There were ‘concerns’ about Aaron Rodgers. Joe Montana. Mahomes. there were concerns with the Ravens QB too some coaches are smarter (or luckier) than others I hope you are right. However, Rhule needs to show me. After years with Panthers coaches and PR pablum from the front office: Bill parcell’s ‘you are what your record says you are’ is the best motto in the nfl.

Truthfully, I’m not convinced that Rhule really understands the need and importance at QB1 or how to play the NFL game AND Nfl MIND GAMES to get one this isn’t college where you can make someone be something they aren’t by ‘coaching them up’.

No one gets a 5 year honeymoon in the NFL, No one He will get 3 at best, and in that three year period, he best have solved the QB1 situation if the Panthers have any hope of being more than a middle of the pack team, in other words, not relevant… …and not relevant isn’t going to get a new stadium built or sustain fan interest

I loved Luke. How could any fan not ? he had lost a step. It was obvious to him and everyone and that’s why he left because even with a lost step he was still better than 99% but not to his standards, and, of course, his health there will never be another Luke, never it hurts to see him in Bills gear but he is a grown man. He can do what he wants I don’t know about Tepper I really don’t care for him much but it doesn’t matter I can buy into what he sells or walk away. In this case, imho, it had little to do with Luke’s decision other than ancillary

It does only because Fields was sitting there for Rhule to take, he didn’t it’s not like this franchise has had many franchise QB1s, so passing on a potential one, particularly one with the athletic skill to make up for a poor line, for someone who was PFF’s what, 39th ranked starting nfl QBs, doesn’t inspire confidence These QB decisions in a QB driven league will define Rhule’s tenor in Charlotte or how long that tenor might be. who knows, maybe Darnold is an incognito QB1 and Rhule is a genius. Time will tell
