  1. Rodgers went on McAfee's show last week and made a crack about Jimmy Kimmel's name being on Jeffrey Epstein's list. It was not a subtle jab, either. It was a pretty brutal statement. Keep in mind that ESPN is a Disney property, as is ABC, where Jimmy Kimmel's show is. Then, on Rodger's segment on the McAfee show earlier this week, Rodgers went full-blown conspiracy theorist, tin foil hat BS. Really over the top, Trump style crap: I loved to watch Rodgers play QB, but this shows what a real dick this guy is. Fug right the hell off, AR.
  2. He didn't do anything that hasn't been done by many other schools in the SEC and Big 10. The only reason the NCAA went after him is because it was the Pac 10 (at the time), they don't get TV coverage on the east coast because they play late Saturday night games, they already have 11 national titles, and the SEC and Big 10 had to be protected. If you honestly believe teams like Alabama, LSU, and several other perennial powerhouses weren't doing the same thing, I don't know what to tell you. I just find it very odd that Alabama was never even sniffed at for recruiting violations.
  3. One need look no further than this statement he made live to Pat McAfee on his show December 21: "Excellence has a price and it doesn't come easy.. you gotta pay for it up front too." Saban finally admits that Alabama players are getting paid and, now, with the NIL and transfer portal, the school can no longer compete with those wallets and checkbooks.
  4. I'd love to know how that second line looked in practice. That may be the most sandpaper RBA has ever put on the ice. None of those 3 are afraid to mix it up.
  5. While your comment rings through the fog that was the CFP process the last few years, let's not casually look beyond the dissolving of the Pac-12; the Big 10 becoming the Big 20, or whatever it looks like; apparently being a part of a "Power 5" doesn't matter anymore; how much the transfer portal is simply looking like collegiate free agency with the NIL in place, and a 12-team tournament next year. The end of college football as we've known it for decades is officially nothing but history now. For the record, I have no allegiance to any NCAA team and could not have cared less who won last night. But I can tell you this with a fairly decent amount of certainty- Georgia would have clocked either of those teams last night, and likely any of the 4 teams in the tourney. Mark my words- in about 5 years, there will be but 3 "conferences" with about 15-20 teams each that will rule the land and the CFP. The transfer portal and NIL have ensured that the already rich schools will get richer and those smaller FBS schools.... well.... you're left begging for the scraps and maybe a chance to schedule a power house school just too make a few bucks for getting your asses kicked.
  6. Suffice to say this team has no business getting into shootouts. If they get possession of the OT faceoff, there's no reason a Canes 3 on 3 shouldn't be able to win it in short order. Maybe instead of shootout attempts they should be working on winning faceoffs, which has taken a major step back this season.
  7. 100% agree. Been watching this game for 50+ years and there's nothing about BY's game that gives me any reason to believe he's an NFL QB.
  8. There are a sh!t ton of QBs who were once upon a time on the Carolina roster who I would welcome back as a better option than who's there now. What did Ron Rivera used to say? "He (insert player name) gives us the best chance to win." If that's the philosophy of most NFL coaches, why did Andy Dalton stand on the sidelines all year, given the most offensive production the Panthers had all year, until the Green Bay game, was the game Andy Dalton started.
  9. Standings as of Sunday, January 7 Anybodyhome- 4 Harbingers- 3 Panthers Fan 69- 2 WelshPanther- 2 MillionDollarCam- 1 BY9Franchise- 1 DavidEng- 1
  10. Rags lost in a shootout as well, so no gained ground there.
  11. RBA's SO lineup has me scratching my head.... Burns first? Martinook before Jarvis?
  12. Carolina is 4-5 in OT/SO this year. Neither of the goalies have been good in shootouts. If the Canes don't win in regulation, odds are less than 50% they'll win in OT and even lower in the SO. Carolina on consecutive nights, left it all out there. Binnington played very well and Carolina had no puck luck around the net.
  13. Need this one. The Rags just lost in a shootout to Montreal. Canes can pick up a point.
  14. DavidEng and Anybodyhome are winners tonight. DavidEng makes the leaderboard!
  15. Damn..... can't give Justin Faulk my regards tonight. He's on IR.
  16. C'mon guys. Gotta make those picks before puck drop. If I don't see a post before puck drop, it won't count.
  17. So..... the Caps scored twice in the first on 8 shots. Jus' sayin.' Regardless, there aren't many goalies going both games of a B2B these days. Even the teams with a questionable #2 net-minder.
  18. Can't fault RBA. I always assumed this would be the case, and I think it'll be that way until something or someone forces a change. If it ain't broke- don't fix it.
  19. Guess what...? For those of you going to the game tonight... our good friend, Justin Faulk, is now on the Blues roster. Give him hell, please.
  20. Anyone besides me think TDA might be trade bait? He's playing once a week (maybe) and last night he had a grand total of 3:53 TOI and I didn't see him at all after the first Caps goal. Harbs pointed out his unwillingness to get into a board battle, and almost immediately resulted in the opening goal by Dowd. Again, Harbs saw it live and I watched the re-air of the game this morning and saw just how lazy he got and didn't even make an honest effort to clear the puck. I'm sure RBA parked his butt after that.
  21. Oh, I completely agree. Maybe that's why he spent most of the night on the bench after that. 3:53 TOI last night
