Not sure what the Steelers expected with this Aaron Rodgers thing
Tom Brady at Tampa has everyone going for the guy who was great getting one more chance at a ring. But Brady was an exception, AR was not as good as Brady, and Brady had great receivers and a good defense at Tampa. AR has a good defense, but the offensive talent is not there.

A Broncos v Texans Championship game is basically first to score 3 points wins.
I was going to say Seattle/Texan Superbowl, but that works to.
Then again, Seattle Texas would likely end up being 14 - 10, with two defensive scores for Seattle and One for Houston.

Miami also doesn't have an elite performing secondary and is extremely banged up. That isn't a recipe for success against an otherworldly QB.
IMO, Chambliss performed just as well as Indiana's qb.
But my point was this.
Oregon's first half offensive possessions went like this last night.
Pick 6 to start the game.
Drive for a TD
Punt
Fumble which led to a Indiana TD.
Punt
Fumble which led to an Indiana TD.
Missed fg.
The offense essentially gave Indiana 3 td's.
Alabama wasn't quite as bad, but when down 3-0, they made a bad call to go for it on 4th on their own side of the field, and didn't make it. Led to an Indiana TD. Then they had a fumble when they were about to move into fg range. Indiana scored a td there as well. From 3-0 to 17-0 in a couple of series, due to Alabama mistakes.
If Miami can avoid mistakes like that, they have a shot. Maybe not a good one, but a shot nonetheless.
-
Not that it means a lot, but Miami handled Ohio State much easier than Indiana did. I believe that is their only common opponent.
Both of Indiana's cfp opponents had early costly mistakes. If Miami can avoid those, then they have a shot. If not, it will likely be a long night for them.

The Rams are a better team, just like last time. Only have to be better than them for 3 hours though
just hoping for an exciting game where we don't chit down our leg...like we've been doing recently.
Watching them play for the last month or so, not sure I agree. Their defense has been terrible for the last month and a half or so. And winning in post season is usually about the defense.
Defense and run game is why the Seahawks are probably going to be the NFC rep in the Superbowl.

I will be glad when September gets here, so we can start talking about how they are doing instead of how they might do.
That being said, I don't think think we will play that well at first, and we could end up 1-3 after the first four games, but we will hopefully get better as the season goes along.
I am happy with the way things turned out. We looked bad early, but with two of our losses coming against two of the three best teams we played (Jacksonville, NE, and Seattle).
Now we just need to keep improving next year.

The problem with our two back system, at least to me is they are the same type of back. Both are maulers that perform better the more they are used. We don’t have a Montgomery and Gibbs situation where one is a scat back and the other is a mauler. I don’t see how Chuba and Rico fit on the same team cohesively unless you plan on handing the ball off 50 times a game…which might be the plan
Not sure if i agree. Rico is more explosive and runs just as well early in the game as he does late. Hubbard seems to be more of a gets better as the game goes along type, but i think he needs our interior line healthy. He also seems to be hesitant right now, and waits to long. He might get better as the season rolls along.

They won against the Dolphins and Jets but I'm not sure I would say they played competitively in those games. It was more of a play not to lose.
But I get your point.
In fairness, the Jets have played virtually everyone tough. Two point losses to the Steelers, Bucs, and Broncos. Only the Bills blew them out. They have a defense that has played well at times.
Regarding the Dolphins, early turnovers put us in a hole, but we played very well after the first qtr.

Does Baker count as far as playing great? Or Goff? It sounds like aside from Burrow they just needed different teams.
I suppose it depends on the definition of elite. I wouldn't consider Baker elite, but he is probably top 10 or 15 in the NFL.

Joe burrow? Or is this a technicality because he’s hurt?
I forgot about Burrow, he is elite when healthy.

He had at least 30+ yards of green grass and maybe a o lineman on that side of the field to stop him
He had to wait on the ball as it was a slow/softball type of pass. He also would have to hesitate for just a split second to decide which way to go. The WR might have gotten him, or the linemen might have slowed him down just enough for someone else to catch him.
That being said, he should have caught it, but I don't think its that big of a deal, especially since we won.

Why was Daniels even out there in the first place when the game is already effectively over? Surely, that question will be coming up.
So many NFL coaches do that, leave a valuable starter in when the game is no longer in doubt. If I am the Washington or Seattle Coach right now, I would have as many starters as I could on the bench. Serious injuries are far more likely than some crazy comeback.

I read your board this week and none of you thought you would win. That alone made me uneasy.
I thought we might be close for a while. You guys were coming off a big win in Pitt, and we were blown out by Buffalo, so we had some motivation while you guys were due for a letdown. But I didn't think we would win.
-
I think Canales answered this question (temporarily) today. I do wonder if Rico will be able to go next week though as he was pretty beat up today.
-
NFL and indeed sports in general can just seem so crazy and inconsistent at times.
We destroyed Atlanta. We got buried by Buffalo and New England. Atlanta beat Buffalo and nearly beat New England. Atlanta lost to Miami and we beat up on them after a bad first quarter.
Green Bay beat the two best teams it has played, yet tied Dallas and lost to Cleveland.
Guess all the craziness is part of the reason we love it.

Washington looks terrible. Darnold might have 300 yards by halftime. Seahawks have a good team, but I think its just going to be one of those nights for Washington.
-
I don't think there was a chance that he would have gotten a pick 6. He had to wait to long on the ball.

With that INT, Ty Okada might want to try out for WR.

He is great in run defense, and not bad in pass defense.

This one stings. This hurts especially at Lambeau. Now I know how the Blue Jays feel.
Losing a SB, or a WS is far worse. Most of us still haven't gotten over the 2016 SB.

You don’t draft game managers number one overall.
If you look at the list of elite Qb's playing today, not a one of them was drafted number one. In fact, only one (stafford) has been to a SB.

Yeah I just cant figure this team out. Some weeks our defense is lights out, other weeks it the worst I have ever seen.
Then the team has a ton of young talent and at the same time full of JAGs lolI am still not sold on Bryce or Canales, which is obviously the most important pieces but its nice to be competitive and in games.
Nice turn around by this franchise compared to last year. Props to them
Lots of youth is the only thing i can figure out. Young players tend to be less consistent.

Apparently the special teams coach made the call that allowed us to have the wind in the second half.

I won't be surprised if Malik ends up in Pittsburgh.
And unless the Steelers revamp their offense, it will not go well for him.
