  1. This is just a dream scenario everyone here would love to see but I doubt many people considered it to be plausible.
  2. Agreed. But it does serve a purpose. I’m highly entertained.
  3. I’ll take whatever positive vibes they are sending. Agree with a lot of the posts about comments last year so won’t get overly excited but not gonna pass up an opportunity for optimism. The alternative is hoping Robbie starts catching and stops tweeting.
  4. Probability says based on current state, Darnold starts day 1. That said, my ideal scenario would be for Corral to start day 1. If he does he is at the very least, slightly better than Darnold. If this happens at a minimum, his floor is a backup and we go swing next year. Best case scenario you have found a QB for the foreseeable future.
  5. I think that is a quote from Rhule based on the OTAs they had the other week. I think the "ways to go" comment can be said for virtually any rookie at that point in time. Its premature to make conclusions based on a guys first week as he probably still has to ask for directions on how to get to the bathroom at this point. I am gonna be patient and focus on real things to be enraged over. Like Robbie tweeting or Rhule playing ping pong. Those are the things we should be worried about...
  6. Not a Mayfield fan but I gotta think this crap coming out of Mint Street is designed to lower Bakers price tag.
  7. Based on my most likely biased and definitely unscientific opinion, ends take around 3 years to develop (excluding elite guys like Peppers and such). We will likely find out what we have in YGM this year. Signing an experienced guy will enhance the competition and likely help YGM grow. Nothing wrong with an affordable contract.
  8. Robbie looked like he retired last September...
  9. That soccer team he fielded yesterday was epic
  10. I think before the Browns cut Mayfield they will get desperate and someone will get him for cheap. As you may know 18 million is a lot to eat.
  11. Without knowing specifics I think he has done a good job. I suspect there has been a power shift from Rhule holding all the power to them having confidence in his input. I think he has done a fairly decent job thus far. Still have to judge him on perceived value based on what he has gotten. Draft this year and last looks good if they start to produce. The FA signings to fix the line this year looks good on paper. On value and need he gets an A with the exception of the Anderson deal. Production is a TBD.
  12. I think he has had some reps there and I dont think it was inspiring although I am not 100% sure. While its not exactly the same thing as trying to make Nate Chandler an OT, he will be out of his natural position. I would not expect him to be great there or perform without a drop off in effectiveness. It might be best for fielding the "best team you can" but I think if this happens it will likely become evident that this MLB is a glaring need for the team.
  13. Correlation does not always equate to cause. We lose cause our QB sucks and have been coached by what looks to be pop Warner staff.
  14. Darnold will probably look good thru camp and the narrative of "turning the corner" and "trusting the process" will be pushed on us endlessly by the Mint Street propaganda machine. Trouble with Sam is between his ears and when he gets in live situations he repeatedly does the wrong thing. I think they have to really think hard about starting Corral sooner than later if he looks like he is capable.
  15. I think there is logic in all of this and proves bold doesn't have to be far fetched. I agree with Deshaun suspension. It is inevitable. If Cleveland gets a bit more desperate, I can see this happening. I think Cam ends up in Houston or Seattle.
  16. This is a very interesting point. Im concerned with burning thru rollover cap and being strapped next year. That said, I’d be fine going in with what we’ve got and lean towards not messing with Mayfield. But, I do think there might be a compromise where it makes sense.
  17. No disrespect against anyone wanting the latest and greatest but I can’t justify the expense. I end up buying the old model that turns out to be a huge upgrade over what I currently own.
  18. Unless Cleveland gets more desperate to offload then we roll with what we’ve got. im not sure how well this post will age but I’m going with that.
  19. I think this sums it up. My heart says baker gives us a better shot at winning so go team. My head says baker hides the warts for another year and delays the inevitable. I want to roll with what we’ve got. See what Corral gives us and address next year if/when needed.
  20. My kids play HS sports but we never push them. It has always been school comes first and they know it. IMO the best thing is to guide them to be well rounded and successful academically. Feel sorry for the kids that are pushed into a corner and forced to perform for their parents.
  21. Second this. Similar career and my default starting point is to filter out the BS and find substance. Some people think if you keep on saying it the it will become the truth.
