  1. Perhaps ... but I am not convinced yet. He never really had more time ... we just played inferior teams. Hard to read defenses when you never stop moving ... whether backpeddling or moving out of the pocket that never formed. I'd like to see Sam behind this new line that is being put together.
  2. Still hoping for an LT at #6 who will be on a rookie contract for the next few years. That said ... I would be happy with either Arm or Brown. Put him next to Brown and we are solid across the line. Still think Brown is our LG. If it weren't for Rhule wanting his OL to be track stars and capable of playing several positions, he would have been the starter already. We need an IOL that is the best at playing IOL. Save the flexibility for backups.
  3. Having a legitimate OL may light a spark under Sam. He seemed to unravel last year as pockets were collapsing all-around him. If we don't get Watson, let's fix OL before deciding on next step with QB. Would love to see Corbett and Brown as our starting OGs with Moton and our #6 pick at the bookends.
  4. Will stick with my preseason assessment ... If given the chance, Brown will be our best OG. Don't have to be fast or able to play several positions to be an above average guard. He should have been drafted before we got him. We got lucky and wasted it away.
  5. Was great watching him scribble all over the screen with the 'chalkboard' ... when that technology was fresh..
  6. Well that just sucks. Feels like part of the game just died.. RIP.
  7. Arrogance manifested in a childish primadonna belief that being an nfl player conveys a sense of entitlement. Enjoy it while you still have people that put you on the altar. In 5 years, you'll just be a dude with bad hair driving a nice car.
  8. Either way ... the world is winning.
  9. Don't recall seeing a 'bagger' suck at his job as bad as Brown sucks at his. I'll save the Boos for Brown.
  10. Leave him at LT and start Brown at guard. Brown was a stud in college and should have been drafted earlier than when we got him. It's OK to have a big body in the interior. I don't care if he is versatile and can play multiple positions. He doesn't need to run the 40 in under 4.8 sec. Move the pile. A good rookie guard to replace Miller will suffice.
  11. TBK .. I often align with your posts, except when you change teams. However, not this time. More like infusing some oxygen into a vacuum. There have been much bigger moments ... probably not even top 10 in my opinion. As often is the case, being the contrarian is not popular until it becomes a reality. Cam is a good move ... but not the answer. Let's see a couple full games vs a few snaps.
  12. Pretty funny actually ... On a serious note, relocated and not seeing many games. Are they taking away the edge as his game is mostly speed.?
  13. A while back ... It practically was every halftime show for the Panthers. Frisbee dogs and dudes riding bicycles.
  14. We'll be there .... Looking forward to the game and cooler weather.
  15. Wow ... we've had our share of bad ones. As for coach, probably Henning being closely followed by Seifert. Seifert only had success in SF because of his predecessor. He never should have been a coach. For the player ... probably Rashard Anderson. Couldn't cover a baby with a blanket.
  16. Perhaps we should let her know that Samuel is on WFT ... or maybe not.
  17. While I don't agree with every trade and pick, I feel like this was a more cerebral draft than anything Hurney did ... Or was capable of doing. Been a PSL owner since 95 and I don't need to agree with EVERY decision to get behind it. Let's roll and move forward. Overall, excited about the additions. Hope they make the most of it.
  18. In regards to our 1st rd pick, let's not lose sight of the fact that we had a HUGE hole at CB. Bottom 2 or 3 CB core in the league. LT was not our only glaring hole. Lets fill more holes today whether at IOL, LT, S or WR.
  19. I'd be OK with spending some coin on a free agent LT (ie Villanueva ... Or however it's spelled) and let's draft BPA. We may be able to nicely fill some holes at other need positions with BPA (ie. IOL, S, WR). Our guard play last year was terrible. There are NFL starters available in rds 2 & 3 at these positions.
  20. Great player but maybe not the best judge of talent when it involves family or Alma mater.
  21. Matt was a liability as a tackle ... But a good dude. Glad his acting career continues on.
  22. 89 could get into a CBs head like few others. Loved watching DBs come unraveled. Would love to have him and Norman back in their prime ... For their play and attitude.
  23. Great pics as usual Jeremy ... thanks for sharing. Kudos to you and everything that you have done with the huddle. Wasn't too long ago that you were taking pictures from the stands. Now, you are on the sidelines of the SuperBowl. Pretty cool. Lots of great pics but my favorite was Ealy. I went from 'Whooo! He picked it off!' ... to 'just fall down, please don't fumble' in about half-a-second. The INT was great but his run back seemed like slow motion as he kept running with the ball away from his body.
  24. Great job as usual Jeremy. Thanks for sharing. The pic of JR and Cam speaks volumes about this organization. I truly believe JR has a paternal bond with his players in that he genuinely cares, unlike other owners. It's deeper than just 'having played the game' before. I saw it with Smitty and now others.
