It's impossible to see where the ball was on that Tush Push. just too many bodies on top of Maye to see where the ball was! IN that case you have to stick with the call on field, you can't overturn it if you can't see the ball.

I feel bad for him in a way. If he doesn't get a big name in free agency this isn't the greatest draft to get hits on. For one, we're drafting much lower than we usually do. And this draft is pretty light on top end talent overall. There are a lot of question marks with the pass rushers in general. Some solid LBs but none of them outside of Sonny Styles stands out to me. And he should be long gone by the time we pick, unless we trade up to leapfrog the Cowboys or Buccaneers.

That was a dicey looking Tush Push by the Patriots. hmmm

Kind of an interesting alternate history, if the Cowboys beat the 49ers in that 1994 season NFCCG, they likely are the only NFL team to ever 4 peat the Super Bowl
-
Barry Switzer won as HC for the Cowboys in his 2nd year in the 1995 NFL Season Cowboys won the SB with Jimmy Johnson in 1992 and 1993, then the 49ers won in 1994 (Switzers' first season with the Cowboys, they lost in the NFCCG to the 49ers), then the Cowboys won it again in 1995 which was Switzer's 2nd year coaching them.

Has a head coach in his first year with a team ever won a super bowl?? Like Vrabel is for the Pats this season?

BOTH Kickers miss field goals before halfitime!! LOLLLLLLLLL
-
Broncos kicker misses a kick lol. Eat poo ponies. still 7-7

There was a story about Bryce's dad wanting Legette before the draft that year . Bryce strongly vouched for Tmac (who admittedly is actually good). Steve Smith vouched for drafting Jonathon Mingo. All I'm saying is they are very susceptible to outside infulince other than the actual GM. Even Bryce was probably much more of a Tepper pick than Fitterer being in love with him. Lot of different voices influencing draft picks is what I'm seeing. and many of them aren't qualified scouts lol.

Stidham almost with another turnover there
-
Step 1 : Offer blank check to Devin Lloyd (LB from Jacksonville) Step 2: Offer blank check to Trey Hendrickson (EDGE from Cinci) Step 3 : Offer sizable deal to Jaelan Phillips (EDGE from Philly) IF you can't get ANY of these 3 individuals. You draft BPA Edge or interior LB in R1
-
they got the TD anyway pretty quickly
-
Drake May runs it in for the first TD for New England. 7 Pats, 7 Ponies. That Stidham backwards pass turnover totally changed the game.
-
Oof. That's the one thing that Stidham can't do is turn the ball over, as a backup QB. Patriots got the ball back close to the end zone!!

I think Dan Morgan is well aware that our team's biggest weaknesses are interior LB and pass rusher. He'll probably make those two positions a priority this off season, also getting a serviceable LT to replace Ickey with depending on the severity of his injury/return timetable.

You have to keep throwing darts until you get enough hits at pass rusher. Obviously, what would help us the most would be trying to draft 1 in R1 or trading /signing a big name in free agency. We've been drafting offense in R1 for 4 out of the past 5 years, and getting role players as FA pass rushers. It's not really rocket science why we have a lack of pass rush. The Panthers simply haven't made it a priority over other positions. They've been mostly focusing on building a good offense around Bryce. Getting Scourton and Princely in R2 and R3 last year was a good start, but most pass rushers outside of R1 selections usually take years to develop into consistent threats. Falcons spent 2 first rounders on edge last year and basically solved their pass rush in one off season. It can be done. We could easily sign Trey Hendrickson and draft Cassius Howell/TJ Parker/Keldrick Faulk. Hit on one of those two and pair them with Scourton and you probably have a good pass rush. Hit on 2 of them and you have a great pass rush.

There's a ton of interesting Backkup- Level QBs that you could take a stab at in later rounds in the draft this year Everyone was thinking this would be a great QB class a year ago and most of them didn't end up being great. Which means there's going to be a lot of them still on the board in the mid to late rounds. Ex. Drew Allar, Cade Klubnik, Garrett Nussmier, Carson Beck, Trindidad Chambliss, Diego Pavia, Joey Aguilar none of them really jump off the screen but there's always a chance you could get a diamond in the rough.

I think Cortland Sutton just isn't that good. He's supposed to be Denver's leading WR #1 but I've seen him drop a number of passes in their playoff games this year.
-
I consistently see other NFL teams hit gigantic deep shots downfield and we rarely ever see Bryce do that. His lack of physical traits can be so fuging frustrating we have to sit and watch him barely dink and dunk downfield most games
-
Yep, and we picked Horn, who falls down on those time and time again. From what I remember Surtain was considered the safer of the two CB picks as well to make. I can't remember why the Panthers picked Horn over him. Maybe they thought Horn had a higher ceiling or more potential. That was a halmark of the Rhule/Fitterer era. Betting on traits instead of straight up solid and consistent production.
-
Perfect defense on 2nd and long by Pat Surtain. Wow.
-
that WR screen was going nowhere. I have no idea why those play calls are so popular
-
Considering the Patriots and the Broncos are the two teams we lost Super Bowls to, I really don't want either of these fuging teams to win. Seattle vs LA Rams is my super bowl, personally lol

Top 5 draft targets for positions of need
Hoenheim replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't get this love affair with the tight end from Oregon. Get an OT or LB or Pass rusher. Nothing else really makes sense where we're going to be picking We already have solid TEs and Sadiq isn't some generational TE prospect. Even if he was, there's a decent change for him being not successful or being mid at best (See Kyle Pitts, OJ Howard).
