On one hand you're criticizing the FO for not getting long term deals agreed upon before the trade is made, and, at the same time criticizing the player for supposedly not wanting to be here.

Rantaanen didn't do anything wrong. He didn't ask for a trade in the first place, and he didn't ask to be traded from Carolina.
