I don't think so. Dan is not a bad coach and Washington could have done much worse. But like all coaches it will depend on his drafting prowess and his assistant coaches choices. I hope he kicks Dallas's ass twice a year.

Rebuilding, not retooling. There's no tools to retool. The only tool on the team is Tepper.

Either way this team needs to build an offense whether Young is the future or not. The next 2 offseasons should be dedicated to doing just that.

We could trade him and Burns to the Rams as a package deal. The would make everyone happy.

Most of our issues have been bad drafting and poor cap management. Then coaching staff or the lack thereof. The only way to fix this is with better decision making by the FO. If that is improved it will shorten the time it would take for the coaching staff to make something out of this mess.

Bad GM's has been our main problem.

Scouts don't push anyone. They just present their ranking based on what the team is looking for. Fitterer still chose who he wanted. If the scouts made the selection then what did they need Fitterer for?

TMJ has been a disappointment and should have been cut already. Chark hasn't been worth our time or wasn't part of whatever plan they had based on his usage. Neither should be part of the future but may be necessary to keep due to lack of options available in the offseason. Both should be replaced at the earliest opportunity. I would take my chances with UDFA's over both of them.

It's not the scouts. It's who makes the decisions on who to draft.

That would be great if it came true. They will have to hit on all their acquisitions and Young would have to play up to his potential to get more than 5 I'm afraid. I would not be surprised to see them have the same or barely better record next season. Dan will have to make better decisions than has been made in prior years. It's going to take awhile to correct that even if he wasn't necessarily responsible for the bad decisions made by his bosses. It's going to take time. I'm ready for it if that is what really happens. I'm skeptical Tepper has the patience to see it through. I know most fans don't have it.

Yeah he has everything against him right now. His biggest problem is a crappy roster and little assets to change it. No amount of Rah Rah speeches can overcome that. Most fans will get all hyped up thinking he will turn it around this year and we have a shot to make the playoffs. When it doesn't happen he will be enemy #1, especially if Bryce continues to suck.

That I agree with. You will see some fight at first. How long they will retain the will to fight after the loses start to pile up is another thing.

Where he and Dan start investing cap money will go a long way in turning this team around. This team is in no shape or form of handing franchise money to anyone. It's way to void of talent to pay $30M contracts in one player. They need multiple players for that money. Or they can continue the Marty Hurney way and tie up cap in one player hoping they live up to it.

It's best to not get excited about any of this. This team is a couple of seasons away from knowing how any of these moves will pan out.

As long as you pay their salary during this hiatus I'm sure they wouldn't complain too much.

Probably looking for compensation for his services most likely.

I really cannot understand what the plan was when they drafted him. His size added so many challenges to a rookies development as it was. His throwing velocity was only a couple mph lower than Stroud's, but you cannottell it. His deep throw was about 7-10 yards less than Stroud's. I think 55 compared to about 65 air yards, but it looks much worse. His mechanics, or throwing motion was all over the place, but he was the most pro ready, supposedly. Not to mention the size difference. It's like his off script plays out weighed everything else. Whatever they were thinking it certainly didn't work out.

I'm not sure I can stomach listening to anything he has to say anymore. I would rather he never show his face again to be honest. Pay the bills. Show up at the game and stay in his suite. Other than that he can piss off.

A 1st round pick for his services and his contract sounds fair to me.
