There’s isn’t a contradiction because even with putrid interior oline play the ints from sam weren’t because of that, I can advocated for upgrades on the o line and still expect my qb not to gift wrap pro bowl tickets to opposing dbs whenever the few times the o line holds up

Yeah idk why it’s hard for them to see that the ints the last two games have just been boneheaded plays that plagued Sam in NY. if it was truly the o line Id call them out, which they are horrible in the interior but they are not the reason for the 3 ints yesterday

you can do both, they are not mutually exclusive but a qb gift wrapping ints to cbs anytime he sense the slightest bit of pressure is a big red flag, very Rex grossman lite. if Sam eats the sack or throwaway the football on those plays where he threw egregious ints we walk away with a W, can’t still be doing that in year 3-4

He ain’t wrong but any nfl qb can succeed with good oline play, we need a guy who can do that but also not cost us the game whenever the o line is outmatched, drew Brees said it best last night on mnf, can’t turn the ball over that much when the defense is playing at the time lights out, those short fields we kept giving the eagles finally cost us the game, and a fugging punt block in week 5 of the season is inexcusable

Any excuse that involves not having cmc is invalid IMO, second year this staff has had to win games without him and they look lost on offense when he’s not in, cmc is great and damn sure hard to replace but the offense shouldn’t look this bad when he’s out.

You can say what you want about the o line they are cheeks but that doesn’t excuse throwing int straight to dbs, a punt is 10x better than a turnover and giving the opponent a short field. he’s also locked on to his first read a lot the last two games. I’m willing to wait but if I had to bet this is what your going to get from Sam at this point, feast or famine

I mean idk how the evaluation for Sam went but have to questions what tuned them off about fields but what made them think Sam was the answer after looking at his film

Right when I thought Sam was the answer, I’m going to cut bait on that take, should look for yet another upgrade during the off-season barring some miraculous 12 game stretch of excellent play by him, pressure or not he’s just locking in to his primary read and all of his ints were straight to the dbs.
