A 10 pt lead on 2nd place with 12 games to play isn't exactly unchokable. But, PITÂ or CBJ would need to go undefeated AND we would have to finish the season well under .500.
If we win today, we'll get to see a lot of DLo, Philp, Leggo, Nads, KK and Reilly over the next month.
Yep because rods a tard.
Â
Granted I want to see a lot of Nadeu....Â
But also probably not thats a long time to rest some people maybe on a rotation basis got guys that are banged up.

Win this one, I feel solid we lock up the metro.Â
? We are 2-1Â vs them so far this year? Odd measuring stick especially as I see them as a weak team with an inflated point total (16 OTLS) they are basically a .500 teamÂ

@Stumpy anther thing to keep in mind for the playoffs is rod is pretty open about the fact that he DOEST line match in the regular season at all, but he does religiously in the playoffs and as of right now until we play colorado we will have home ice advantage.
One plus to scoring more is our HOME/road splits are much better this year than the past 3. Â

Remind me of the Oilers, have to outscore a team to win - not a good look for the playoffs
I tend to agree but at the same time i suspect the d tightens up some in the playoffs.... IE like last year were they went from hemorrhaging goals the month before to lock down in the playoffs (I dont expect it to be as dramatic this year) the biggest thing is the offense can't dry up completely.

Canes are so fascinating. Despite inconsistent defense and poor goalie play they keep winning.Â
It's because they are third in GFG at 3.48....only tampa and Colorado are higher and they aren't by mucb.

Not you taking about being a Homer. Thats the twitter or Facebook people haha. This place is honest at least.Â
ÂI thought miller could be good when they traded for him. Now I’m with you. I can’t stand it. Â
Âim very concerned. Tonight is aÂ
Most of the twitter and Facebook crowd are causals who don't even know what "icing" is they are the same people who were pissed we didnt give doggie Hamilton a that albatross contract the devils tried to unload.Â
The same assclowns who tell you to "shut up and support our team! When you point out the spots that NEED upgrades.
I'm as die hard as you are but I'm not gonna stress it because as soon as they did nothing I resigned myself to another ECF beat down at best.

Another thought. They’re getting blown out in some of these last five or six games. The worst team in the league in the flames annihilated the canes. They got blown out last night. That two to one lost versus the Kraken was a blowout, even though it was only one point game. They blow late leads. If you’re not concerned, you’re just too much of a homer.
Not concerned also not a homer, I just made peace with all of this already when they did nothing at the TDL,Didn't love the Miller trade when it happened hate it now.... hes a huge liability.
Nikishin is a rookie so I cut him some slack (plus at least he offers offense to compensate) Miller outside of two games hasnt even done that 4 goals on the season Nikishin has more production in 5 less minutes of ice time per game.Â
I'm telling you rod doesnt know what the f*ck to do when he doenst have even numbers of LHD AND RHD D.

The canes are one bad season from ending up like the maple leafs. They are flirting with a cup or a total retool.  If they don’t win it, Rod or Tulsky is gone.Â
Lol even if rod gets the axe they aren't close to a full tear down dude... like not at all. Keep in mind they refused to deal assets because of "yada yada future success"Â

I haven’t been able to watch a lot of games lately.. but I heard Busdi is regressing?? Which I thought was odd with his crazy start??Â
He was playing out of his mind he was bound to regress, some of it is teams figuring out his tendencies and some of it is JUST HOW BAD OUR DEFENSE HAS BEEN.

Your math is off there. 63 games x 16.5 TOI = ~1000 minutes total ice time. 53 games x 9 TOI = ~500 minutes total ice time.
Double the ice time, double the production.
Janky might be slightly more productive on the year. However, if we take this discussion outside of that fancy Dyson vacuum, you could factor in things like positional changes, age, progression or experience.
Stank started the season learning a completely new position in his 2nd full NHL season. He was hot garbage to begin and has gotten consistently better ever since.
Jank is the same player now, that he was in October. You absolutely cannot say the same for Logan.
And, if you think that Jankowski, currently, is a better 2C for this team than Stankoven, then I have some authentic Panthers SB50 Championship Rings to sell you.

touche. LETS see how your little buddy does in the playoffs at Center....Â

Obviously, there is more to being a center than just faceoffs and driving the net. Stankyboi is still putting it all together. And, he may never be a true net front presence. But, if he can do all the other duties of the job, we can build up size around him in the future.
For this coming playoffs, though? He might not be that much bigger than Stank, however, Jackson Blake crashes the goal with the most reckless abandon I've seen in a Canes sweater in years. Dude is fuging fearless!
Oh don't get me wrong all of our smurfs will drive the net, its just in the playoffs were physicality ramps up you can't make up for being outweighed by 40+ pounds and give up 5+ inches in height with "grit" and "gumption" for the playoffs I'd honestly be tempted to have Stanky back on the wing, have Janakowski man the 2c and KK the fourth line.... (Janakowski has been productive for his very limited TOI) and tbh Stankoven has 30 points in 63 games played averaging 16.5 minutes of ice time, Janakowski has 16 in 53 games averaging just a shade over 9 minutes of ice time, Stanky has spent almost 3x as much time on the ice for less than double the production, and he doesn't provide the same sizeÂ

Stanky isn't a bad player but come playoff time he won't be able to be even a minor inconvenience net front. Outside of Svechnikov our top six is severely undersizedÂ
