If Cam is serious about playing football, I'm sure the USFL wouldn't mind having him. Try to bring ratings for them and compete with the NFL. Or you could use the USFL as a tryout for NFL teams next year.

Somebody asked if Stroud and Young were the same size, would it be any question who was the number one pick. For me, I would still go with Stroud because I favor his style of play. That's not to say Young is a scrambler or anything like that, but he is more big play ball. I like the guy who is more methodical. A 10 yard pass here, a slant there. Just someone who gets under the opposing defense's skin. Above all else, as I said of Stroud before, throwing is effortless for him. There is nothing like a skill that is second nature, and Stroud's skill is throwing. So can I live with it as a Panther's fan if we don't pick him and Young struggles. It would be like for me, the same feeling I had when Tom Brady threw those three miracle bombs to Mike Evans to end our run for the playoffs. I was asking myself what in the living heck are we doing out there? How can we let this happen? All you had to do was put a safety over the top, and it wasn't like Mike Evans was the fastest guy in the world. (I still want to dump CJ Henderson and Keith Taylor from this team for their transgressions LOL!) If we pick Young and he bombs, I'm going to be thinking 'What are we doing'? I wouldn't feel this way if Stroud wasn't available by the way. If Stroud stayed in college for instance, and the top QBs available were Young/Richardson/Levis, I would be 1000% okay with picking Young and letting the consequences be what they would be. I just feel like Stroud is about as a sure lock for greatness as there can be outside of a Peyton Manning, John Elway, or once in a generation type. My feeling is Stroud's floor is a longer version of Andrew Luck's career.

When I think about it some more, I feel Stroud is more likely to give me Brees/Brady, than Young will give me Mahomes.

So I mentioned this in another thread, and I'm interested if others feel the same way. Depending on who we choose, which one could you live with if he turns out to be a bust for us, and the other goes on to have a prolific career? I know many of us have said they are cool with either Stroud or Young. A can't lose situation. However, it's possible one of these guys could have a bad career, or have an injury prone career. It's also possible both these guys could be busters. Ultimately, if we pick Stroud and he plummets, while Young goes to multiple pro bowls, could you live with the decision that we went Stroud? Vice versa, if we pick Young and he folds, while Stroud goes on to rack up all-pros, would you be fine with it? Now, obviously it would suck if the scenario happens for us. Yet my greatest fear would be drafting Young and he bombs, while Stroud gets the accolades. Some might ask me why I could live with Stroud being a dud? Of course it's obvious why. Young may have playmaking potential, and he can play from the pocket, but there is a risk with his size. That risk if you ask me, includes health and performance. Stroud is the cookie cutter QB here. He is the natural passer. Throwing the ball for him is effortless. To me, this effortlessness is HUGE! A skill like that is pure gold in my sight. I know folks call Young the mini-Mahomes in that he can extend and make plays. That's great, but I actually prefer the business aspect of dissecting defenses with quick accurate throws. Give me the Drew Brees style of play. Give me the Tom Brady style. I'm good with Stroud's ability to potentially give me that. I can die on that sword. So fess up people! Lets talk some real -ish here! None of that "I'm good with both" stuff!!!!! Which one could you live with should he fizzle out?

And that is really a thing for me. You see if we draft Stroud and he has an underwhelming career, while Young has a great career, I can live with that. Yet if the opposite happens, and Young struggles more do due to his size, for me that would be unforgiveable. I know a lot of people say they are good with either, but honestly speaking for me, Stroud has to be the pick. If Stroud wasn't in this draft, I would be cool with drafting Young. Richardson is a project, and of course Will Levis is a poor man's Jeff George. So yeah I would be cool with Young in that instance. However, Stroud has everything going for him. In most drafts where there isn't a Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck, Stroud is the sure fire number one overall pick. An instant day one starter. At the end of the day, Young's size make him a project QB in my mind.

Of course. Yet we know the pick will be between these two, and both project to great careers. The sure bet comes in when you consider Stroud has the size and natural passing instinct.

I know, but it's the same for all the talent coming into the NFL. Both Young and Stroud project to these things. With Stroud being the "safer" pick, it also says he's the safer bet for multiple probowls. I would say it's not a safer pick, but the sure bet.

I could see that if the safer pick here was a game manager. Stroud is no scrub. He is a sure fire multiple probowl QB. Could Young be a once in a lifetime QB if you take that swing? Yeah. Yet with that said, I honestly see the same thing for Stroud. If the safer pick has the ability to be Hall of Fame worthy, we call that a sure bet!!!

One thing I find interesting about the Young vs Stroud debate, is the consensus of Young being the better overall talent. This is something I wouldn't deny, but folks acting like Young is head and shoulders in that area. To that I say, I'm not seeing it. These guys are close in talent. Even if Young was 6'3" or 6'4'', I still might take Stroud over Young due to him being the more fluid passer. Yeah, give me the guy who doesn't have to think about his mechanics.

If he gets 15+ sacks, he will seek to be among the top 5 defensive players in the league. If he gets 20+ sacks, he will seek to set the new market on defensives players.

Shoot, I might draft this dude just so my team wouldn't have to face him. Try to figure out how to tackle this guy.

Jeremy Chinn will be a TE's thorn, and a special teams assassin.

Not only can Drew fly in run coverage and blitzing, but with his size, he can close down throwing lanes. It's like have an DE a few yards away from the line of scrimmage to bat down passes. Man, with him, the defense's interception numbers would truly rise!

This the first time I've seen players get released, get signed, get released, and get traded.

And if he was 5'6", he would probably go undrafted.
