  1. Evero supposed to be the next big thing. Rhule was supposed to be the next big thing. Bryce was supposed to be the next big thing. I think the thing is that David Tepper just keeps falling for hype trains. This guy is going to try to trade EVERYTHING for Arch Manning. LOL
  2. Yep. Plenty of us said it at the time. Edges started flying off the board and we made a panic move to over-draft an older prospect who hadn't done much producing.
  3. I think they know what they have (or don't have) in him so they wanted a better look at other guys. Based on what I saw in these two games if you can't make this roster you need to be working on your resume because professional football ain't for you.
  4. A few meaningless wins at the end of lost seasons ranking draft position is certainly another hallmark of the Tepper era and yet every year we have a good chunk of the fanbase trying to convince themselves that it's building "winning culture". It's building a wall around this chasm of suck is what it's doing.
  5. I doubt he'll get a chance with a different QB. Tepper has one helluva itchy trigger finger with HCs. If we decide it's time to move on from Bryce he'll probably decide it's time to move on from Canales too.
  6. NFL coaching circles run deep. Many probably haven't forgotten how he just unceremoniously tossed Rivera to the side like that either. You have Ron getting fired before the end of the season, Reich getting fired literally mid-season in his first year here, Wilkes getting passed over when he did well as interim. I mean, he's got a lot of strikes against him.
  7. I'm sure all the hype Sanders is getting for looking good against our sorry asses irks him but by all reports he's ahead of Sanders on their depth chart which is all he really needs to be focusing on
  8. I hope that last round of hirings showed Tepper that he's put his organization in a place where his wish lists have to start where everyone else's end. Anyone with other options is going with the other option. Especially after he likely got a good talking to about just throwing out insane contracts after the Rhule hire.
  9. And therein lies the key issue. It's not at all like game conditions. In the actual game conditions they've looked atrocious so far.
  10. I can only go off what I've seen and what I've seen ain't good. I understand there's been positive reports out of joint trainings etc. but when they've taken the field and I've had a chance to lay eyes on them, oh wee mayne.
  11. I hope you're right but I think you're setting yourself up for a massive disappointment. I'm done doing that to myself with this team.
  12. I mean, certainly seems this way. We all keep hoping for a turnaround but y'all I'm just not seeing it. Maybe this year will be the year where the preseason doesn't matter and we flip a switch and magically look competent come the regular season but I wouldn't bet a dime on it.
  13. You do this for Panthers games in the Tepper era? I think I'd rather do this for fun
  14. https://x.com/NFL/status/1956808798846259555?t=CWGHrrfRhB5Ergraf5yj6Q&s=19 interesting comment there
  15. On the positive side, he'll have access to actual good games to watch unlike the folks relying on local programming.
  16. I'm not surprised it ended up being something more severe than just simple overheating. When I am saw that he'd been taken to the hospital I was like... that's weird. I would assume they'd have everything they need there at team facilities to handle simple overheating. I mean, the treatment is basically to sit there and chill out, maybe get a hydration IV. That's about it.
  17. Yikes. Poor guy. That had to be scary as hell. Everyone trying to convince him he's just overheated and here he is like "nah man, I'm telling y'all I'm from Texas, Texas heat ain't new to me. I can't fuging breathe."
  18. Depth hell. Our starters look like trash too. LOL
  19. Yeah, we can't just keep churning and burning through coaches. If we want any hope of not becoming an absolute last resort destination we basically have to ride it out with Canales until the entire sports world is asking why this guy hasn't been fired yet.
  20. I hadn't flown through CLT in awhile but I landed yesterday to a message from the mayor bragging about the vibrant culture and "great sports teams" and I was like WTF??!! They really bragging about Charlotte's sports teams??? C'mon...
  21. At least with players in the draft they don't have much choice. But I think we found ourselves in a situation where were left scraping the bottom of the barrel for HC and GM talent. I don't think anyone out there really had Canales and Morgan as legit HC and GM candidates but our lists have to start where everyone else's end.
  22. Rookie pass rushers usually aren't impact players. That's all I'm saying. Good grief man...
  23. I mean, given how we've utterly failed at building a competent football organization and how terrible Mayfield looked here before rebounding in Tampa... yeah, not sure if I'd call that a "real chance". If Bryce bombs again this season I almost hope he goes somewhere else and proves to be legit. Like damn, yeah it's really time to just move on. Tepper killed it.
  24. Not looking promising. I'll wait to see if we magically flip the switch in the regular season but we've been hoping for that for years now. My hope is gone.
  25. I said the final score of the preseason. Dude, I get it. You didn't want to draft T-Mac and you really wanted a pass rusher. I'm just saying that your odds of finding a true impact pass rusher at #9 in this year's draft was slim to none. Hell, I wanted Jalon Walker too. But I'm not gonna crash out over and over about it. I said before the draft that I wasn't I wasn't in love with any particular prospect but if it was my call I'd draft Walker, but I understand it if T-Mac is the pick.
