Mr Rajack may not have been very useful to the team, but I must admit he can write a decent self-promotion article.

One of the issues I had with Fitterer was that he seemed to encourage Tepper to get involved in some decisions that should’ve been made by just Scott and the front office/coaches.
There’s not a ton of hard evidence of course, but from what we do have (The draft vids the team produced), it almost looked like Tepper was playing the role of Assistant GM at times. Maybe Fitterer was just too nice and wanted to keep Dave happy, but some of that stuff was alarming.
Hopefully Morgan can strike a proper balance between keeping Tepper informed of what’s happening and remaining firmly in control of team decisions.

John Fox is still out there on the sidelines today as a coach. He is with the Lions. Last time we played them he was there smacking that gum
I’ve come to the conclusion that Fox’s wife banned him from chewing gum in the house at some point. The main reason he’s still coaching is to be able to do it with impunity for a few hours on Sunday

Is this the Dan Morgan that used to play for us?
Yes, but better known as the guy that posted here and owned a short-lived pizza place

Have to say that the absence of leaks from the organization so far is kinda refreshing. I feel like if this was last year, we’d have already seen 100 pics of Dave and Nicole interviewing the candidates along with every national and local reporter mentioning who Dave will do anything to hire.
Maybe things are changing. Slightly at least, but it’s a start.

Nick Sirianni is a Frank Reich guy. Reading all the stories today about dysfunction between Jalen Hurts, Sirianni and the O.C. Brian Johnson regarding the direction the Eagles offense seems eerily similar to what our offense experienced this season.
Makes you wonder if the apple perhaps doesn't fall far from the tree.
I always thought Sirianni was just standing up for Frank by calling him the best coach he’s ever been around. But yeah, they do seem like the same coach at this point. I’m sure he’d take that as a huge compliment.

Richardson’s organizational hires were generally league average to slightly above. If Tepper hires someone that could be considered league average, it would be a major improvement.

Only if he sucks.
Yeah. People are saying that paying a coach that much money gives them no incentive to perform. I would disagree, Tepper would probably extend him for 50m per if he turns the team around and makes the playoffs consistently.

Second only to Carruth.
The difference is that Tepper would become more likable by hiding in a trunk when football decisions are being made.

Duce Staley comes to mind instantly
Definitely sounds that way since the article described it as a league source. Can’t be described as a Panthers source if you don’t work here anymore.
Gotta hope it is a coach, someone in the front office doing that would be so much worse.

Beating a dead horse but every great thing that about BY leading up to the draft was just said and not seen, for me at least. All the great ball placement talk, being fast, great processor were things that people said that I did not see in his college game "film." In fact, everything they were saying about him I personally saw from Stroud, but those things weren't synonymous with Stroud. Sometimes, just passing the eye test is enough.
Main difference I’ve seen is Stroud’s best college attribute (Deep intermediate accuracy/placement) has translated flawlessly to the NFL, while Bryce’s (Playmaking ability and decision making) hasn’t really shown up. The state of our OL/WRs and a bad system fit don’t help either.

You might be able to say that Frank checked out at some point during the season, but it was way more obvious that Seifert didn’t care at all during his last season.
The 1999 season alone is enough to put him ahead of Rhule & Frank though, easily the most fun non-playoff team the Panthers have ever fielded.

Hubbard/Blackshear rotation at RB, move Sanders to the slot.

I think the sharks being referred to would be the type that want to choose their own GM or at least have some control in building a roster. Definitely similar to what Harbaugh was seeking from the Vikings last offseason.
I can also see why some coaches might prefer the Panthers job to something like the Chargers. Going 9-8 there would immediately put you on the hot seat and there’s pretty much no chance of getting close to the playoffs with that record in a tough AFC.
Going 9-8 here would probably earn you a parade and a lifetime contract from Tepper. That’s how low the bar is at this point.

Probably Duce. If the team isn’t gonna be entertaining at all, at least the coach could be.

Breaking News - Nicole Tepper has designed her own virtual reality headset for Bryce Young to wear to help aid and prepare him for future games. The VR headset will feature the latest AI advancements. The programming will feature 11 virtual Nicole Teppers in full NFL gear coming at Bryce like spider monkeys all jacked up on Moutain Dew.
Source - some guy named Dave that was at the gas station this am asking for change
I’m pretty confident that a defense of 11 Nicoles would still get a sack or two against Bryce.

When was that?
I remember David being in on draft stuff but not her
It was from the series of vids they released about the offseason. The 3rd one. There were other weird moments, like when Dave was convinced they were the only ones who knew about Chandler Zavala as if NC State was a division 3 school in Wyoming.

I’m guessing it’s so Reich doesn’t fall asleep on the sideline, but even that would barely make the top 10 most embarrassing moments of the season so far.
