At this point, we all get it. You have a very strong dislike for Miller. So much so that not seeing him on the ice you think this is the best D in the league. So much so that even when he does play a complete game, you don't give him credit. Even Taylor Hall said to Tripp the other night that it takes almost an entire season to figure out and get comfortable within the system.

Allowing 23 shots on goal, a lot of grade A's and Utah spending almost the entirety of the 2nd period in their offensive zone is nothing to write home about. Freddie had an outstanding afternoon, but the Canes were only 1 shot from being in a tie game for nearly 35 minutes.

Never seen a team have such a hard time scoring on empty nets, but lead the league in short-handed goals.

Best part of the game is the players in the booth w/Mike & Tripp.

Canes are 6-2-0 against Vejmelka all time.

One of the few times you'll see the other team favored. Who knows, Utah may sit guys, too. And they just clinched a playoff spot Thursday, so they may have a little let-down.

Legault will almost certainly slot in for Chatfield who was injured Tuesday night and is listed as day-to-day. Pull this out and inch another 2 points closer to Eastern Conference champ and a big home ice advantage. Point of interest: Buffalo and Anaheim are the only 2 teams in the NHL without a shootout loss this season. Utah has no shootout wins or losses.... 8 OT games without a shootout. Buffalo has Columbus tonite, @ Chicago Monday and Dallas Wednesday TB is @ Montreal tonite, @ Boston Saturday, Detroit Monday and the Rags Wednesday. So, either TB or Montreal is getting to 104 pts tonite regardless. Be nice to see Columbus keep Buffalo at bay tonite.

Thanks for bringing receipts. I appreciate the facts, but they are a stark contrast to what we see on the ice, but maybe, as I've said before, his "aw sh!t" moments just seem to weigh heavier than his "attaboy" moments.

We're not on opposite sides of the deal. I was willing to give him a season to get this figured out and... he hasn't figured it out. And the Canes are going into the playoffs with a defensive liability on their hands. And it's not like you can healthy scratch a $7.5M D-man for Legault or Nystrom without telling the world your GM made an expensive mistake. I'd almost rather see Reilly at this point. He's was playing much better filling in when Ghost was down.
