023. Like the people in 2022 were saying about 2023 (which it was, except for Stroud). This is why we should wait for the season to play out. Players at that age (and experience level) can make non linear leaps in a fairly short time.
  16. Learning year, all rookies get one.
  17. I think we hit bottom in 2023 and in game three of 2024 started the long climb away from that. It has definitely been a steady year by year decline under Tepper's 'leadership'. Un-arguable.
  18. It might. The extreme selfish factor, ego, whatever it is... if passed on, is not suited for a team leader which QB must be. Not saying that 100% of the time, it is like father like son, just mostly it is.
  19. I think this is the year we really confirm or deny his learning curve. If he overbears and doesn't stay back this year after all the last few years, he never will.
  20. The complaining about the complaining has been way out of hand, now in year two.
  21. I might argue that it takes a lot more than Daniels to make up for that lol. But I won't.
  22. I can understand being off on a guy with the right qualifications. I don't claim to be able to pick the best one when it is close. I wasn't all in on Cam because of that play calling system they had at Auburn with him, and my old school pocket QB values. But the 1st game that counted, I knew that was wrong. Passing on Young was a gimme if you know the NFL game, and really even if you don't know it that well. I never for one second felt wrong on that one.
  23. I'd actually completely agree with you except I am 100% against drafting offense again. Unless Canales is really sold and I think I'd have to defer to that even as strongly as I am against more for them at the expense of the defense.
  24. Again, if you were a Bryce stan for 2023, I'd appreciate you owning up to it right next to the new prognostications of greatness for a college player. Asterisk time.
