Fug the Chiefs. Now that the Pat's are irrelevant, I can start hoping for a KC loss every week.

Mahomes has officially replaced Brady as the biggest crybaby to the refs, and will get plenty of calls this season.

Can't really blame them. The NHL doesn't schedule the NC State Fair which coincides with the opening first couple of weeks of the season.

Having grown up on and in the Southern California music scene of the late 60s into the 70's, when I got roped into a Buffet concert around 2005 in Raleigh, it was a rented bus of "Parrotheads." In other words, a bunch of pasty, white, upper middle class guys whose wives let them drink beer like college kids as long as they were wearing Hawaiian shirts and flip flops. I mean, I guess it's okay music for whatever it is, but not necessarily my taste. Especially not the crowd I enjoy. But, hey, respect the guy and him turning it into a franchise. There were some country artists who tried to get into that genre (Zac Brown, Kenny Chesney) with a few tunes and they worked, so there definitely is a following.

I'm not the least bit surprised CU can't tackle anyone. It's not like Prime ever tackled anyone.

I have to say, there really are no slouches in that starting group. Even Carter Hart, despite the Flyers having a garbage D in front of him.

Not even a top 4 on my PF list. Although groundbreaking, commercially huge and a seminal album for a kid like me at 17 when it came out, radio just beat "Time" and "Money" to death in Southern California. But Wish You Were Here, Meddle, Wall and Animals are my top 4; and they interchange where on that list depending on where I'm at musically/mentally on any given day. Hell, I didn't sit down with my Koss Pro IV-X headphones and critically and appreciatively listen to it until the 90s. One cannot "get" PF unless they listen to an entire release, front to back, in order.

It was 50 years ago Pink Floyd released one of the quintessential albums of all time in Dark Side of the Moon. October 13, Pink Floyd/Warner Music will release a remastered edition of the epic title in Vinyl, CD and blu-ray. Coincidentally (?), Roger Waters is releasing Dark Side of the Moon Redux, which is a complete re-interpretation of the entire album on his own terms. My personal favorite off the album. I have 2 copies of the vinyl, one still sealed brand new and a second I play.

Congratulations to you. I've always believed it's not really work when you actually enjoy what you're doing and, at the end of the day, know you've helped someone.

Not buying it, especially when your under-sized, #1 overall pick QB is ultimately paying the price for the failed experiments (Icky, MJ)... "Hey, Bryce, just wanted to let you know we're going to be experimenting with some things on the O-line. Oh, and, look, you may get snot-lockered a few times along the way. But, hey, trust the process."

My first encounter with Trex many years ago on Lake Norman when we docked at what is now Eddie's, I stepped onto the dock barefoot and blistered a foot. If you think the boards are expensive, wait til you see the prices for the clips and screws.

Metal will run you about 2.5-3x more than a shingle roof. I have a workshop in the backyard that has a black metal roof and we thought it would be a nice upgrade. It was originally priced with PT wood decking and a shingle roof start to finish at $34k. Upgraded to Trex decking, metal roof and added a second set of steps and a second doorway. Complete labor & material is $41k.

Contractors started mine about 3 weeks ago. Removed the deck in 4 hours, 16x20 screened porch going up: Trex decking, vinyl sleeved posts, vinyl step railing, metal roof. The siding inside the porch will be a metal vertical board-on-board. 55" outdoor TV on the front wall between the windows and dog door. Waiting on the siding, then ceiling can go in. Aluminum guy will wrap everything, install screen and 2 doors. Gables will be done with gray siding removed from the house.

I get what you're saying and, for the most part you're right. But don't call me out for using one example while using one example yourself. Fact is, Rodgers is starting against the Giants this week. NHL, like the NFL preseason- I just hope no one gets hurt.

With but a few exceptions, this really isn't true at all. Now there are 3 preseason games in the NFL and, for the most part, starters from each team have seen significant time on the field. Even Patrick Mahomes has been out there quite a bit.

Makes zero sense. If there are no extension talks with Skjei and/or Pesce, the reality is this works in favor of the Canes for the upcoming season. Both will be playing for big free agent money and their performance on the ice this season will have plenty of GMs watching. Short-sighted thinking, I know, but it is what it is. I've come to accept that neither will be here after this coming season.
