If it weren't for the egos of the people who would have to make this decision, this would absolutely be the move.

But admitting you traded multiple firsts, and passed up on Stroud for a #1 overall pick that couldn't even play his way through 3 NFL seasons? That would take a level of humility that our brain trust are just not capable of.

Yep so instead they double down on their stupidity and we all suffer.

I haven’t paid attention to ESPN for years now, so I didn’t know Dan was a fan.  But, considering how he ended that video, I was a little perturbed with his optimistic ending because you literally just showed him throw to get the receiver smoked multiple times, being completely unaware of the defender lurking - both in the pick and the last throw to Renfrow.  How many times does a guy have to do that for it to not be considered “not characteristic” anymore?  Bc Bryce has been doing it for 3 years now.

Those trash QBs must stick together, it’s like a brotherhood of failure.

Legette, who struggled with drops as a rookie, confirmed Canales’ assessment.

“Anytime the ball’s in the air, those plays, they’ve gotta be made,” he said. “I’ve just gotta do a better (job) realizing where I am on the field, dragging my foot. Get better at those things.”

Legette isn’t long for this league; atleast as a WR. What he’s speaking on is stuff a receiver shouldn’t have to speak on, or have taught to them at this point in their careers.

I like Legette. He’s got a lot of work to do. He’s so far behind in development. His ceiling at this point is a WR like Devin Funchess, and much more was expected from him with where he was drafted

Man, how happy would I be with a somewhat consistent middling WR like Funch or Donald Lafell right now

  4. What bothers me more than the 4th down blunder or his inability to slide and overall carelessness with the football, is that every. single. play, Bryce switches something at the line, or redirects a WR or blocker with about 4 seconds on the play clock, then claps in desperation to get the snap before the delay of game penalty.  Every. single. play.

It's mind boggling he's this out of sync, or the communication between he and DC is that broken.  Something like this can be fixed in an off-season, or TC, or even pre-season if DC elected to call plays and put Bryce in the game.  But we know that doesn't happen here.

  5. For some reason, over the years since 18/19, there seems to be an association that if you play for Carolina, you collect your check, half ass it, get pats on the back and positive press from the F.O., and then you either fade into obscurity because you're a jag, or you leave and prosper under a system with better leadership, one that is holding players accountable and getting much more out of the player who coasted at Carolina.

Whatever option eliminates this stench, this "culture", whatever the hell it is, sign me up for that.  My thinking is, unfortunately, as long as Tepper is here, the leadership layers beneath him will be the cucks of the NFL.  But if he truly steps back, then you have to can Morgan definitely with the possibility of trashing Canales too, if he (Canales) being here clouds the next GM hire.  But seriously, what great football mind(s) and talent evaluator/developer combo wants to come here?  We're stuck with scraping the bottom of the barrel when hiring season rolls around.

I’m sorry man but I’m still not 100% sold on him. He clearly is our best WR but that’s not saying much. My worry is still separating. He got no space on the almost TD. In college he can make those contested catches but it’s not the same in the pros. Easy TD if he’s got even a little separation, but the CB was able to grab his left arm around his back. Thats how close the CB was.

I think he’ll be our #1, but I need to see more separation to feel like he was worth pick 8.

He's had one real pro game.  I don't know about you, but I saw enough raw talent yesterday to convince me he's a stud at the NFL level, as long as he continues to work on his game.  I'm sold.
