He never said he didn't want to be here. Believe what you want, but it's an assumption not really based in fact. But, whatever works for you. On one hand you're criticizing the FO for not getting long term deals agreed upon before the trade is made, and, at the same time criticizing the player for supposedly not wanting to be here.

Rantaanen didn't do anything wrong. He didn't ask for a trade in the first place, and he didn't ask to be traded from Carolina. Will/can the Canes keep him? He's an RFA, and barring a QO from another team, he'll likely stay. But it does beg the question, how hard will Carolina fight to keep him if someone else is interested? And, as with a few other past experiences, does he want to stay?

What little I saw of last night's game and all of tonight's, the bad officiating has shown up again. Certainly a few embellishments and a couple of BS penalties that just didn't happen.
